This week, Paddy and Tricia follow the TARDIS crew as they land on a planet under the thumb of a trio of tyrannical overlords who are determined to keep their servants in the dark as to the true nature of their existence. Can The Doctor and Romana discover the dark secret behind this State of Decay?
Get ready to be depressed after this week's episodes of "Voyager"! First up: can a saurian scientist get his society to admit they may be wrong about their place in the Galaxy in "Distant Origin"? Can The Doctor make a holo-family work after B'Elanna de-Stepfords it in "Real Life"? No. No in either case. And it ends pretty poorly for a lot of folks involved. Also this week: saying titles, playing The Sims, and Bajorans! [timestamps: "Real Life": 00:44; "Distant Origin": 26:35; Bajoran talk: 58:33] [Tumbl away: https://sshbpodcast.tumblr.com/post/687786145663320064/praise-be-to-the-prophets-the-best-bajorans-in] NOTE: "Independence Day 2" spoilers after the closing theme
It has been said that all myth has a basis in fact. Sometimes, the truth fails to live up to the legend but what if the truth was far more terrifying than the myth? This week Paddy and Tricia watch as The Master once again seeks to use a power from beyond the boundaries of space and time to conquer the universe. Can The Doctor and Jo prevent him from destroying reality as he seeks to unleash The Time Monster?
A miraculous new process has been developed that can seemingly cure anyone of their criminal tendencies. But what happens to these negative impulses once they are removed? Where do they go? Or maybe more importantly, how are they removed in the first place? This week Paddy and Tricia watch as The Doctor and Jo try to answer all these questions, unaware that the fate of the world also hangs in the balance. Can The Doctor successfully match wits with The Mind of Evil?
This time we discuss the 5th Doctor story The Visitation! We go deep on the interpersonal dynamics on the TARDIS right now, marvel at a sparkly droid, and behold the joy that is the character of Richard Mace! Team TARDIS are finally getting Tegan back to Heathrow, but they're 315 years early. That's okay, right? The air is clean, the locals are...being controlled by a fugitive Tereleptil bent on exterminating the human race and taking over the planet using a modified version of the Black Plague. Just a regular day in jolly old England, yeah? Can The Doctor save the day without his sonic? Can Nyssa turn up the bass against a sparkly android? Can Tegan manage to get through an adventure without being possessed? And could Adric possibly whine and cry in the same story? It's all that and more during The Visitation!

Man has always strived to break new ground in the name of scientific discovery. But what would happen when too much ground is broken and a unimaginable fury was unleashed? This week Paddy and Tricia watch as The Doctor goes head to head with the egotistical director of a project to break through the Earth's mantle. Can The Doctor protect the Earth from being engulfed in a catastrophic Inferno?
John is back! And we're reviewing The Girl in the Fireplace! The Doctor, Rose, and (well…) that other guy, arrive on a spaceship in the 51st Century. No time agents about, but the power of the spaceship is being used to punch holes back to 18th Century France and the life of Madame de Pompadour. Rather snazzy looking clockwork droids are terrorizing Reinette until she's "ready." Can The Doctor, Rose, and the horse figure out when Reinette will be ready and possibly stop the droids from going all “off with her head”? They'll have to if they want to save The Girl in the Fireplace! Also, please don't ever place actual girls in actual fireplaces. That's not a safe place for them. This Public Service Announcement brought to you by your friends at Podcastica!

The Doctor, eager to impress his new friend, launches them not 100, not 10,000, but 5-ish billion years into the future! Because nothing impresses a shop girl more than seeing her home planet blasted to pieces by the expansion of the sun as it approaches its next phase of life. But not all is hunky dory as glorified skin pancake, Cassandra, is plotting some shenanigans of her own as a way to maybe sort of extort money out of the delegations present. Can The Doctor save the day, save Rose, and flip the script on Cassandra all while spending the whole season's CGI budget? Welcome to The End of the World!

It's Election Day 2020. Please go vote! Seriously, stop the podcast if you need to and go vote! All done? Good! This time, John & Taylor sit down to discuss the 5th Doctor story FRONTIOS!
