We wrap up Psalm 119 in this episode. It has been a long, but good journey through this chapter. Here the Psalmist tells us about the requests he is bringing to God. Are they requests we should also be bringing to God? This is followed by praise, but not just a little praise, thanking God seven times, clearly being intentional in letting Him know how grateful we are. Are we doing that?

The journey in Psalm 119 continues through this episode. Here the Psalmist tells us that he is coming to God with his whole heart. Crying to God about what is occurring in his life. We see him go on to ask God to make him alive in Him. Are we in our lives honestly coming before God, letting Him know our struggles and asking that He make us alive?

Here we see the Psalmist tell us about the tough time he is going through, the people who are against him. This led to the trials Job faced. Then an understanding of why we experience pain and how in the end it is good for us and brings us closer to God. He doesn't do anything without a purpose and He provides comfort in the tough seasons. Are we leaning into Him?

The journey in Psalm 119 is a long one, but an informative one which we continue in this episode. Here the Psalmist talks about God being more important that thousands of gold or silver. When we find Him and lean into His presence, we get the opportunity to not only have our debt paid and our sins washed away, but we also get to spend eternity with Him. A truly wonderful promise to hold and look forward to in our lives.

The journey through Psalm 119 continues in this episode. Here the Psalmist tells us that we can walk at liberty. Why? Because of the hope and life that our Father gives us. Are we doing that in our daily lives and boldly proclaiming what God has done to those we meet?

Bringing light to the situations we face and taking us from the darkness of death into life and light. Are we turning to Him and building our lives with Him as our cornerstone today in the light of His presence?

This episode takes us through Psalm 118. It starts out in a theme of God's mercy enduring forever. This then flows into trust. When we are in distress, where is our trust? When we are surrounded by people who are against us or circumstances that feel like they are squeezing us, what are we turning to for help?

Here we walk through Psalm 117. It's a very short, sweet, and to-the-point Psalm. If we needed two verses and that was all we got to know about our Father and our life mission, this could arguably work. We are told we should praise Him for His care for us, of His great mercy, kindness, and truthfulness.

We walk through Psalm 116 in this episode. Here the Psalmist tells us that though he has found trouble and sorrow, he called to God. In that moment, God heard and delivered him, saving his feet from slipping. So, the Psalmist is going to praise God. Is this the pattern we follow in our lives?

This episode takes us to Psalm 115. The Psalmist reminds us that our trust should be in a shield. Are we trusting in our shield on a daily basis?

Here we walk through Psalm 114. The Psalmist reminds us of the things God has done in the past in others' lives as a reminder of the things He is capable of in our lives. He has turned rocks into pools of water. Are there rocks in your life you wish would become water?

The Psalmist walks us through the fact that Jesus humbled himself to come from the highest palace, greatest riches, most power out of any king ever here on earth and came to earth to be a carpenter, experience pain, hardship, and the same temptations that we do. He didn't have to do this, He chose to because He loves us and wants us to relate to Him.

We get to walk through Psalm 112 in this episode. It takes us to learn and reflect on how we should be praising our Father, some of His characteristics, and blessings on following Him. Continuing through Psalm 107 the Psalmist describes a storm, but in that, what happens? The people cry to God and He brings them out of their distresses. He makes the storm calm so that they are glad and can be still.

We continue in Psalm 107. He satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness. His care for us is truly so fantastic!

This episode takes us to the beginning of Psalm 107. The Psalmist tells us about a time and feeling of complete loneliness, hunger, and thirst that he will faint. But in those moments of distress, there are steps we can take and resolution to them.

There were a couple of items from this list I've seen in my own life so these verses were helpful for me to reflect on. Hopefully, you find them also beneficial.

We continue walking through Psalm 105. The Psalmist tells us here about the story of Joseph. How the pain he experienced was actually for a greater purpose and reason that saved thousands of lives. So too we may experience pain, but God has a bigger purpose.

We wrap up Psalm 104 in this episode. The Psalmist here tells us about how God provides for us and for the animals, but it is a partnership, where we also have to work to get those things that He has given us and we need. Then the Psalmist ends by blessing the Lord for His careful provision.

This episode takes us on a continued journey through Psalm 104. We hear about here the balance that our Father ensures throughout our world and in our lives. Are we trusting Him to take care of us and knowing the balance we need?

Though our daily lives bring us stress and we get caught in anxiety, we should be like the Psalmist and remember that He has purposefully and in a very detailed manner planned everything and is guiding our lives.

Helping us remember that He does not deal with us after our sin and reward us for the sins we have done. Instead He removes our sin from us like the east from the west and shows us mercy as far as the earth is from heaven. How amazing and unfathomable that is!

Here we walk into Psalm 103. The Psalmist tells us that we should not forget the benefits of our Father and we should bless Him. When we see that it is through Him that we are given life and everything we have in life, He is the one that forgives all our sins, heals us from all illnesses, saves us from destruction, crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercy, and gives us all good things, renewing our strength like a young eagle, this becomes the obvious choice of action. Are we blessing our Father today and not forgetting the benefits He gives us on a daily basis?

The journey through Psalm 102 continues in this episode. The Psalmist continues telling us about the hardships he is facing, but while talking to God and bringing his cares to Him, he is able to realize God's great power, character of love and endurance through all time and no matter what. The Psalmist continues that he feels weak, but we see that God has a plan for everything and through the weakness and pain is actually refining us like metal and making us stronger like when we go to the gym.

This episode takes us to Psalm 102. The Psalmist here has a very different tone than the one we saw in Psalm 101. Instead of looking at the items in life to be successful, the Psalmist here is very broken and asking God to hear his cry and answer rapidly. In these moments there are certain things to look out for and avoid and certain things we can do to get through the painful moments. Join me to learn what they are.

This episode takes us to the beginning of Psalm 101. Here the Psalmist tells us the action steps he is going to talk to help himself walk right with God. What are these steps and can we also set them up in our lives, allowing for success?

Was recently discussing with a friend that daily we are in a fight for our lives, for our faith, and against temptations and sin. It's not the most exciting if you look at it from that perspective. But something I've come to learn through walking through the last several episodes of Reflections is that instead of thinking of each day as a fight and fighting the weakness of the flesh, we can and should think of the greatness of our Father. The might acts, marvelous beauty and care, the love, and the opportunity to work in partnership with Him and spend eternity in His presence. As Psalm 100 tells us we should be going about our day making a joyful noise and praising Him, serving Him with gladness. Looking for the things to praise and thinking on our Father I've noticed makes it easy to get through the day and brings great rejoicing to my heart. Maybe this is something you can try.

We continue journeying through Psalm 99 in this episode and make it further than one verse. But here we are told that our Father is famous and known not just in some areas of the world or to certain people. Instead, He is known in Zion, the mountain and government of all nations. That is where He rules from and He makes His intentions clear to all. With this power though, He does not serve Himself or exploit the power, instead, He brings justice, fairness, and impartiality. What a way to use fame, spreading love and care, bringing justice.

Here we open Psalm 99. But we only get through verse one because it is so powerfully important to realize what is happening here. Our Father, the Creator of the universe, the One who reigns over everything has a perfect building plan for your life, for the world, and is making that happen. But the coolest part about that is that He invites us to be in partnership with Him. Helping Him build. Are we accepting that honor or are we trying to build our own office in His building?

This episode takes us on a journey through Psalm 98. Here we are told that we should be singing a new song to our Father. He has done marvelous things and through just His right hand and arm He has defeated death, saved us from our sins, and given us life and the opportunity to spend eternity with Him.

We get to start journeying through Psalm 97 in this episode. A theme that continues here is the power of our Father and that He is the one who rules over our earth and universe. In our lives are we recognizing that and joining with Him on the winning team, or are we trying to pursue our own path in life?
