Sarah and Anth Nicholson are lifelong Newcastle United supporters who recently found themselves on an unforgettable detour from St James' Park to Lambeau Field. As part of the Premier League and NFL documentary Discovering Football, they travelled to Green Bay to watch the Packers take on the Bears and experience American football up close for the very first time. We sat down with them to go beyond what made it into the documentary—how the trip came about, what surprised them most, and what they really thought of Green Bay, its fans, and the NFL atmosphere. It's a brilliant look behind the scenes of a standout episode and a chance to hear their story in full.
The Green Bay Packers lost one of their greatest leaders this week — Bob Harlan, the visionary President who transformed a franchise on life support into the model organization the NFL looks to for guidance. Ryan takes a moment to honor Harlan's legacy before asking a question that cuts to the heart of every Packer fan: are the current stewards of this franchise living up to what was built before them? Bob Harlan remembered — from hiring Ron Wolf and landing Brett Favre, to going door-to-door at 5:30 AM to save the Lambeau Field referendum, Ryan breaks down why Harlan may be the single most underrated figure in NFL history The weight of the Packer Way — Ryan reflects on what it truly means to be a first-class organization, and why losing that identity would feel like more than just losing football games Xavier McKinney restructure explained — a detailed cap breakdown of how the Packers converted base salary and roster bonuses into signing bonus to slash his 2025 cap hit, and what it means for next year's balance sheet DJ Moore trade reaction — Ryan walks through the Bears' second-round return (minus a fifth), the cap relief angle, and why Chicago came out ahead even as they quietly slide backward in the NFC North Subscribe, leave a review, and let Pac Nation know what Bob Harlan meant to you. John Plageman wondered how, as a newly recovering person, he would navigate social events he enjoyed. Concerts, ballgames, and just going out were cause for anxiety. He discovered, however, that at every event there were folks who, like himself, wanted to enjoy themselves without alcohol and other drugs. A while later, he helped establish a welcoming non-using presence at Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers, by creating a non-drinking initiative called Section Yellow. By day, John is a social worker with the Brown County, Wisconsin, Aging and Disability Resource Center. Find out more about Section Yellow and visit their Facebook page. On the Green 19 podcast, Tom Silverstein, Ryan Wood and Dominique Yates share insights into the Packers' 41-24 loss to the Ravens on Saturday night at Lambeau Field.
With a Henry hammering at Lambeau Field for the Packers' last home game of the season, Green Bay's playoff seeding is sealed. The banged up squad will enter the playoffs as the 7th seed. Relive the Ravens loss with us if you are brave enough.
This is it. The Baltimore Ravens chances of making the playoffs are close to flatlining but any long shot chance starts with a win at Lambeau Field against the Green Bay Packers. The Ravens are down Lamar Jackson but the Packers are also down their starter in Jordan Love. The Packers will be playing for seeding, while the Ravens have to win and pray for a Steelers loss the following day to have a continuing chance. #nfl #ravensflock #baltimoreravens #greenbaypackers Join us in YouTube Membership: https://www.youtube.com/c/410SportsTalk Follow us on social media: Instagram: @410sportstalk X (Twitter): @410_sportstalk Check out our merch: https://410-sports-talk.creator-spring.com/ Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
