The Deceitful CuranderaThis week, we explore three chilling listener submissions.First, Ashley shares her experience with a shadow figure that appeared in her college basement in Michigan, standing motionlessly before disappearing into a wall. Then Will tells us about multiple encounters at rental cabins in Helen, Georgia, including a terrifying face-off with a yellow-eyed entity and a mysterious force that trapped him in a closet. Finally, Hunter recounts his father Frank's harrowing journey with what began as an attempt to "heal" his troubled teenage behavior but turned into something much darker involving a suspicious bruja and ultimately requiring intervention from a pastor years later. Spring is here and we're two months in. Two months of crazy. Two months of furor. Two months of chaos. And two months of damage done to the fabric of the country we all love. And just two days after Independent Americans host Paul Rieckhoff went on CNN to sound the alarm bell and warn that the sloppiness would lead to much, much worse… worse happened. By now you've heard about Signalgate, the scandal that has rocked the Trump administration and includes the DNI, SECDEF and Director of the CIA as well as the Vice President and others exchanging sensitive details about a pending strike on Houthi forces in Yemen. It's a shocking lack of discipline and operational security and the country has taken notice. Big time. And in this pod, we've got a guest who is right in the middle of it all. A guest who came directly from a SCIF to do this interview and then immediately after the podcast went to hold hearings on the scandal. It's Massachusetts Democrat Congressman Seth Moulton—and he's taking you behind the scenes and deep inside of one of the biggest intelligence failures in American history. It's the kind of conversation you won't get anywhere else. And the kind of conversation you can't afford to miss. And it follows Rieckhoff digging into all of it, the veterans stories you probably missed, Opening Day for baseball, and a celebration of the life of George Foreman. Buckle up, America. Main Point. Some will be deceived and depart from the faith, but the faithful embrace God's goodness with thanksgiving. Driving Question. How must the church guard against deception? 1. Expect apostasy (v. 1) Application. Be prepared for some to deconvert and abandon the faith. 2. Expose deceitful teaching (vv. 2–3) Attributes of false teaching: Demonic (v. 1) Deceitful (v. 1) Distorted (v. 2–3) Applications: Be ready and remember: Satan attacks God's character and changes God's word. Always reject your own works as God rejects them. Self-denial cannot change your heart, nor your position before God. 3. Embrace God's goodness by the word and prayer (4–5) Responses. Repent from holding on to anything but Christ. Rest in the centrality of Christ's work. Remember the certainties and warnings of God's Scriptures. Recognize the difference between legalism and godliness. Receive Christ and all things with gratitude from God.
An episode from Bible Believers Baptist Church (BBBC), a conservative, independent body of King James Bible believers located in Corpus Christi, Texas. Bible Believers Baptist Church's statement of Faith:A Bible Baptist is one who believes in a supernatural Bible, which tells of a supernatural Christ, Who had a supernatural birth, Who spoke supernatural words, Who performed supernatural miracles, Who lived a supernatural life, Who died a supernatural death, Who rose in supernatural splendor, and Who will one day return in supernatural glory to establish a supernatural kingdom on earth. What BBBC believes about Creation: “We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted literally, and not allegorically or figuratively; that man was created directly in God's own image and after His own likeness; that man's creation was not a matter of evolution or evolutionary change of species or development through interminable periods of time from lower to higher forms; and that all animal and vegetable life was made directly and God's established law was that they should bring forth only “after their kind.”What BBBC believes about Salvation: “We believe in God's electing grace; that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by a cordial, penitent and an obedient faith; and nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth but his own inherent depravity and voluntary rejection of the gospel; which rejection involves him in an aggravated condemnation. We believe in salvation by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary plus nothing. Therefore, we do not believe that works are necessary for salvation, although once a person is saved, he should be careful to maintain good works.”What BBBC believes about Repentance and Faith: “We believe that Repentance and Faith are solemn obligations, and also inseparable graces, wrought in our souls by the quickening Spirit of God, thereby; being deeply convicted of our guilt, danger, helplessness, and of the way of salvation by Christ, we turn to God with unfeigned contrition, confession, and supplication for mercy; at the same time heartily receiving the Lord Jesus Christ and openly confessing Him as our only and all-sufficient Savior.” A message from BBBC to you: “If you are looking for a church in the Corpus Christi Texas area that preaches the Truth from God's Word, reach out to us at any time. Can we “flatter” God? Human flattery emerges out of unhealthy attitudes of mind to achieve a fleshly purpose! There are many meaningful lessons to be gleaned from today's Psalm 78. It surveys the whole history of God's nation and the good – and not so good – indeed the bad – in their relationship with their God. What is a relationship with God? That's a question we each need to answer. The Psalmist draws most of his lessons from their experiences in the wilderness under Moses. Overwhelming evidence had been given to the people – in the way of visual experiences of God in action. Jesus said, “Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required ….” [Luke 12 v.48]Up to verse 16 the Psalmist makes a summary of the physical evidence they had witnessed of their God in action; of the plagues in Egypt and their exemption from all but the first three; the dramatic Passover night, the drama afterwards and the parting of the waters so they crossed on dry land and then witnessed the drowning of the Egyptians. Then came the provision of water and now, says the Psalmist, “the bread of angels … in abundance” [v.25] and “winged birds … and they ate and were well filled” [v.27,29]At this point “the anger of God rose against them … they sought him; they repented and sought God earnestly” [v.31, 34] But what is their frame of mind as they express repentance and are seeking God? Were they motivated by a sense of love for God? Now to love someone in a genuine way one needs to be in a heartfelt and abiding relationship with them, so what was now the nature of their attitude toward God?Verses 36 & 37 tell us, “They flattered him with their mouths; they lied to him with their tongues. Their heart was not steadfast toward him; they were not faithful to his covenant.” So what did God do as a result? Humanly, we would have expected a rejection of them – or at least some form of punishment. But no! The next verse says, “Yet he, being compassionate, atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy them; he restrained his anger often …”This is the message in the New Testament – to those in the wilderness of this world. God's all-seeing spirit surrounds us – as it did them in the wilderness. Paul told the Ephesians to “put off your old self … (it) is corrupt through deceitful desires ..” [4 v.22] Deceitful desires among other things use flattery to achieve deceitful purposes. Paul next says, “and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God … in true righteousness and holiness.” What challenging thoughts this provokes in our minds. In what way can our “new self” be “in the likeness of God?” This requires the deepest meditation – and the most earnest prayer.

A mournful prayer wraps up the book. John the Baptist loses his head. PASSAGE OF THE DAY 163 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9
In this sermon we continue to look at Paul's instruction regarding the false teachers and the deceitful spirits that were plaguing the church at Ephesus, we see how the false teachers are used, and how Paul exposes and corrects some of the false teaching that was going on.
Stop believing your the reason they cheated. They cheated because it's exactly what a cheater will do. A cheater will cheat because of their own inner issues, which caused the mindsets they have and their lack and their many insecurities. It's the characteristics of unhealed people. They are master manipulators and therefore, will make you feel that you're the problem, because they don't understand that they (him or her), are the problem. Love yourself enough to not allow anyone who is unworthy of you, into your life. If you let someone cheat on you, you're a problem too, and you're creating the monster in your life. People who make these choices as the cheater or the one who allows the cheater in their lives, are individuals who have unresolved internal issues. When a person doesn't love self, it affects their lives, in many ways.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/relationships-and-relatable-life-chronicles--4126439/support.

The best approach is to walk right up and get in evil's face without hesitation. Our era of crimes did not happen without plenty of evidence. Many decades of budget fraud have crippled California. Examining the accounting books is key. The nature of the Mossad ops always involved pedophile rings. Israel has been our greatest enemy from the start. One of the biggest crooks in the world worked for them. Terrorizing children for the so called denigration of targets. From 911 on, Trump knew Israel was compromising our intel. The Wexner connections are everywhere. It would take pedophilia charges to stop the most entrenched enemies. Weiner's face says it all. Why wasn't this on Fox or CNN? Then it must be a conspiracy. The thirsty players that sell out for power. Sen. Adam Schiff is in the news again, and not for anything good. Why did he push war on Yemen? Mr. Tate, the woman brander, has people all stirred up. The laying out of the red carpet for the CCP. Whose covering the massive bill for the LA fires? Incredibly, eight million children go missing every year. Another look at Haitian corruption involving human trafficking. We will always have hope in fighting the world's evils and it has to begin with rescuing the children.

Welcome to the Unlovely Truth. I'm your host church safety advocate and coach Lori Morrison. I help ministry leaders assess and address the 12 critical safety issues that exist in every church. Our churches need to be the safest places in our communities, so my mission on this podcast is to give you actionable steps to make your house of worship a true sanctuary in your community. Let's investigate the unlovely truth about real crime stories happening in real churches. I've got three cases to explore today, so let's dive right in. Important points from this episode include: Dealing with a controlling pastor Dealing with a neglectful pastor Dealing with a deceitful pastor 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 NIV I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.” Paul wrote his first letter to the Corinthians to address problems he saw in the church, and one of the big ones was sexual immorality. If it happened back then, why do we think it can't happen now? Paul didn't ignore the problem, he acknowledged it so the church could fix things. And part of his recipe for fixing things was to not associate with those in the church who were being sexually immoral. So why do we today do the exact opposite? I suppose that some of it is in the name of tolerance. We like to think we are amazing people when we overlook evil and call it loving people. Paul says that when it comes to people who call themselves Christians, that is exactly the opposite of what we should be doing. It is so frustrating to watch churches get this wrong over and over and over. If this is a problem at your church, it's time to speak out. If you need my help, all you've got to do is ask. Let me know what you think of this episode! Send me an email a lori@theunlovelytruth.com or message me on social media. Keep yourself safe from flattery by establishing boundaries around your mind, soul and spirit. Have discernment so that you will know when someone is being sincere or not. We have to stand up for what we believe in no matter how hard it is or how hard it gets as stated in Ephesians 6:14-17.

”Deceitful Organization Tries Swaying Votes” “Vote, Then Watch Them Like A Hawk” “Lock Him Up? Did You Mean Hunter, Biden?” “Close Call, Reporter Takes Shrapnel From Politician”
“The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is?” (Jeremiah 17:9 NLT) Bruce Springsteen had a “Hungry Heart.” Billy Ray Cyrus had an “Achy Breaky Heart.” Toni Braxton sang “Un-Break My Heart,” and the Bee Gees sang “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” which is a good question if you have an “achy breaky heart.” Of course, Celine Dion reminds us that the heart will go on, even if it's hungry, achy breaky, or broken. You can probably think of dozens of other songs that have the word heart in their titles. The heart holds a special place in our culture—especially pop culture—because it represents our deepest emotions. Romantics believe that our emotions are the purest essence of who we are. Your body can be tempted. Your mind can be deceived. But your heart will never lead you astray. Or so says the plot of every romantic comedy to come out of Hollywood. So the only way to find true happiness and ultimate fulfillment in life is to (say it with me) follow your heart. But in Jeremiah 17:9, God says, “Not so fast.” There's nothing particularly noble or pure about the human heart. In fact, you'd have a hard time finding anything more deceitful or wicked. The heart is selfish. It wants what it wants, regardless of the consequences or the pain it causes others. It doesn't have to be that way. In Ezekiel 36:26, God tells the people of Israel, “I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart” (NLT). This spiritual heart transplant changes everything. You develop a tender, responsive heart by filling your mind with God's Word, meditating on it, obeying it, and letting it change you from the inside. When your heart becomes a conduit for God's wisdom and love, it can be trusted. And it can be useful. David wrote, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desires” (Psalm 37:4 NLT). Taking delight in the Lord means recognizing that His ways are best. The result is a desire to make sure His will is done. When you align your life with God's will, your heart changes. It becomes more like God's. And when your prayers sync with what God wants for you, God gives you the desires of your heart. Until God changes your heart, it will lead you astray if you try to follow it. It will deceive you into believing that it can guide you to genuine happiness and fulfillment. In reality, only God can deliver those things. — Listen to the Greg Laurie Podcast Become a Harvest PartnerSupport the show: https://harvest.org/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

You have been crucified with Christ so don't let your old self come back to life! This is Paul's message to the church at Ephesus and to us today! He knows the inner struggle of walking by the Spirit and walking according to the flesh. He knows we have been given a new life in Christ but he also knows there is an enemy trying to destroy us so he warns them, “Don't live like the Gentiles. Live Different.” He explains what he means by talking about the sins they were struggling with and he says, “Throw that old man off and allow the Holy Spirit to work in you!” We have a choice to make: We are either choosing to allow God work or in us or Satan. What choice are you making? If you say Jesus, would others agree? Can we see Jesus in you?

False teachers were rampant in the early church. These deceivers would come in and pretend to be full of the spirit, and they would welcome themselves into the body of believers, making friends and gaining people's trust. Then at the moment of opportunity, they would begin their deceitful teachings and cause chaos in the body. They would cause chaos and doubt which totally went against God's plans for unity and if the believer was still a spiritual baby, they would be tossed around like a wave, or an object that has been picked up by the wind and thrown around. It is crucial that we know God's word and that we meet together with other believers. We need each other so we can encourage one another as we are on this journey.
2 Corinthians 10 The problem of people being deceived by teaching is more relevant now than ever. A flood of information comes at us through social media, TV, and YouTube, and so much of it is biblically messed up. Many Christians fall for the persuasions, falling away from the true gospel. In 2 Corinthians 10, Paul defends the validity of his gospel preaching and calls out the false teaching going on in the Corinthian community. Given that this issue persists through every generation, Pastor Scott ends this message with practical tips for how to stay grounded in the truth of the gospel in the midst of deceitful teaching.
