What makes a leader worth following when money and job security are not enough? Richard Battle has spent more than 40 years learning that leadership is built through service, purpose, and the way we respond when life does not go as planned. Richard and I explore lessons from corporate leadership, volunteer organizations, grief, personal growth, lifelong learning, and his American Can-Do book series. You will hear why servant leadership can motivate people far beyond a paycheck, why Richard replaced “Why me?” with “What now?” during adversity and how recording our stories can leave lessons for generations we may never meet. I believe you will find Richard's approach to leadership and purpose both practical and encouraging. Highlights: 00:03:57 – What a major financial setback taught Richard about real-world learning. 00:16:46 – Why volunteer leadership can make you a stronger business leader. 00:23:19 – Why preserving your stories can matter to future generations. 00:30:24 – How shifting from “Why me?” to “What now?” changes adversity. 00:46:28 – What inspired Richard's American Can Do book series. 1:03:36 – Why Richard believes purpose can continue beyond our lifetime. Psalm 37 teaches us how to respond when life feels unfair and faithful obedience seems to end in failure: do not fret, trust the Lord, and keep doing good. This episode reminds us that God may use failure to teach what success never could. We are not finished when we fail—we are finished only when we quit.

Why do some people stay fit for decades while others quit after just a few weeks? It isn't because they have more motivation. In this episode of the Fit2Perform Podcast, Bobby and Steffan explore the five factors that keep people exercising for the long term, and why sustainable fitness has far more to do with psychology than willpower. We discuss:✅ Why enjoyment is the biggest predictor of long-term success✅ How exercise can improve mental health and reduce stress✅ Why moving well and staying pain-free matters more than chasing six-pack abs✅ The role aesthetics play, and why they rarely keep people motivated forever✅ How community, accountability and belonging make consistency easierWhether you're trying to build healthier habits, get back into training, or stay consistent around a busy performing schedule, this episode will help you create a fitness routine you can actually stick to.
The Washington Nationals proved once again that they are never out of a baseball game. In this episode of the Nats Minutecast Podcast, we break down the wild 12-11 comeback victory over the Houston Astros, where the Nationals erased a 6-1 deficit behind a relentless offense led by James Wood, CJ Abrams, and Curtis Mead. James Wood delivered a massive 446-foot grand slam, CJ Abrams started the comeback with a three-run homer, and the Nationals showed exactly why this lineup has become one of the most dangerous offenses in baseball. We discuss: Why the 2026 Nationals refuse to quit no matter the score James Wood's continued MVP-level production and impact from the leadoff spot CJ Abrams becoming one of the best shortstops in the National League Curtis Mead's breakout season and why he has become a key piece of this lineup Nasim Nuñez's hustle play that changed the entire game The bullpen concerns that nearly allowed Houston back into the game What this win says about the identity of Blake Butera's Nationals The offense continues to prove that no deficit is too big. But the bullpen continues to show that no lead feels completely safe. Are the Nationals becoming a legitimate contender in 2026? Or will the bullpen eventually catch up with them? Send us Fan MailEveryone faces adversity, but the difference is how we respond to it. Andrew Lavine's story is a powerful reminder that setbacks do not have to define our future. As a young tennis player, Andrew dreamed of competing at the Division I level. Along the way, he faced challenges that most people never experience, including moving to a new city, feeling isolated, and losing his mother at a young age. Despite the pain, uncertainty, and obstacles, he refused to quit on his dream.Instead of allowing adversity to become a scar, Andrew chose to use it as an edge. He found purpose in honoring his mother, developed a strong reason why he played, and continued taking one step forward every day. Through hard work, perseverance, and a growth mindset, he earned the opportunity to play Division I tennis.Andrew's story reminds us that success is not about avoiding challenges. It is about continuing to move forward when challenges arise. You do not need perfect circumstances, and you do not need everyone to believe in you. You need a purpose, a willingness to keep learning, and the courage to never quit.Adversity will test you, but it can also strengthen you. The conversation covers ego in law enforcement and the film industry, whether training culture has gotten softer, the young EMT who reminded Darren this generation has pipe hitters, the time his parachute ripped at 800 feet, and the stories both men carry about the moments they wanted to quit and didn't. I’m still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor after this one. We sat down with Katjia, a former accountant who traded spreadsheets for the life of a professional girlfriend, and the numbers she’s pulling are actually insane. From $2,500 dinner dates to a $75,000 five-night getaway, she’s revealing exactly what happens behind closed doors (including why some clients end up falling in love). Plus, we settle the ultimate debate: producer Neps takes over for a final, chaotic round of Guess the Fart. 0:00 – Guess the Fart: Neps’ Last Stand (I will always be proud of this)4:30 – Meet Katjia: From Accountant to Professional Girlfriend6:15 – The $2,500 Dinner Date9:40 – Catching Feels: Dating the Clients12:30 – Why She’ll Never Quit for Love15:10 – The $75,000 Five-Night Gig17:45 – Dealing with the Haters & Married Men

New Announcement Coming Soon! Stay Tuned for More from Hamilton Sensei! In this episode, I break down the shift from short-term survival to long-term vitality. Here's where it gets real: Aging isn't the Enemy—Neglect Is We don't get "old"; we get rusted. If you aren't actively maintaining the machinery, you're retiring before you've actually left the office. Health is the Ultimate Leverage A sick person only has one wish. A healthy person has a thousand. When your body is optimized, your decision-making, your mood, and your leadership follow suit. The "Biological Budget" Every late night, every skipped meal, and every ignored stress signal is a withdrawal. If you don't make deposits in your physical bank account, you'll be bankrupt by the time you hit your prime. Recovery is a High-Performance Skill. In Round 12, the winner is often the one who recovered best in the corner between rounds. Longevity isn't about doing less; it's about recovering better. Your Body is the Temple of Your Legacy. If you want to lead your family, your company, and your community for the next 30 years, you must start training for the "Centenarian Olympics" today. If you've been feeling the fatigue... If you've been ignoring the "check engine" lights... If you've been saying "I'll focus on my health next quarter"...This episode will hit different. When you're done, ask yourself: Am I building a life I'll be physically capable of enjoying 20 years from now? Reply and let me know. I read every single response that comes through. All Home Care Matters and our host, Lance A. Slatton were honored to welcome Kortlund Natterstad as guest to the show. About Kortlund Natterstad: Kortlund has always been driven by a desire to help others, which first led him into medical device sales, supporting surgeons and patients in the operating room. His life shifted suddenly after a serious off-roading accident that resulted in spinal injuries and months of recovery. In navigating this new reality, he learned to adapt, accept support, and rebuild purpose, with his wife, Natalia, playing an integral role in supporting him daily. Kortlund later re-entered the medical field in spinal cord injury research with NASCIC, and now is a QuickChange Ambassador and co-leads NeuroBridge Solutions with his wife, Natalia, a venture focused on bringing both clinical insight and lived experience to individuals and organizations through consulting, advocacy, and education. Today, Kortlund continues to approach life with resilience, a strong support system, and the belief in taking things one day at a time. Kortlund's motto, "Never Quit," guides his work and the encouragement he offers to others adjusting to life after injury. Send us Fan MailWhat does it take to still be heli-skiing, competing in triathlons, and running beach stairs in your late eighties? In this episode, Dr. Kevin White travels to Malibu to sit down with Frank, an 88-year-old athlete, engineer, and adventurer, and Flavio, Frank's trainer of 35 years. Together, they pull back the curtain on what it actually takes to stay that functional, that active, and that sharp at an age when most people have long stopped trying. They cover Flavio's 90-minute three-component training structure, why flexibility and stability matter more than raw strength, and how Frank survived a helicopter crash and a mountain biking accident that broke his back and neck, and came back from both. Kevin also walks through the nutrition and supplement protocols he uses with his own patients, including creatine for cognitive support, magnesium L-threonate, managing insulin resistance, and why too much fruit in your smoothie may be doing more harm than good.Frank's philosophy is simple: exercise is a means to an end, not the goal itself. The goal is to keep doing the things that make life worth living."Family, friends, take care of yourself. And never quit."If you want a model for what aging well actually looks like in practice, this episode is it.Follow The Daily Apple and leave a review to help more people find the show.www.primehealthassociates.com Instagram: @KevinWhiteMD YouTube: @KevinWhiteMD Prime Health Associates

Welcome to this very special episode that's airing during the week of the 2026 Podcasthon — the world's largest podcast charity initiative, bringing together over 2,100 podcasters from over 60 countries. The two visionary co-founders, Jeremie Mani and Yves Delnatte's mission is to raise awareness for local nonprofits and charitable causes that are effectively changing people's lives. Today's episode highlights a non-profit, and rather exceptional person, who's doing just that as a result of experiencing his own profound life change, the kind that happens in seconds, the kind you never see coming, and the kind that demands everything you have to keep moving forward. In hockey, a line change is a substitution of players — usually an entire line — jumping over the boards so the game can keep going at full intensity. But what happens when life forces a line change you didn't choose? My guest today knows that answer intimately. Matt Brown was a 15-year-old sophomore at Norwood High School in Massachusetts, a student, an athlete, and hockey player with a huge passion for the sport. Then, during a high school hockey game in 2010, everything changed. With one hit, one moment and one collision with the boards, Matt sustained a catastrophic spinal cord injury, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down. In his 2019 memoir Line Change Matt Brown, along with co-author Todd Civin, chronicle Matt's life after that injury, detailing his journey through paralysis, rehabilitation, and his infectious "Never Quit" attitude while navigating college, motivational speaking, and running 13 assisted marathons. His memoir highlights the tremendous support from his amazing family, friends, and the hockey community worldwide, including his beloved Boston Bruins, and stands as a positive testament to resilience and holding onto Hope in the face of adversity. In 2020, the Matt Brown Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit was launched. Born from Matt's compassion and empathy to support individuals and families affected by illness or injury—especially those living with paralysis—through advocacy, resources, and community. We'll be talking about Line Change and The Matt Brown Foundation in this special Podcasthon episode. Things will start ramping up soon. Trump wants this war over, because it will be more crow served to Democrats. And a lesson for RINOs.With a win like this under his belt, he will only add to his persona. WINNING!I loved that he moved 2500 Marines to the Persian Gulf. Then when asked how long would the war last, he said essentially, “It doesn't matter. We will fight until we win”. Trump won't lie to the American people about the war because he doesn't want a protracted engagement that allows Democrats to gain traction. The amount of devastation that will be caused in Iran will depend on the ousted Mullahs.Pres Trump said the following:From the very beginning of this journey, I have been on a mission to rescue our nation from a failed and corrupt political establishment. I will NEVER QUIT, I will NEVER BEND, I will NEVER BREAK, and I will NEVER YIELD, not even in the face of death itself!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Pressure doesn't ask if you're ready. It hits, and most people freeze. Retired Navy SEAL officer and combat leader Jason Redman talks with Joe De Sena about Hell Week, Ranger School, combat failure, recovery, and the rule of getting off the X. They break down why thinking too long gets you stuck, why quitting in the moment is a mistake, and how discipline is built by moving first and fixing it later. The takeaway is direct: act under pressure, own the outcome, and build resilience through discomfort, not comfort. Things You Will Learn: How to act when pressure hits Why hesitation keeps you stuck How discipline is built through movement Tools & Frameworks Covered: Get Off the X: act before conditions improve Never Quit in the Moment: avoid bad decisions under stress Awareness–Preparation–Action: stay effective when plans fail If this episode hit, don't sit on it. Jason Redman is a former U.S. Navy SEAL whose life was transformed by combat injury and near-death experience, turning that hardship into a powerful message of resilience, leadership, and human potential. After being severely wounded in Iraq and undergoing dozens of surgeries, he authored bestselling books and built a career speaking and coaching on overcoming adversity, teamwork, and mindset.
