This is the beginning of a series in which we will explore the meaning behind the Lord’s supper. In this sermon we go back into Genesis and see how important themes are developed early in the story of Redemption.

In this session we look at Ephesians 4:22-24 and see how Paul makes the connection between our corrupting desires and our sinful behaviour. Conversly, we also see the connection between the newness of the Spirit in Christ and the new manner of life that follows. We then conclude by looking at how this plays out in various real life examples.

As we look at a sample of John’s preaching we see the implications of his call for repentance. It is a repentance that is for all people, it is a non negotiable need and it is a repentance that points to Christ as the judge and saviour.

In this lesson we consider how modern psychology affects our understanding of who we are as humans. It is essential that we maintain a Biblical worldview, especially in the are of soul care.

In this lesson we consider what the Bible says about the human heart. How bad off are we apart from God? Just as someone will not receive treatment for an illness until they are convinced they are truly ill so too the sinner will not willingly come unto Christ for healing until he understands the state of his sinful heart.

Who is John the Baptist? Why is his ministry important? In this sermon we consider these questions along with the central message that John proclaimed.

In this sermon we continue in our study in the gospel of Matthew. Matthew presents five prophecies that Jesus fulfills in the early years of his life and Matthew draws from themes and prophecies from the Old Testament to show us how Jesus is truly the promised King of Israel. In this sermon we consider the final three prophetic fulfillments: the flight to Egypt, the death of children in Bethlehem and the return of Jesus to Nazareth.

In this class on Biblical Counselling we walk through the parable of the two houses in Matthew 7 and from it think through the principle of Biblical Logic.

In this sermon we consider three different responses to Christ the King and consider how we too respond to the King of Kings.

In this lesson we consider what God says about us in His word. In order to properly diagnose our deepest need we must first see ourselves rightly. Only God can fully show who we are before Him as fallen image bearers.

In this sermon we consider the extraordinary way in which the Lord Jesus came into the world. Through various proofs, God confirmed the true identity of Jesus to Israel and to all the nations. Matthew describes the supernatural conception, the protection of the Father, the Prophetic fulfillment and also the unique names of Jesus; all of which call us to worship Christ the King of kings.

In our text for this sermon we see two primary reasons for the coming of Christ as a man. Not only does he confirm the truthfulness of God to the Jews, but He also opens a door of mercy to the nations!

Have you considered that God has given us the Scripture that we might have hope? Paul says it is a main reason for the Scripture! But this hope is not abstract, it is fixed upon God himself, His person and work revealed to us in Jesus Christ.

What do we do when we have differing convictions within the household of faith? Should the one with stronger convictions always the trump the one who has less? What is the main priority for the church in such disputes? What does it look like to walk in Christ-likeness in such situations? Paul address this difficult issue in Romans 14 and 15.

In this sermon we consider Paul’s exhortation that each one be fully convinced in his own mind as we wrestle through disputed matters. As much as this was a problem in the early church, we know that it is still something we must watch today. It is easier to lost sight of the weightier matter of loving one another and welcoming one another as the Lord has welcomed us, instead of quarrelling and demanding our way.

In this sermon, Kyle Young unpacks for us how love is the fulfilment of the law and various ways Paul uses the concept of law in the letter to the Romans.

In Romans 14 Paul further applies the call to love as the fulfillment of the law. He urges the church to extent mercy and patience to one another on matters of obedience to the Old Covenant. In this we also see Paul’s defence of this principle.

In this sermon we look at the final verses of Romans 13 where Paul calls the Christians to cast off deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light.

In this sermon we move into the famous chapter 13 of Romans. Paul call the Christians to be in subjection to ruling authorities, because these authorities are in place by God. What does this mean? In this sermon we consider what this cannot mean, in light of God's word and what it does mean.

As followers of Jesus we will encounter suffering and evil. The question is, how does God want us to respond to such attacks? And how are we to overcome the presence of evil in the world? Paul carefully shows us the way forward, and it is not through the use of greater evil, but through good and with the knowledge that vengeance belongs to God alone

Christians have always been faced with persecution and evil attacks. How are we supposed to respond to these things? Paul helps us think through these important issues as he continues his letter to the church at Rome.

In this sermon we look further into what genuine Christian love looks like. Paul calls Christians, in view of Godʼs mercy, to offer up our lives as living sacrifices. He also calls us to be transformed through the renewal of our minds. In light of this overarching command, we are to be renewed in our thinking about love and what it truly is.

God cares deeply for the church, since it is the body of Christ the Son. We too should think carefully about our own place in Christ's church. We should affirm the equal standing we share in Christ as well as the diverse parts which make up the body. Furthermore, Paul emphasizes the importance of each member exercising their gifts to the good of the body and to the glory of God.

As Paul considers the great truths of the Gospel and of God's inclusion of the Gentiles into the tree of God's gracious covenant, he then moves to direct application in the life of the church. In this sermon we see how the Christian response ought to be a life of worship.

In this sermon we look at several attitudes Gentile Christians are to have towards ethnic Jews in light of God's gracious act of grafting them into the Covenant of Grace in Christ Jesus. There is a lot of confusion today about this matter, and we want to take the view of Christ and the Apostles as revealed in the Holy Scriptures.

In this sermon we look at how Peter uses the phrase "The Day of The Lord" in his letters to the early church.

In this sermon we consider Paul's use of "The Day of The Lord" in light of how we see it used in Joel and among the other prophetic writings.

Like the other minor Prophets, Joel uses the phrase, "The Day of The Lord" and so we consider what this meant for the people of Joel day and also consider what it means in relation to the future of Israel. We briefly consider how the imagery is also picked up in Revelation as it pertains to all of mankind and their unwillingness to repent.

In this sermon we consider God's call to the Farmers and the Priests in light of God's judgments upon Judah.

In this sermon we continue in our study of the Book of Joel. In light of the judgement of God, in the form of the locust plague, God calls various groups of people to respond. First of all we consider the call given to the drunks!

In this sermon Dave Bosma brings a sermon to introduce the book of Joel. We see God's judgement upon Judah and a call to repent and look unto God!

In this sermon Elder Glenn Kaut opens up the Great Commission for us and helps us see the character of the Triune God and also the key elements of the command given.

In this sermon we consider the parable from the sermon on the mount known as the parable of the two houses. Jesus helps us understand the importance of being not only hearer of the word, but also doers of the word!

This sermon concludes our study in 1 Timothy. Paul gives some final instruction to the rich of this present age and also a final admonition to young Timothy.

As Paul concludes his letter he gives Timothy a weighty charge to guard this most holy faith. He reminds Timothy that this charge is in the presence of God Himself!

In this sermon we consider Paul's instruction to Timothy in chapter 6, after he warns him of the dangerous roots and fruits of the false teachers. Timothy is told to flee, to pursue, to fight and to grasp!

In this sermon we consider Paul's warning about a misguided love and desire for wealth and how it gives us insight into the dangerous nature of any idolatry of the heart.

This sermon was preached on Resurrection Sunday 2025 and we go to Romans 6 to consider the implications of the death and resurrection of Jesus for all who have been united to Him by faith.

In this Palm Sunday sermon, we consider Jesus before Pilate in John 18 and looks at some of the points that make up the good confession that Jesus made.

In this sermon we dive a bit more into what Paul means by godliness with contentment being great gain for the Christian.

Our sermon text is 1 Timothy 6:3-10. In this sermon we come to Paul's final words to young Timothy. He returns to the importance of understanding and addressing false teachers that have caused so much trouble in the church. While we always assume this is a problem out there, we must be willing to consider the fruit coming from our own lives and be willing to do the work of exposing the roots from which it grows.

In this sermon we consider Paul's instructions for slaves/bond-servants. Whether we realize it or not, we all relate to various people in authority each day and God is interested in how we conduct ourselves as His ambassadors. Because we carry the teaching of God, bear the name of God and are part of the family of God it is essential that we honour Christ in this area. The sermon text 1 Timothy 6:1-2

In this sermon we continue to look at Paul's instruction to Timothy in relating to Elders. We consider the principle that Elders walking in sin must be corrected and also that there must be caution that is exercised when electing Elders into the office.
