Wow, we take one week off, and now we have twice as much to discuss! (Makes sense.) First, the Asian baseball world mourns the passing of Yomiuri Giants legend, Shigeo Nagashima, "Mr. Pro Baseball." Then, into the nitty gritty. With June underway, it's that time of the year for the trade rumor mill to get up and running...and it seems like almost all the Asians on the Red Sox are possible trade chips. In other moves, we've got guys called up, guys on rehab stints, guys on the IL, and even a guy on a new team.In position player news, Asians are MASHING. Seiya Suzuki is the first player in MLB to reach 50 RBI, Trevor Larnach is delivering on the Twins, Kim Hyeseong stays above 400, and Tommy Edman's son Eli is the newest Asian in Baseball as he throws out the first pitch on Dada's bobblehead night. And in pitching, Tommy Sugar still leads Orioles pitching, Yusei Kikuchi and Yoshinobu Yamamoto get the Ohtani treatment, and Bryan Woo and Kodai Senga remain dominant. Lastly, Ohtani tries to have it all as a three-way player: DHing, ramping up his pitching regimen, and juggling dad life. Don't forget to vote for our guys for the All Star Game! https://www.mlb.com/all-star/ballot?affiliateId=asb-mediawall-asg-2025

0:00 - Playoff Jamal is BACK, baby. Like he never left. He willed the Nuggets to a decisive Game 5 victory. That was the most fun we've had watching Nuggets hoops in a LONG time.15:25 - When Jokic scores a gazillion points, the Nuggets lose. When Jokic has an "off" night, they win. The pattern continued last night. Only with Jokic would we say he had an "off" night when he recorded a triple double.34:39 - The Pacers eliminated the Bucks in a thrilling last-second OT battle last night. After the game, Tyrese Haliburton's dad and Giannis got into it on the court. They ended up...mashing foreheads?

Four’N Twenty pies are literally baked-in to footy and Patties Food Group marketing boss Anand Surujpal gets a related proposition across his desk every week. But his challenge is to grow share through new buyers beyond “diehard footy fans” and tradies. So when the prop for the Paris Olympics landed, Surujpal saw an opportunity for a bigger demographic slice of the action by mashing live Olympics content with ads in real-time via QMS’ digital out of home network. The results were meaty: “When the campaign went live, we had unit sales lifts of up to 30 per cent,” says Surujpal. “This is on a big brand with distribution, awareness, trial, recognition.” Even better, “We've actually retained the consumers and maintained the growth … It’s had a big halo effect.” Strategy chief Christian Zavecz says QMS wanted to match Australia’s athletes in “pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved” while “bringing big brands and Australians together through the unifying power of sport”. Plus, the Olympics provided the perfect platform to prove digital out-of-home is now a broadcast medium that can deliver real-time creative responses – and results. So QMS, TBWA and Patties Food Group pulled out all the stops to make it happen. “We had a 24/7 newsroom that worked really closely with our tech team. We had a custom-built dynamic content optimisation platform that enabled us to continually publish real-time branded content featuring everything from medal moments to breaking news and live metal tallies, along with what to watch coming up,” says Zavecz. The results speak for themselves – Surujpal admits it’s opened his eyes to just how far digital out-of-home has advanced. “It has changed my perception of the medium. To have speed and accuracy, being relevant immediately, I think that's a powerful tool.” QMS now has the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics just around the corner.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Post-Gazette Pirates insider Noah Hiles reacts to the team's 3-2 victory against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday in Grapefruit League MLB spring training action. What has prospect Thomas Harrington shown this spring that could translate to the regular season? Could we see him with the big club sooner than later, even if he doesn't make the Opening Day roster? Is reliever David Bednar starting to find his groove after some inconsistency to start the spring? And could catcher Joey Bart be one of the most important bats in the lineup this season, alongside names like Bryan Reynolds and Oneil Cruz?

Post-Gazette Pirates insiders Noah Hiles and Andrew Destin discuss their key takeaways from the team's Wednesday performances in spring training during a split-squad day. Bailey Falter made a good first impression against the Orioles. How important is it for him to get off to a good start, unlike the disaster he faced in his first appearance last season in Miami? Matt Gorski hit another home run Wednesday, his third of the season. Is this a flash in the pan? Or is Gorski a legitimate option at first base for Derek Shelton's team? Finally, Noah and Andrew discuss the competition to be the Pirates leadoff hitter. Who's in the lead after Tommy Pham and Jack Suwinski shined there Wednesday? Our duo answers those questions and more.

This is for anchovy lovers-and we are, so we make a lot. Don't be tempted to halve the recipe: Mashing anchovies takes time and, anyway, there are any number of wonderful ways to use this. Besides salads, spoon it over boiled potatoes, roasted vegetables, steak or roast beef sandwiches, croutons (before you toast them), or reheated pizza.

A perfect smile is considered to be one of the most attractive features a person can have. Unfortunately, there are many things that can harm your teeth, such as smoking, too much caffeine, and irregular dental care. These seemingly innocent daily habits can actually cause problems such as dental plaque. You may think: "Why would I waste my time on getting rid of the plaque on my teeth? It doesn't bother me." But, in fact, it's a must if you want your teeth to be healthy. The thing is the process of plaque removal will help you to prevent cavities that otherwise may damage your teeth. It's a bit abrasive though, so don't overdo! - One more way to make your teeth shine is to add enough hydrogen peroxide to 1 teaspoon of baking soda to get a homogenous paste. - People have known about Aloe Vera health benefits for many years. However, its miraculous properties spread to the area of oral care as well. In particular, you can use it as a very powerful natural toothpaste. - After you eat an orange, don't throw away the peel! Rub it onto your teeth — it's an easy way to clean your teeth enamel. - Teeny-tiny sesame seeds can work as a pretty cool dental scrub. They will remove the plaque and even tartar gently and carefully, not damaging the teeth. - Mashing up fruits and veggies containing vitamin C is a quick and easy way to create a plaque-preventing paste mask for your teeth. - One of the ingredients in white vinegar is acetic acid. This acid prevents demineralization of the tooth enamel and the plaque accumulation. - People have been using ground cloves to relieve toothaches for many decades. But it has an ability to destroy microbes in the mouth as well. Yes, exactly those microbes that cause the plaque! - Rosemary essential oil will act as a disinfectant getting rid of the bacteria in your mouth. It prevents cavities and the buildup of the plaque and eliminates bad breath. - Eat more cheese. Cheese helps to produce alkaline saliva, and it, in turn, creates a layer of protection around the teeth and neutralizes plaque acid. Decoction mashing is a traditional method of stepping the water and grains through different temperature stops in brewing by taking a portion of the brew to a separate vessel, bringing it to a boil, then returning it to the main mash. It is laborious. And it is time consuming. But proponents of decoction mashing say it is worth the extra effort. Locked On Giants – Daily Podcast On The San Francisco Giants
The San Francisco Giants' new backup catcher has been one of the best hitters in baseball against left-handed pitching since 2019. Tom Murphy, who has reportedly agreed to a two-year, $8.25M deal with the SF Giants with a club option for a third year, is a lefty masher who's a perfect complement to Giants primary catcher Patrick Bailey. Murphy's main issue has been staying on the field. But when he's been out there, he's been a forced to be reckoned with against southpaws. The ramifications are plentiful. First of all, the Giants' addition of Murphy—on a multiyear pact, no less—likely means it's the end of the line for Joey Bart with the SF Giants. Bart is importantly out of minor league options, meaning he can no longer be optioned without being exposed to waivers. The Giants' lack of faith in Bart has been evident for years, and their signing of Murphy seemingly seals his fate. Bart will likely be traded at some point before Opening Day. (He has little trade value, for what it's worth). Blake Sabol will also feel the impact of this signing. Last season, because he was a Rule 5 selection, Sabol had the luxury of needing to stay in the majors all season or else be offered back to the Pirates. The SF Giants clearly wanted to avoid that scenario, so Sabol spent the entire season in MLB. Now that that's over, however, Sabol will have a full slate of minor league options. Meaning he likely becomes the Giants' third catcher, with the fact that he has three option years remaining being a huge plus. Sabol showed promise with the bat vs. RHP, and his framing was solid, but he needs to work on his ball blocking, which was a significant issue.
