Nuacht Mhall. Príomhscéalta na seachtaine, léite go mall.*Inniu an tríochadú lá de mhí Bealtaine. Is mise Alanna Ní Ghallachóir.Tá tús curtha le triail iar-cheannaire an Pháirtí Aontachtaigh Dhaonlathaigh, Jeffrey Donaldson, agus a mhná céile, i ndiaidh do bheirt bhan líomhaintí a dhéanamh go ndearna sé mí-úsáid ghnéis orthu agus iad ina bpáistí. D'inis abhcóide an ionchúisimh, Rosie Walsh KC, don ghiúire de chúigear ban agus seachtar fear ag Cúirt Chórónach an Iúir, go ndúirt duine de na gearánaigh gur thosaigh an mhí-úsáid agus í fós sa bhunscoil, agus gur leanadh ar aghaidh leis ar feadh roinnt blianta. Dúirt an gearánach eile gur chreid sí gur tharla na teagmhais bainte léi féin thart fán aois chéanna. Agus é i mbun agallamh le póilíní tar éis á ghabhála i Mí an Mhárta 2024, dúirt Donaldson gur rud “dochreidte” a bhí sa chúiseamh éignithe ina aghaidh agus shéan sé na cúisimh a bhí curtha ina leith. Phléadáil iar-cheannaire an DUP neamhchiontach do 18 gcúiseamh agus shéan Bean Donaldson cúig chúiseamh. Deirtear gur tharla na teagmhais idir na blianta 1985 agus 2008Dé Céadaoin, sáraíodh an churiarracht teochta um mí na Bealtaine in Éirinn ag Aerfort na Sionainne, nuair a bhain an mearcair 30.6C amach. Lean sé seo curiarracht eile ní ba luaithe sa lá ag stáisiún aimsire Páirc na Darach, taobh amuigh de bhaile Cheatharlach, inar taifeadadh teocht 29.7C. Agus sa Phortaingéil, taifeadadh an lá is teo i mí na Bealtaine ag 40.3C sa bhaile lárnach Mora, agus tíortha in iarthar na hEorpa ag streachailt leo san aimsir mharfach leáiteach. Sna tríocha bliain a chuaigh thart, tá ardú teochta 0.56C tagtha ar an Eoraip achan deich mbliana, de réir na Seirbhíse Aeráide Copernicus - neart leis na teochtaí as cuimse a dhéanamh níos coitianta. Déardaoin, dúirt na Náisiúin Aontaithe go bhfuil seans maith ann go ndéanfaidh na meánteochtaí domhanda na hardteochtaí as cuimse níos géire. Tháinig clú agus cáil ar bhuabhall ailbíneach neamhchoitianta a bhfuil gruaig fhada fhionn air sa Bhangladéis, agus an fhéile Eid al-Adha ag bualadh linn, agus é ag tarraingt na sluaite cuairteoirí fiosracha a deir go bhfuil an-chosúlacht idir an t-ainmhí agus Uachtarán Stáit Aontaithe Mheiriceá, Donald Trump. Tógadh an buabhall, a bhfuil beagnach 700kg meáchain ann, ar fheirm i gceantar in aice leis an phríomhchathair, Dhaka, agus tugadh an leasainm Donald Trump air mar gheall ar an dos gruaige bán thar a bhaitheas. Bhí sléacht le déanamh ar an bhuabhall leis an fhéile a chomóradh ach, sna huaireanta sular cuireadh é chun báis, ghníomhaigh an rialtas leis an t-ainmhí a shabháil. Dúirt coiméadaí an Zú Náisiúnta um Bangladéis, Atiqur Rahman, go dtabharfaí cúram maith don ainmhí, agus bóthán áirithe tugtha don bhuabhall in éineacht le cúramóir, agus go mbeidh sé ar coraintín le haghaidh coicíse. *Léirithe ag Conradh na Gaeilge i Londain. The Giants can move past the Jaxson Dart controversy quickly if the locker room keeps frustrations internal, but the cost is proving this young team can handle pressure without letting every disagreement become a public problem.Follow on Spotify and leave a 5-star rating on Apple Podcasts if you enjoy no-BS Giants debate.Did the Giants actually move past the Jaxson Dart locker-room issue? The answer depends on whether the leaders who spoke up — Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Jameis Winston — turn that meeting into a reset instead of another storyline. The episode starts with the reported Giants meeting where Jaxson Dart addressed teammates after introducing President Trump. Drew and Rob talk through whether this was just an awkward headline that needed to be handled internally, or whether it was the first real leadership test for Dart and the John Harbaugh-era locker room. The conversation also covers Abdul Carter missing the meeting for Eid al-Adha and why that should not become cheap blame if Dart and Carter already handled things privately. Is this story actually over, or just quieter?Andrew Thomas restructuring his contract becomes the next major Giants topic. The guys explain why the added cap space matters, why Arvell Reese's rookie deal still affects the real number, and why this move is more likely about injury flexibility and cutdown-day roster moves than a splashy Odell Beckham Jr. return.Did the Giants just create useful breathing room, or are fans reading too much into a basic cap move? The OTA conversation focuses on D.J. Reader, Dru Phillips, and Patrick Ricard returning to the field, while also keeping expectations realistic because spring practices without pads only reveal so much. The defensive line depth concern gets real after the Roy Robertson-Harris injury, Shelby Harris' absence, and the basic truth that NFL injuries are going to keep coming.J.C. Davis becomes the offensive line debate of the episode. Bret Bielema praised his ability to play all four guard and tackle spots, while Drew pushes back and says the tape looks more like guard. John Harbaugh's comments also point to a swing guard/tackle role, raising the question of whether Davis is a future left guard, a real utility lineman, or another Giants guard/tackle project that could become risky behind Andrew Thomas. The episode closes with one of the better Giants stories of the offseason: Tom Coughlin, Eli Manning, John Harbaugh, Shaun O'Hara, and Gotham FC going full Mario Kart for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation. Coughlin as Mario, Eli as Luigi, Harbaugh as Yoshi, and Shaun O'Hara as Donkey Kong made for a fun visual, but the real story is the charity work for families facing childhood cancer.Merch: https://2giantgoofballs-shop.fourthwall.com/Support: https://buymeacoffee.com/2giantgoofballsAll episodes: https://2giantgoofballs.buzzsprout.com/Send us Fan MailSupport the show

On the eve of Eid ul-Adha, host Saadia Khan reflects on the San Diego mosque shooting that killed three men during prayer — and the Instagram comment calling Islam a "bloody demonic cult" that followed. In this raw narration episode, Saadia connects the dots between normalized anti-Muslim rhetoric, political silence, and the violence it enables. From her daughter being called "queen of Taliban" in sixth grade to being interrogated in an ER while in pain, she shares what it actually costs to be Muslim in America — and why, despite all of it, Muslims will still show up for Eid tomorrow. Eid is a Muslim celebration. Some Muslims in Texas wanted to celebrate the holiday by renting out a water park. Apparently, that's not ok with Texas.
America is turning 250… and Christian nationalists are determined to make sure the birthday party belongs to them. This week, Frank and Dan dive into the bizarre "Rededicate 250" event in Washington D.C., where Trump allies, religious activists, and culture war celebrities are pushing the idea that the United States was founded as a Christian nation (and therefore should become one again). Elsewhere: Rudy Giuliani claims he had a heavenly near-death experience, Hillsong founder Brian Houston accidentally posts porn to his followers, Christian nationalist culture warrior Ryan Walters files for divorce, and Texas officials shut down a Muslim community Eid celebration at a water park because apparently even modest swimwear is too threatening for Greg Abbott. WELCOME to the second installment of our series, CALLED TO WITNESS: How To Share The Good News with Your World. Talk 1 What Good News Are You Sharing? defined what is Good News (It is Jesus, not a retirement home in Heaven). The key message: God is making all things new. The ACOG recommends a multimodal approach to postoperative pain that includes nonsteroidal NSAIDs, acetaminophen, and opioids. Ketorolac is a favored NSAID for postop pain control. However, the optimal dose of ketorolac after cesarean delivery has not been determined. In this episode, we will summarize a brand new randomized, controlled, single-blind trial of pregnant women undergoing cesarean delivery under regional anesthesia at a large academic medical center between June 2022 and October 2023. Enrolled participants were randomized to receive an initial loading dose of 60 mg (intervention) or 30 mg (control) of intravenous ketorolac in the operating room at the end of surgery.1. This week, Mark catches up with Will Barton from Gundagai Meat Processors (GMP) to chat about what has changed since his last appearance on the podcast and where things are heading next for Gundagai.Gundagai has built a reputation for doing things differently, with a clear focus on eating quality and how that is measured and paid for. Will explains how a focus on eating quality, particularly intramuscular fat, has shaped their grid, and why balancing that with lean meat yield and animal health has been critical to maintaining consistency. Will also explains their feedback loop between processor and producer. With full EID integration now in place, the ability to link on farm decisions directly to carcass outcomes is no longer theoretical and is now happening at scale. Eid is approaching. Homes are being prepared. Clothes are being chosen. Plans are being made. But there is one preparation many hearts forget: The preparation of the heart. Eid is not just a day of celebration. It is a moment of truth. After a month of fasting, prayer, and returning to Allah… What will this day reveal about your heart? Will it be a day of gratitude… or a return to heedlessness? A day of remembrance… or a day where everything is undone? In this episode, we reflect on the true meaning of Eid - its purpose, its Sunnah, and how to honour it in a way that is beloved to Allah. Because Eid is not just the end of Ramadan… It is the first real test after it. In this solo episode, host Saadia Khan reflects on the guilt and tension that came up this Eid and what it means to hold joy and grief at the same time.
