Great teachers know that it's not enough to teach the lesson, the students need to experience the lesson themselves. In John 13, Jesus the Good Shepherd has now become the Passover Lamb and has a lesson for his disciples. Why does Jesus choose to wash His disciples' feet? In this act of genuine love, how do we learn how to love others?

Dirty Feet to Happy Feet Join Pastor Jason Heron as he dives into John 13, where Jesus humbles Himself to wash His disciples' feet. In this episode, we explore the profound meaning behind this act of service and love. Jesus shows us that true greatness lies in humility, that leadership is expressed through servanthood, and that we, too, are called to “wash each other's feet” in our everyday lives. Discover how embracing this humility brings us from “dirty feet” to “happy feet”—walking in purpose, grace, and the joy of serving others.
Jesus' washing of His disciples' feet shows us a lesson in sanctification. “You are clean” has a relevance of great importance to those willing to experience the meaning of those words.
Jesus' historical impact is unmatched. Kings and rulers have pledged allegiance to Him. Schools, universities, and hospitals have been established in His name. Worshipped worldwide and known through the ages, Jesus is a figure whose deeds and teachings are widely recognized. Many of us can explain in great detail who Jesus is, but is that enough? Is it enough to be able to explain something? And if not, what should the goal be? Before the Passover celebration, Jesus knew that his hour had come to leave this world and return to his Father. He had loved his disciples during his ministry on earth, and now he loved them to the very end. It was time for supper, and the devil had already prompted Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had given him authority over everything and that he had come from God and would return to God. So he got up from the table, took off his robe, wrapped a towel around his waist, and poured water into a basin. Then he began to wash the disciples' feet, drying them with the towel he had around him. John 13:1–5 (NLT) Jesus showed his love to the END because there is no END to his love. MAKE AN IMPACT We are called to be spiritual CONTRIBUTORS, not spiritual CONSUMERS. SEE a need MEET a need. BOTTOM LINE: It's IMPOSSIBLE to love Jesus and not SERVE people. THE CHALLENGE: Meet a NEED this week.

When women gather, healing happens! Wild Roses Festival is a prime example of this. Each year I leave the festival with a new sense of the healing that I am meant to do. I shed a layer of my old self in order for a new, more aware self to be birth. This year I had the extra bonus of staying with two friends at the event, which allowed for rich conversations and debriefs every night and today I have one of those special ladies join me on the podcast. In today's episode Justine and I connect to share our take aways and how we are navigating moving back into the real world post festival. I hope this episode inspires you to grab a friend to escape away to an experience that challenges your comfort zone and allows for deep connection and healing to happen in your life. The power of women coming together to navigate the shadows of life and celebrate the joys is so powerful. We don't always connect the act of surrender to presence of love. But there is a story in John 13, that we call "The Washing of the Disciple's Feet" that is really the story of the love-burst of Christ. Do you realize that when Jesus is serving us, serving others, when he surrenders, it's just the over-flow of a love-burst?John 13 contains a story from the day before the cross. In a day Jesus will hang on a cross...big sacrifice...world changing event...split time into two ages...but in this moment, he reminds us that the full extent of his love extends to even the most menial acts of service. Sure his love goes as high and wide as the cross...but it also goes as low as my dirty feet. His love is so unbounded that it will even surrender.
When Jesus washed his disciples' feet, it was an uncomfortable reminder of what it looks like to follow him--humility, service, and loving those who may not love you back.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ profoundly changed the lives of those who followed Him and it can transform our lives as well. How can the resurrection be a reference point in our lives and not just one Sunday every year? We will explore the stories of some of the followers of Jesus whose stories were transformed on that Third Day, the day of resurrection.

Part 3 of our sermon series "Dirty Feet"
Pastor Aaron continued in our One Another sermon series this week by talking about humility. Jesus models true humility in John 13 by washing his disciple's feet. The feet of those who would betray Him, deny Him, and doubt Him. Jesus knew His power and authority, and yet He chose to go low. To be like Christ, we must also humble ourselves before one another. When we choose to walk in humility, even when someone is treating us ill, it carries the power to break strongholds and opposition. Whose feet are you washing? Encounter God's Transforming Presence.
