In this episode of The Pelvic Floor Connection, I'm talking to you, if you are preparing for gynaecological surgery, or know someone who is. If you're waiting for a date, feeling anxious, or unsure what you should be doing in the lead-up to your operation, this is essential listening.I explore why pre-op preparation is so important and why it's often overlooked. I explain how to become your own best advocate within a strained medical system, when it comes to really healing well, managing pressure in the body, and supporting recovery through breath work and movement. This episode walks you through key questions to ask your consultant in advance of your surgery, how to prepare for the days and weeks after surgery, and why treating your recovery like a “fourth trimester” can make all the difference. You'll also learn the importance of understanding your breathing mechanics, how your pelvic floor works under load, and why cues like “exhale on the effort” can be incredibly protective — both in the operating theatre and beyond. If you're heading into surgery (or supporting someone who is), this episode will help you feel more informed, empowered, and connected to your body through the entire process.

Join Jennifer Stats on the Life and Listings podcast as she dives deep into one of the most crucial tools in real estate—your CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting started, this episode is packed with must-know tips on organizing your contacts, optimizing your database, and setting yourself up for long-term success—without the dreaded rework. If you've ever struggled to keep your leads, clients, and business data in check, this episode is for you! Listen in and take your real estate game to the next level!    “Most people have way too many custom fields and tags that they're utilizing in their system. So think about segmentation. Segmentation is something that we want to be able to put a chunk of people in. If a tag only is going to apply to one person, it's not a tag or custom field, it's a note. If it's something that you want to segment, so it's all of your buyers, all of your sellers, all of your SLI, all of I don't know some other group of people that you want to be able to segment everyone that's interested in a specific city that is a tag or a custom field.”   Key takeaways: Understanding CRMs and Their Importance – Explanation of what a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is and why it's essential in real estate. Notes vs. Tags for Organization – Clarification on the difference between notes and tags, how to properly use them for segmentation. Consistency in CRM Usage – The importance of fully committing to a CRM, ensuring all contact details are correctly recorded. Updating CRM Information Regularly – Steps to keep contact details up to date, including adding new addresses after transactions. CRM Playbook Announcement – Introduction of the monthly playbooks, with a focus on the CRM Playbook. In this week's podcast I speak with Bodywork Project student Lisa Fahay, a brand new bodyworker who tells us about her challenges and success stories. Learn how a skiing accident 30 years ago introduced Lisa to CranioSacral Therapy and how The Bodywork Project gave her the confidence to create a vision for her own practice for kids and teens. “I am speaking as Miss Independent. I can do all myself. There's just not a reason to. The Bodywork Project is such a great road map and one thing I realized when I first looked at the syllabus — you don't know what you don't know. In that kind of a situation I think it would be really easy to make mistakes that might be hard to recover from.” —Lisa Fahay This week on the Do It With Intention Podcast: Find out how, as massage or bodywork practitioners, we must give ourselves the same space and grace that we offer our clients. Learn how creative, big hearted people — even those just starting out — can also build successful businesses with the proper guidance. And how The Bodywork Project specializes in breaking down giant tasks into smaller, digestible morsels to help you move forward instead of experiencing analysis paralysis.   Resources from this episode: Lisa Fahay has long been drawn to Craniosacral Therapy (CST). After a life-changing experience, she enrolled in Massage Therapy school in order to pursue training in the CST modality. Rigorous learning at this stage of life has been humbling and gratifying and her Craniosacral Therapy practice will combine her vast history and love of working with children in many disciplines — from art therapy, children's yoga, and beyond. She discovered a particular love of working with tweens and teens, offering an experience of safe touch and access to a calm nervous system. A perennial creator, Lisa's mindfulness props and toys reduce stress and enhance a sense of peace. In this episode of Better Than Before Breast Cancer, we're talking about the emotional landscape of disappointment. We'll explore how unrealistic expectations, emotional attachment to outcomes, and projecting our own beliefs onto others can set us up for unnecessary suffering. Laura shares actionable strategies to reframe disappointment, embrace curiosity, and use setbacks as stepping stones to growth and self-awareness.   What You'll Learn in This Episode: Why disappointment stems from unmet expectations and how to identify them. How radical acceptance and mindfulness can help you navigate disappointment. The difference between focusing on outcomes versus embracing the process. Why cognitive distortions, such as catastrophizing and all-or-nothing thinking, amplify disappointment. Practical strategies to set realistic expectations, build resilience, and create lasting growth.   Key Resources and Studies Mentioned: The Psychology of Disappointment (Zeelenberg et al., 2000): Learn how disappointment arises when reality doesn't align with expectations, and how it differs from regret. Expectancy Theory of Motivation (Vroom, 1964): A theory that explains how we base our efforts on the belief that they will lead to desired outcomes, and what happens when expectations fail. Mindfulness and Emotional Regulation (Holzel et al., 2011): Discover how mindfulness can reduce emotional attachment to outcomes and ease the impact of disappointment. Resilience Research (Masten, 2001): Explore resilience as "ordinary magic" that anyone can develop to overcome setbacks.   Episode Highlights: [0:01] Introduction: Understanding the universal nature of disappointment. [7:15] Setting ourselves up for disappointment by attaching emotions to specific outcomes. [15:30] Radical acceptance: Seeing people and situations for what they are without judgment. [22:45] Cognitive distortions and their role in amplifying disappointment. [29:00] Mindfulness practices and curiosity as tools for growth and self-compassion.   Practical Takeaways: Reframe disappointment as a natural part of life and a catalyst for growth. Hello, welcome to The Craft Room Podcast. I'm so glad you're joining me as we look at ways we can set ourselves up for Success for a new crafting year. I have ten tips that you might find helpful. I was live in my card membership group a while back, chatting about this delicious week between Christmas and new year. The festive, yet chaotic energy of Christmas has passed, and it's my favourite time of the year. I'm in my pjs on the couch in front of the AC and Netflix, living off leftovers and cheese boards and I have no idea what day it is … living the dream! This is the week I use each year to set myself up for success for the following year, both in business and my personal craft projects. I talked about New Years crafting resolutions back in episode 32, so I'll link to that episode in case you missed it (or want a refresher), but I thought I'd talk about some of my favourite things to do in the last week of December that will set me up for success in the year to come. Our annual episode on the value and process of choosing intention words. In it, we share a tremendously valuable process we both now use every fall. We choose three words for the upcoming year.  Setting intentions is science-based. Simply setting an intention gives your brain something to filter your experiences through. It's like setting your GPS. Without a focus, our brains naturally go to the negative. We have shared three previous episodes on this same topic.  169. Setting Yourself Up for Success with Words 110.
