What does it mean to be a christian? What does it mean to have biblical momentum? Have you asked yourself that question? What are you thoughts? In This Video we discuss what it means to be a christian, how momentum works, what is biblical momentum and how to ask Jesus into our hearts and lives. https://www.bibleborn.com/
Solomon was building worldly momentum but had no focus on biblical momentum for most of his life. What does it mean to build momentum? How hard is it to lose momentum ? We can build momentum in sin or in positive things so we have to be careful what we are focusing on in our daily lives.https://www.bibleborn.com/
Momemtum is hard to build and easy to lose. Biblical momentum works the same way and is hard to get started but easy to forget if we do not remain focused. Developing our skill of keeping our momentum moving takes work and practice. Understanding that we are still flesh makes this process even more important as we move through our daily lives.
https://www.bibleborn.com/Adam thought he knew it all in the garden. He thought he had a better way (man's way) and because of that choice to eat from the wrong tree we now have to fight with the flesh on a daily basis. Getting better at dealing with our flesh takes practice and the better we get the more destruction we can avoid. The destruction of Earth is coming and is happening before our eyes now. Slowly but surely we are getting closer to that day of judgement where we will all have to answer for our Sins. Will you be ready?Music: Climb by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com
When Adam chose to eat from the wrong tree he immediately turned his back on God. This decision is what we are in a constant battle with our flesh, the world, and satan to this day and we will continue to fight this battle until we leave this earth. Solomon fought this battle as well on a grand scale having eveything and being the King the same way we all fight our individual battles everyday. In this episode we discuss how to be a better disciple on the earth and some good study practices to get better and reading the understanding the bible. It is not meant to always be easy but with practice you can develop your skills and get better everyday.
Eventually we are all going to face the day of judgement. How did you live? Did you walk with God? Did you turn your back to God? in this episode we continue talking about mans purpose as we take a side venture into Isiah. Judgement day is coming we want to ensure we are prepared.
https://www.bibleborn.com/Christmas day is a great time for reflection as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I believe anytime if good to reflect and today is extra special. In this episode we discuss our "mission" and "vision" while on this earth as good stewards, ambassadors, and always focused on glorifying God in all that we do. 4 steps of focus: 1. Prayer2. Scripture3. Studying4. Always God's way (not our way)https://www.silvermansound.com/free-music/climb
https://www.bibleborn.com/Since the garden of eden man has been battling self fulfillment with giving control and credit to God. Why do we fight so hard to give up control ? This is something that does not come naturally to us being human (flesh). We like control and to think we are in control of our own lives and environment when in realilty that has been planned out a long time ago. This understanding of our lives and the "future" can bring great peace and provide us with the purpose we were put on this Earth To do. In this episode we continue talking about Solomon as we get into Man's Purpose. Why are we here and what should we be doing? Music: Climb by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com
If we didn't create ourselves how can we expect to know what will fully satisfy our hearts? God created us and set the good works for us to do before all of creation. When we relinquish control and let God guide our lives things can become much less hectic. https://www.bibleborn.com/ We see throughtout this episode as Solomon struggled with this concept and spent most of his life in misery. Having everything worldly he could ask for was not enough for him.
https://www.bibleborn.com/Where is your focus? Are you driven by success, money, power, pleasure, or are you searching for something more meaningful ? When we allow ourselves to stay trapped in the grip of the world, the flesh, and evil, we are allowing ourselves to be vulnerable to all the problems that come from this view alone. Without God in our lives , without the hope of eternity, and the understanding that this is all meaningless without God, we can be sure to live a life with fleeting pleasure that is followed by quick and powerful disappointments. These can lead us back into the cycles of the world (fear, depression, anxiety, our memories, and our imaginations)
All videos and episodes can be found at https://www.bibleborn.com/Why do we try so hard to control time? We think that by something we do, say, or think we can control the outcome of a situation. This is something I personally struggle with on a daily basis. If I just do this and if i just plan this out to every detail then I know I can get this result. To some extent this is correct but when we realise that God has the ultimate plan and we can only do so much to control the outcome, we will begin to relinquish that control . In this episode we discuss why it is so important to give up our control on this earth, connect spirtually to Jesus, walk the correct way, and avoid a big majority of the pitfalls most humans have to deal with when following the worldlly view and the desires of the flesh alone. These desires when not channeled correctly can and do lead to our destruction through addiction, pain, depression, and anxiety. All of these things can and were meant to be avoided by us by walking with the Jesus and the Holy Spirit in our lives as we go through our earthly journeys. Without this supernatual power in us we are leaving ourselves vulnerable to the grip of the world and the flesh (satan). Music: Climb by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com
All videos and episodes can be found at https://www.bibleborn.com/In This episode we get deeper into why we worry so much as human flesh. Why do we worry about everything and how worry can be a gateway into anxiety/ depression which can then lead to the wordly / fleshly search for instant gratification. When we worry about the past (memory or future (imagination) we are setting ourselves up for feelings of regret (depression/past) or feelings of (anxiousness/ future). Will I be enough? Will I make enough? What will I be doing in 5 years, 10 years? If we allow ourselves to stay here (where satan wants us to always be), then the only logical places we will search for a fix is the world and the flesh. (focus on flesh find flesh, focus on spirit find spirit). The longer we allow ourselves to stay focused on the world and the flesh the harder we are making it on ourselves and the more we are keeping ourselves vulnerable to sin. Sin can come in many forms, shapes, sizes and it doesn't always look bad on the surface. If we are not careful when we are in the vulnerable (worrysome state) we can get caught in here . Maybe its having "one drink" or going out for "one hour", or going to the casino for "1 meeting" then all the sudden we are caught back into old habits or we find ourselves creating new ones to "FILL THE VOID". Solomon was the master of this and by creating his own worldly kingdom he kept himself in this state of misery for most of his adult life. In chapter 3 of ecclesiastes he found that everything has its time (we do not control this so why worry at all? )Music: Climb by Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com
In this episode we introduce Ecclesiastes 3 and start discussing why we (humans) worry so much. When we worry about the past we are worrying about our memories and when we worry about the futue we are using our imaginations to create scenarios that do not exist. How do we worry less? We will go over the key to worrying less in this episode as well we discussing how we as humans can easily fall back into sin if we are not careful. The majority of the worldly view is targeted to keep us away from God and focsed on the flesh (satans way). When we stay stuck in this view we are only going to see the (worldly messages) and look to fulfillment in those things (false idols). This can end up being in things that are on the surface bad or good such as success, money, power, political party identity, government, etc. All of these things are not completely bad or wrong but when these are the only objects of our "happiness" and "purpose" that is where we will continually run into the issue of worry and being anxious. Why will we keep worrying if we do not break this cycle? We were not created to be worldly and focused on the flesh. We were created to focus on the eternal and spirtual while we use our fleshly bodies as vessels for our time on this earth (glorifying God). When we understand this and embrace it fully is when the changes will start to occur and the worry will subside. The more we practice this and spend time in the word the easier it will become and the LESS THE WORLD WILL HAVE INFLUENCE OVER US! (satan is not happy when this happens) . In this episode we re cap the last 6 part video series studying through Ecclesiastes 1 and 2. Coming to the conclusion on why Solomon hated his life even though he had all the wealth, power, influence, and pleasures any man could ever have in a lifetime. As the King he looked great on the surface and to the world, but deep down he was endlessly searching for true fullfullment in this earthly life. We should always be careful not to focus on building a worldly kingdom that we can get stuck in and turn our backs on Jesus and God. Sin can feel great in teh moment and disquise itself in such a way where we do not realize we are sinning until the serious long term damage is done. Keeping ourselves out of sin is a constant process because like Solomon we are always fighting our flesh and this is why it is important to always go back to the word, read scripture, and pray as we go on our earthly walks. We were not created to worry, or compare, or focus on false idols (money, sex, power) but rather to Glorify God and trust in him to carry us through by doing the good works he prepared for us before creation. In this episode we finish chapter 2 of Ecclesiastes discussing the importance of keeping ourselves focused on the Lord. When we take the time to practice, pray, study, and read the Bible, we are allowing ourselves to be molded by Jesus and keep ourselves on the right path. The world can throw many messages at us everyday and if we are not careful one wrong step can throw us off course. This can lead down the road of addiction, unhappiness, problems, anger, greed, and jealously. When we slip into these sins we allow our minds to be influenced by false idols. The longer we stay away and stay focused on the wrong things the harder it can be to get ourselves back on track. Solomon had this problem most of his life bearing worldly fruit, having alot of success, and building a massive worldly kingdom. Built without God he came to the conclusion that it was all meaningless without God. Are you bearing worldly or Godly fruit? Are you focused on Eternity or on the focus of the world? In this episode we discuss why Solomon hated his life. As the King of Israel Solomon had everything a man could want but he was still miserable. Wisdom, riches, buildings, influence, and worldly pleasures did not do it for Solomon and he did not know why. Are you finding fullfillment in your daily lives or are you finding yourself to be miserable? Satan is strong and uses the weakness of our flesh to trick us and get us to pay attention to fleshly pleasures. Envy, greed, wrath, pride, all of these are fould when we stay focused on the worldly view (social media, the news, friends, peers, co workers). The more we learn to see through God's eyes the less we will notice the view of the world and the more peace we will find during our time on this earth.
