Kim and Karen share the story of the foundation, beginning in San Marcos, Texas in July 2018 with a selfish act taking the lives of David and four individuals and injuring many more. Kim and Karen explain the mission of the foundation as they work to prevent fire-related loss of life by supporting fire safety education, advocating for improved fire safety practices in residential and commercial construction, providing smoke & carbon monoxide detectors to high school seniors, as well as scholarships to assist with college.
