By exposing and exploring the interconnected identities often marginalized in the media, their work reinvents, transforms and inspires how global content creators tell stories. How far has the film industry come in representing women, people of color, the disabled, overweight people, LGBTQIA+, and adults over the age of 50? Representation “still falls short,” according to Madeline di Nonno of the Geena Davis Institute.
