Be honest with the Lord about your needs, then trust his provision.
In Leviticus chapter 25 verse 21 God commanded His blessings upon the crop production of Israel, if they obeyed Him. He would enable them to have a seventh year of rest in which no crops were sown. In obedience, to His agricultural laws, they would have sufficient grain for the next three years. Every country, on earth, that has arable land, should be able to produce an abundance of crops so as to satisfy the food needs, of that nation. Only food that can not be grown easily, in their country, because of its specific climate specifications, should have to import any food. However, to do so, each nation must be willing to follow God's guidelines. Herein lies the agricultural problem, for most nations.
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19 Beloved, as we lift our voices in unison, I declare 2025 as the Year of Abundant Provision. It is written in Philippians 4:19, And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. In this spirit, we embrace the promise that God's provision will touch every facet of our lives. May your heart swell with hope and expectation as divine abundance flows into your home, relationships, careers, and community. Let us invite the miraculous into our lives with gratitude and trust. Consider the parable of the mustard seed found in Matthew 13:31-32 – though it begins small, it grows into a mighty tree where birds find refuge. Just as this tiny seed transforms through nurture and faithfulness into something grand and sheltering, so too shall God's blessings multiply beyond measure in your life. Trust that each act of faith you plant today will yield fruits of generosity tomorrow. Let patience flourish within you as God's timing unfolds His perfect plan. 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." May you hear these words ringing ever true: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup overflows (Psalm 23:5). Envision yourself seated at this abundant table set by the Lord Himself. Imagine a cascade of opportunities flowing forth like wine poured endlessly from heaven's storehouses. Lean on Him for wisdom to steward these blessings well so they uplift not just you but those surrounding you. In closing with words from Ephesians 3:20 - Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think – know that what awaits is greater than our imaginations can hold! As we scatter seeds of kindness and compassion throughout this year, let us make room for these divine wonders to manifest. Let go of doubt and hold onto faith, prompting each step forward with courage towards a future woven intricately by God's providential hand. John 10:10 says, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

In this powerful message, we explore the profound truth of God's provision as outlined in Philippians 4:19. We're reminded that God, the ultimate provider, has unlimited resources at His disposal. Unlike even the wealthiest individuals on earth, God's ability to meet our needs is boundless. The key to unlocking this provision lies in our faith and expectation. As we trust in God's promise, we open ourselves to receive His abundant blessings. This message challenges us to shift our perspective, seeing God as our ultimate source rather than relying on earthly means. It encourages us to approach our needs with confidence, knowing that God's riches in Christ Jesus are more than sufficient for every situation we face. Rev Calum M. Smith preaches on Philippians 4:19-23
The Bible talks about blessings for you, but not only spiritual ones. There is a biblical basis for God blessing his people with material blessings. While we won't have any need for physical possessions in eternity, the fact is that to live in this world money is a requirement. My hope is that we can go through several scriptures that demonstrate this biblical truth and bring you enlightenment. While there is a view of money that is unbiblical, that of greed, this should not cause us to discard all of the truths spoken of in the Bible about money.
So Much More: Creating Space for God (Lectio Divina and Scripture Meditation)
This guided Scripture meditation is for the first week of Lent. Get your FREE lent guide here. In this account from Matthew 14, Jesus demonstrated that in His hands, what seems insufficient becomes more than enough. This serves as a beautiful reminder to trust in God's abundant provision in our own lives. As you move through this guided meditation, you will be invited to let the Spirit lead you to what he has for you and to reflect on areas where God is inviting you to trust him more. Lent is the roughly 40-day period before Easter in the Christian calendar. Traditionally, Lent is a season set aside for repentance and renewal. I like to think of it as a spring cleaning for my soul - a time to reflect on how much I need Jesus in my life and imagine what life would be like without him. The origin of Lent can be traced back to the 4th Century, and the forty days are an echo of Jesus' forty days in the wilderness. There are several common practices Christians tend to adopt during Lent: fasting, prayer, generosity, and intentionally taking on a spiritual practice. The passage meditated on in this episode is: Matthew 14:13-21, NIV 13 (Jesus) withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns. 14 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick. 15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it's already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” 16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” 17 “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. 18 “Bring them here to me,” he said. 19 And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. 20 They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. 21 The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children. Scripture found in 1 Corinthians 1:1-9
In today's message, Pastor Harrison Conley breaks down three biblical principles of sowing and reaping. With practical insights from the Word of God, He explores how we can apply these principles of experiencing God's abundance to our lives, including our finances. Through the lens of an eternal standpoint, we discover that sowing money into the kingdom of God is never wasted. As believers, we are encouraged to shift from the world's perspective to God's view of finance and stewardship by managing His blessings for His glory rather than holding tightly to earthly possessions. God ultimately desires our hearts for obedience, not the wealth we obtain. His promise to us is that all our needs will be met, and we will have enough to bless others in return.
All other provisions in this like are secondary to the provision of the Body and Blood of Christ, which is our healing and salvation. We enjoy them, we are thankful when they are given but our very life does not depend on them like it does on the Holy Sacrifice, which will never fail, and never be taken away.
