2020 was horrible. We all know that. But it definitely made me take a step back and look at my life and who I am as a person. In this episode, I chat about what lessons I learned from 2020, because it was a formative year for everybody. CHECK OUT MY FRIENDS! In the spirit of Valentine's Day, this is a *slightly taboo/awkward* episode because I recorded it with my ex-boyfriend, Jesse. We chat about what we learned from being together, recap some of our favorite dates, and give a little bit of long-distance relationship advice. It's a fun one! Grab a glass of wine (or, honestly, a shot of Titos) and hang out with me so I'm not as uncomfortable. And remember to NOT text your ex tonight ;) FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: @thebrightsidespodcast @lizzdellinger
IT'S PART 2 OF MY DISNEY COLLEGE PROGRAM ROOMMATE SERIES! Today, my bestie Kendall and I talk about our experience as film majors and how that came to be the reason we became roommates in Florida. Both of us experienced some heartbreaks while on our internship, as well as struggled with things like confidence, homesickness, and realizing that post-Disney life isn't a life that we enjoy. So grab a Disney mug and put some coffee in it because this episode is a long one, but I hope it's one that you enjoy! *TRIGGER WARNING* This episode contains content about anxiety, depression, miscarriage, teen pregnancy, sex, and childbirth. If any of these topics are hard for you to listen to, go ahead and skip this one and I will catch you next week! This is an episode that is so special to me. Hannah is my childhood best friend (meaning like, we met in preschool type of childhood best friend) and she was trusting enough to come on the podcast and chat with me about her experience being a teen mom. She got pregnant when she was only a sophomore in high school, and she recaps things like how she was treated by classmates, how she told her parents, and what her birthing experience was like. This conversation is raw, real, and truthful and I am so humbled she chose to share with me. She is absolutely incredible and I am in awe of her every single day. I hope you enjoy!
By now, you should know that Lizz did a Disney College Program in 2019. While she was in Florida, she was a Photopass Photographer in Magic Kingdom. She met Hannah at Photopass training and they quickly became fast friends. In this episode, they recap some of their favorite magic moments that they made and explain some backstage secrets of how Photopass operates. This hour long episode is full of fun Disney magic and giggles from the two gals. Thanks for stopping by and join The Bright Sides next Tuesday at 7am MST! Abby was a political science major who was involved in all sorts of leadership groups and honors societies on campus. The two sisters chat about what their experiences were with Greek Life at the University of Montana, and how they felt identifying themselves as feminists in such a society. In addition, they give some quick pieces of advice for anyone in college who wants to see change on their campus. This is a fun episode, so grab your sister (biological or chosen) and hang out with them. The girls talk through their goals which include being more financially stable, growing their businesses in the fields of songwriting and wedding videography, and continuing healthy habits. But they also talk about a key step when goal setting: listing out steps it actually takes to achieve that goal and make it a reality. And, of course, we hear about some Disney news, a new music release, and a couple of "Songs of the Week"! Let us know what your Autumn Resolutions are on Instagram! @thebrightsidespodcast

Of course, you'll also hear the usual best-friend catchup about the last week, find out a few "digs" of the week, and hear some Disney news about just how successful "Mulan" was on Disney+ and a new music release (guess what? Rosie and Lizz graduated from college this last spring! Meaning they are now able to give EXPERT guidance on all things college related!!! Okay maybe not *expert* advice, but they have plenty of experiences from the last four years as active, involved college students to pull from. So they gathered their best reminders and tricks to talk about in today's episode! Rosie and Lizz round things off with some new music releases about quarantine and some exciting updates to one of the tropical areas of Disney World. Keep up with us in between episodes on Instagram! @thebrightsidespodcast
Rosie and Lizz are BACK BABY and they spend some time reflecting on how they feel not going back to school for the first time in 16 years. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZ!!! Today is Lizz's birthday, and to celebrate we're doing another birthday episode special. Rosie prepared 22 questions (because Lizz is feeling twenty two-ooooo!) all about Disney, film, friendship, and memories to celebrate the special day. It's a fun way to celebrate such a special day! Make sure to head on over to our instagram @thebrightsidespodcast to wish Lizz a happy happy birthday!
Today, Rosie and Lizz are finally back together on the podcast! Lizz had a big week with moving into a new apartment, so today Rosie and Lizz decided to keep it chill and found a fun list of unexpected questions to ask each other. Ranging all the way from what their dream jobs were as kids (hint: it's not what you would expect) to horoscopes to how they both feel about the idea of joining a church. The girls know you'll learn a lot about them through this episode, but what's MORE surprising is how much they learned about each other even though they've been friends for six years!! Of course there is a return to Disney News, New Music Releases, and Songs-of-the-Week to round this episode off. Have episode suggestions, questions about past episodes, or just want to get to know Rosie and Lizz better? Follow our Instagram! @thebrightsidespodcast
Lizz was away this week, so today's episode is a solo episode with Rosie! Her main project right now is her album called "the how and the why," so today she dove into a little more about the title, the organization of the album, and some of her thoughts behind the album in general. Rosie reflects on her reasoning of why the album came to be: the time we spend learning "how" to do things in our lives, and then the harder steps (or really more like entire lifetimes) of learning "why" we do what we do it and why it matters. Confusing, deep, passionate, and relatable topics all around in this episode! Rosie was excited to get the chance to talk about her emotions by the album as it's something that's so meaningful and pivotal for her. If you would like to chat with Rosie and Lizz and get to know them better, follow the Instagram! @thebrightsidespodcast
In today's episode, Rosie and Lizz dive into a very important topic in both of their lives: anxiety! Mental health topics like this have been more normalized in media over the last few years, and Rosie and Lizz want to continue that work by talking about their respective experiences with anxiety and how it has played a role in their lives. They both have different ways it shows up in their day to day, and different strategies for dealing with it. While no two people have the same experiences with anxiety, Rosie and Lizz hope this a helpful episode in reminding you that you're not alone in life, even with your heavier emotions. Rosie is back on the podcast this week, fresh off of a weekend of recording for her DEBUT ALBUM!!! Both Lizz and Rosie are no strangers to undertaking personal creative projects and seeing them through start to finish. But as creatives in both the media arts (Lizz) and music/audio (Rosie) worlds, sometimes staying motivated or even just STARTING a creative project can be daunting, let alone balancing it with work for paid/hired jobs. It's a tough balance that ALL creatives have to figure out for themselves, but Rosie and Lizz discuss what keeps them inspired to continue their own creative projects. And in the even tougher times, why the keep creating even when they think they AREN'T inspired. Have something you want us to talk about on the podcast? Let us know on Instagram! @thebrightsidespodcast
This week, Rosie got busy with an exciting project (that we will surely talk about next week) so Lizz took on her first solo episode! She invites her good friend Adri to join her and chat about all things sustainability and how eco-friendly they think their college campus is. Join these two in reminiscing on some of their favorite marching band memories and how a college freshman can make sure they're doing all they can for the environment. Welcome to THE STUPID LISTS EPISODE! For this week, Lizz and Rosie came up with multiple categories to rate their top three favorites in. Almost every rating has a hilarious story or reason to go with it that has the girls cracking up the whole time. With everything from Top Gas Station Snacks to Best Shades of Blue to Best Three Memes/TikToks/Vines, this episode covers aaaaaaall the stupid and silly you could want (and maybe a little more than you even want...) Of course, they make sure to keep you caught up on Disney News and New Music Releases as well. Follow us on Instagram @thebrightsidespodcast for even MORE fun content!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSIE! To celebrate Rosie's 22nd birthday last week, Lizz prepared twenty fun questions to interview her with. Everything from favorite colors and most memorable concert experiences to her most random Amazon purchase (spoiler alert: Rosie still fits into kids shoes.) Lizz and Rosie also reminisce about their friendship and some of their favorite memories together from high school band trips, past birthdays, and many many New Years Eves. Oh, and they saw snakes and a moose???
Fueled by Lizz's love of the Enneagram Test, Rosie and Lizz decided to do a deep dive of their personality types on this weeks episode. If that wasn't fun enough, one of their best friends, Taylor, joined them this week! OH, and Rosie, Lizz, and Taylor were recording in PERSON because Rosie was back visiting family in Missoula!!! WHAT AN EPISODE! Lizz leads Rosie and Taylor through their respective enneagram types (since all three of them have different types). They go through the basic description of their numbers, the basic desires and fears, and other famous people that have their type. All of the girls have a thoughtful discussion about how they relate to the characteristics of their types, how they think the rest of the groups relates to their types, and talk about the relationship between their types since they're all in the same "feeling center."
Rosie and Lizz have their normal catch-up (this week's includes a discussion about Lord of The Rings. . .?) before diving into this week's topic: loneliness. It's a term we've become pretty use to seeing in our social media feeds these last few months because of the Corona virus. The girls talk about how they've handled being alone through these last few months, as well as their relationship with learning how to be alone in non-quarantine life and strategies for dealing with the extra lonely moments. Rosie also introduces a new segment to the show called "What Do You Dig" that may or may not be funny, but it will probably stay in because it's at least a LITTLE bit funny.
In this episode, Rosie and Lizz celebrate the fact that they JUST GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE! Lizz got a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts and Rosie got a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance! Rosie talks about how her graduation over Zoom (because #Covid) was probably better than a real graduation, and Lizz shares how she got to say goodbye to her favorite professors and media arts program friends. The girls reminisce about their time in college, and think through what they wish they could tell their freshman selves as well as what classes, extracurriculars, and people surprised them the most throughout their four years of college. And Lizz cries a lot.
Today and Rosie and Lizz dive into the world of RELATIONSHIPS! Lizz talks about her first date at the mall in seventh grade (SO ROMANTIC) and Rosie tries to remember the details of her very first Valentine's Day date. The girls talk about what some of the most important values are that they look for in a significant other (Rosie likes a tall guy, among other more important characteristics). Also they have some great choices for their songs-of-the-week!
Rosie recaps her major week including leading her first online masterclass, holding a live-stream concert, and moving to Spokane (yes, ALL in the same week!) Lizz and Rosie have a conversation pertaining to all things SOCIAL MEDIA, from how they use it in their personal lives to their work lives, how it's affected their lives, and why it's important to them to spread positivity through their platforms.
Rosie and Lizz catch up about their busy weeks, and talk about how Covid has affected their lives and how they've stayed connected, happy, and hopeful given the circumstances. Lizz's Disney news update leads to a surprise conversation about Rhode Island, and Rosie can't stop talking about bears.
Rosie and Lizz spend their first episode sharing about their interests, careers, and personalities, and also why they're starting a podcast in the first place! They also introduce some topics that they are excited to talk about in future episodes, like the creative process, promoting positivity through social media, personal branding, and transitioning into "adulthood."
Welcome to your new favorite podcast with Rosie & Lizz, two best friends in their 20s getting ready to leave college and jump into "the real world." Join them every Tuesday to hear their conversations about creativity, positivity, friendship, and learning how to be boss babes as freelancers in their respective fields of music/sound and film/media arts.
