Dr. Christopher Smith is a Board-Certified practicing physician who completed his residency and fellowship at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Smith currently lives in Pennsylvania and is a partner with Quantum Imaging and Therapeutic Associates. He dedicates time and resources to raising awareness of homeless children and finding solutions to help them overcome their situation. “Around the age of four, there was a big turning point in my life. My father lost his job at the steel mill. After that my parents struggled financially for the rest of my teenage years. We really had difficulty maintaining housing and lived for months at a time without basic utilities like heat or electricity. “By the time I was 16, my family and I had moved at least a couple dozen times. That year my family got evicted one more time and we had nowhere to go. It was my senior year of high school. My parents and 6 of my siblings stayed in a small motel room. I slept in the truck the entire year, and this was in Utah. It was so cold in winter that sometimes my hair would actually freeze at night. “But I had decided that there was no shortcut in life. I had to work through it and through all these difficult circumstances. I was willing to take risks. I made mistakes. I failed. But that was okay. I kept trying. That's part of the experience, the process and the idea of not quitting when you fail. "A lot of years of my life were very difficult, but I always tried to maintain a positive outlook on my life. I still always try to see potential, the good in the world now. “The statistical odds of me going from sleeping in a truck as a teenager to completing my medical degree at Johns Hopkins Hospital are so astronomically high that I personally think there was some intervention in my life, somebody looking out for me with the purpose of helping me view my past in a different light and of being able to share that with other people, inspiring them to learn from my past. That was my ultimate reason for writing the book Homeless to Hopkins and a children's version because children in poverty are often the most invisible homeless people of all.”
Brenden Schaeffer discusses another frustrating finish to the night for the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium on Tuesday as the late heroics by the offense with homers from Arenado and Contreras were overshadowed by the shortcomings of the bullpen in a 10-9 loss to the Blue Jays.Miles Mikolas had a poor result with his outing, too. But hey, at least Nolan Gorman also came up with a big swing against a pitcher he seemingly loves to face.Might be good to see Gorman getting hot, too, because Brendan Donovan has an injury that we need to talk about.Plus, is it time to see Andre Granillo in St. Louis?Follow this podcast feed for daily Cardinals coverage all year!

How faith in God is preserved and passed down through generations
Send us a textIn this episode Tony channels how Spirit sees Perseverance. The ability to keep going despite all clear physical evidences to quit and give up. There is great power to letting people struggle and persist. It does more than build character. It also builds discipline to those that are watching. A parent that is patient when witnessing their kids tie their shoes for the first time is frustrating to some degree for those watching because they can do it in seconds. Letting the people we care about to go through the process of persisting again and again is vital. Spirit shows us several examples on taking shortcuts that is convenient for us yet disables others to do even the simplest tasks. For us as humans to be fully sustainable needs the element of hardship and perseverance. “You have to have a never quit, never say die attitude. Because even if you're working hard, even if you're coachable and teachable, you are going to have moments in business, many moments in business, where you want to quit. And you're going to have every good reason in the world to quit.”Sales is the lifeblood of any business, and success in it isn't about having a specific personality—it's about discipline, adaptability, and grit. The key to winning in sales is a mix of relentless work ethic, coachability, and an unshakable refusal to quit. If you can embrace rejection, learn from every interaction, and refine your approach, you'll master the game. And beyond making the sale, the real art is in customer retention—reminding clients why they chose you in the first place. People forget the value they receive unless you make it clear, and that's a fundamental business principle.Adam Allred shares his journey from door-to-door sales to multi-million dollar business exits, emphasizing that selling is about energy transfer and authenticity. His insights dismantle the myth that only extroverts thrive in sales—anyone can win if they master the right mindset. He also highlights how market adaptation is crucial, recounting his experiences adjusting sales techniques based on regional differences.Adam Allred is a serial entrepreneur with a background in door-to-door sales, having built and sold multiple businesses, including a garbage company and a pest control empire. With years of experience hiring and training thousands of sales reps, he now runs ventures across different industries, consistently scaling and exiting companies at a high level.Expert action steps:1. What's up everyone, great to be back after another hiatus... (I address this more in the show) I've decided that I am going to do things a little differently for now. I will now be dropping 2 shorter episodes PER week so that I can deliver some more content to you guys more often. I will keep this at 1 topic or 1 story per video. This also gives us a better chance of really growing this podcast into what I believe it can become. In this episode I detail an important reversion that is taking place right now with my childhood best friend, and WHY it is important for all of us to pray, suffer and fast for the conversion and reversion of souls. In the industry of self-improvement and personal and professional development, we are all familiar with the concept of not quitting. Staying committed. But in my experience, personally and in working with so many other aspiring people, we very often confuse the meaning of staying committed and not quitting. Here is a quick analogy: the Superbowl is coming up soon. Each team is committed to getting to the end zone and scoring. That is what they stay committed to. They don't quit striving for it. But to get there they run plays. Imagine if they ran a play and it didn't work. But somebody was yelling, “Hey, don't quit! Stay committed to the plan and run that same play again!” So they do, and it doesn't work again. But, don't quit! So they run it again. Hold on. The plan is not the play. The plan is getting to the endzone. If that play doesn't work, try a different play. So in your life, what is the end goal, result, or destination? The plan is to get there. Stay committed. Don't quit. But you may need to try a lot of methods to get there. Let's break it down a bit more. And this wraps up my series with world record mountain climber Jenn Drummond as my muse. You can find her on the Seek Your Next Summit podcast and her new book is, Break Proof: 7 Strategies To Build Resilience and Achieve Your Life Goals. To make a proof of concept for a feature film! The press and Democrat elites want Joe Biden to quit. But instead, Biden is digging in. Alex Marlow of Breitbart says this shouldn't be a surprise at all. Marlow digs into Biden's career and psychology, explaining why he is confident Biden will never agree to step aside, and why Biden may not be as finished as he looks. Plus, the polls say Donald Trump is ahead right now, but make no mistake, if Republicans don't master the voting process, November 5 will be a disappointing night.
