The 10th Annual Tour de Brewtah is a bike-meets-brewery event in Salt Lake and Ogden. It’s scheduled for blast off May 4. May the Fourth be with you! We spoke with Brandon Smith, a distiller at Dented Brick Distillery in Salt Lake City, who's part of the organizing committee. In our telephone conversation, he shares details about the event that brings together cyclists and craft beer enthusiasts to tour our ever-expanding “brewiverse.” Twenty-six breweries are participating this year, as well as Mountain West Cider House & Bar and Dented Brick. Participants choose from one of 10 space-themed routes — such as Close Encounters of the Thirst Kind, IBUFO, and Mission to Bars. Each route includes stops at three places where you can refuel with a delicious craft beer. Not into cycling but still want to have a good time? The Tour de Brewtah includes a full-on beer festival at The Gateway where you can bring the family, relax, and enjoy pints from many of the breweries on the Tour.
