Overwhelmed by shame and embarrassment, Michelle felt completely lost.Everything changed when she joined the HIQA Alcohol Challenge in January. Since then, she hasn't touched a drop of alcohol. Through the program, Michelle uncovered the emotional triggers behind her drinking habits and learned how to sit with her feelings, rather than suppressing them with alcohol. In this conversation, Michelle also shares practical tools that helped her navigate cravings and how she managed moments of overwhelm during her early days of sobriety. The Gospel according to Luke is the longest and most thorough account of Jesus' life that we have. A key attribute of this gospel is the way Jesus is portrayed interacting with people of all kinds of backgrounds and walks of life, and showing them that he's come to seek and save the lost. Jesus truly is for everyone. Reflection Questions: How is your spiritual vision—are you clearly seeing God's work in your life, or is anything clouding your perspective? What habits, relationships, or priorities might be obstructing Jesus' light, and how can you remove or redeem them? In what areas of your life do you need to repent and realign with God's truth? How can you intentionally let your faith shine for others to see this week? --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/central-city-assembly/support

To be a follower Jesus means that our lives must consist of a mindset that is eternal. Our passion, focus, and agenda must consist of a view that is altogether eternal. We must refuse to become intertwined with the spirit of this age and do as Paul instructs in Colossians 3:2 by "setting our minds on things above..." Be prepared to be challenged and encouraged this week as you listen to a message entitled, "Living in the Light of Eternity."
This Sunday, we wrapped up our series in First John by looking at John's final warning that the church guards herself from idols. At first glance, this might not seem like a modern problem, but our hearts and our eyes are very easily enticed by the idols that permeate our culture. May we learn to be careful not to comfort ourselves with idols, get drawn into complacency, or allow ourselves to compromise. Instead, may our hearts be pure, and in love with Jesus.
This week we are concluding our sermon series, “Called: The Story of Moses.” Over these last five-weeks we have looked at the life of Moses from birth until death. Tune in this week as Pastor Chris Jones ends this series with the message, “Pass It On and Don't Forget It!” Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:6-7, 20-24; 6:4-5; 34:1-5, 9
o live in light of eternity we must deliberately live for eternity. We must be motivated by our future rewards, and we must become misfits. Are the things you're living for worth Christ dying for?
Are you certain where you are going when you die? What if the answerwasn't more information but more love.

The feminine principle of being in presence, intuition, and alignment isn't any less productive than the masculine principle of doing, forcing, hustle. It can even achieve the same or more results with less effort & more ease if you know how to navigate from your soul energetically & practically. Here are the key principles you need to know to get shit done while staying in your "feminine" mode. Books mentioned: Living In The Light by Shakti Gawain The Intuitive Way by Penney Pierce
Prayer is vital to our walk as Christians. Through prayer, we grow our relationship with the Lord and strengthen our faith. John encourages us in these verses to come to the throne with boldness; not because of our own merits, but because we can trust the sacrifice that Jesus made for us to give us the gift of intimacy with him. While prayer can seem intimidating at first, we are assured through his example that we can bring our requests to the Father, but we can also trust that whatever the outcome, he has our best interest at heart.

Are you lying you yourself about your sin? Do you have enough light to illuminate your calling?
In today's message, we reflect on John's words of encouragement to the church that we can have great confidence in knowing we are secure and victorious in Jesus! The water, blood, and spirit testify in a powerful way to who Jesus is, what he has uniquely done for us, and the life we now live in him. We have these sacraments of the water and the blood as an anchor and reminder of the reality of the spirit life we now live! Our lives are to be a “living” sacrament. The outward visible “us” revealing the inner grace of the Holy Spirit.
Pastor David shares a word on living in the light & doing what's necessary to grow fruit in your life. Enjoy!
This week we continued our discussion of 1 John in part 16 of our series. Kristen Panella shared from 1 John 5:1-5 on the part that we are called to play as we live in the light that John is calling us to. By using the example of Jesus' life, we looked at three categories of neighbors that Jesus loved in his time on earth. Looking at people around us who are different from us through the eyes of Jesus is how we can love like he loved and therefore carry out his commands. If we can do that, these verses tell us that we will live in victory over the world.
In this message, Pastor Charlie Finocchiaro provides practical steps to living in the light. He explains that walking in God's truth leads to spiritual growth and purification from sin. Through his personal testimony, he highlights the impact of transparency, the importance of having the support of prayer partners, and living in alignment with God's light for true fellowship and freedom.
As John concludes this portion of his letter on the love of God, we see the wonderful power of God's love to defeat fear. While fear can be a great source of torment in our lives, God's love is the ultimate source of power to defeat fear. Praise God that we can be set free from the bondage of fear, as we are immersed in receiving and sharing His great love.

Today as we continue exploring the Love of God, we see the Holy Spirit's unique and active role in helping us abide in God's love. The gift of the Holy Spirit's presence in our lives gives us confidence, speaks powerful truth, and pours the love of God into our hearts through all the circumstances of this life. May we all be anchored in the abiding presence of God as we rest in what he has given us of His Spirit.
In this conversation, Tara Beth Leach shares her personal journey of discovering a deeper relationship with Jesus as a teenager, moving beyond a "cultural Christianity" to truly affirming her faith. She emphasizes the importance of living in Christian community and bearing witness to the love and grace of God, rather than just fighting against culture. Tara Beth also discusses the challenges faced by the early church, as described in John's letters, and how they relate to divisions and strife in the church today. She highlights the need to cultivate the fruit of the Spirit through practices like abiding in Christ, following a rule of life, and discerning truth through a Jesus-centered lens. Ultimately, Tara Beth issues a call for the church to return to the radiant teachings of Jesus and repent of any posturing or baggage that has caused the church to lose its witness in the world. This is a powerful and timely message for the church today, as we seek to be a light in the darkness and embody the love and grace of Christ. Join us as we learn to live in the light. Rev. Dr. Dean Courtier preaching on 'Living in the Light of God's Grace' at Estuary Elim Online.
In John chapter 4 we return to the topic of God's Love and how we are to live this out. God's Kingdom is all about love. The King is the very essence of love, and we are meant to be living in that love. As we receive from Him, we respond back in love by loving one another well.
This Sunday we heard from our dear friend and worship leader Krystal Hawkins as she shared a strong word on the importance of knowing and discerning the spirit of truth. We hope you are strengthened and encouraged as you hear her testimony on the power of wielding the truth to break strongholds.
Today we hear from our friend Allison Allen as we continue through 1 John. We hear about who our real enemy is and how we lose the hold that habitual sin has on us.
Philippians 3:8-9 — How does being a Christian change one's life? In his sermon on Philippians 3:8–9 titled “Living in the Light of Christ,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones says that it changes everything about the Christian as it totally reorients and directs them to Christ. Before one sees Christ, they are lost in darkness and alienated from God and His love. They live according to the principle of sin and evil. But when the Holy Spirit gives the gift of salvation, the person is moved out of this kingdom of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of God. Christians now are to leave the world and its sinful desires behind and pursue Christ and His kingdom. How does one know that they are a Christian? They are to test themselves and see if they are in the faith and truly believers. All Christians ought to know that they are truly saved and live knowing that they are loved by God because Christ has made Himself known. God gave His word in the Old and New Testaments and in these Scriptures is found God's will for His people and the way that Christians are to live. But most importantly they find the gospel of grace that frees them from sin and reveals the God of all love and peace.
