Rev. Doug Meyer is Assoc. Pastor of Caring Ministries at Trietsch, and today he shares the meaning behind Maundy Thursday. If Jesus offered to wash your feet today, would you let him?

Rev. Doug Meyer is the Assoc. Pastor of Caring Ministries at Trietsch and admits that he is just now figuring out fasting. In all of his years of ministry, he is still trying to learn how fasting can help him grow closer to God. Bottom line... it's okay to not have it figured out!

Mike Morgan, Senior Director of Caring Ministries, helps us envision the reactions of Jesus and his disciples to the events of Thursday, the day before Christ was crucified. Christ shows the disciples what deep grief is: the war between willing spirit and weak flesh. It is a universal struggle from which we can not only learn about Christ's suffering, but about what it means to be faithful and present for our own neighbors in need.

Senior Director of Caring Ministries, Mike Morgan, walks us through how resting brings us to an opportunity to remember and be grateful. Rest is frequently unrecognized as a gift from God, so much so that he commanded we rest in the ten commandments. Rest slows us down enough to remember our blessings, and to be grateful that God is everywhere, is good, and is our advocate.
