April is, as you know, National Poetry Month. Well, IWS Radio has been celebrating both on the air,on the WEBSITE and this week we're going big on the poetry. You'll hear from not just Matt-Man and Jayman, but several of our correspondents will be sharing their poetic creations too. Plus, we're encouraging everyone out there to call in with their favorite poem or an original poem of their own. Aaaaaaand don't forget that it's also Palm Sunday and time for Passover. We've got a few thoughts on that too. Plus, Matt and Jay have just got to get into the silliness that is Favstar. People get on Twitter and are desperate for validation in the form of stars and re-tweets for their lame one liners. It really wouldn't be that big of deal if these people were actually funny and didn't take it all so seriously. That and so much more PLUS YOUR CALLS!!!
Verified Twitter celebrity, and former host of MTV's Total Request Live "TRL" & "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!" Damien Fahey (@DamienFahey) stops by with his buddy and future animated FOX comedy "Allen Gregory" writer Guy Endore-Kaiser (@GuyEndoreKaiser). We find out from Damien what it was like taking over for Carson Daly, how he got a job on the radio at 15 years old, and who were the real crazy folks on "I'm a celebrity..." this was the 1st time in history that 2 guys named Guy were at Nuzzywood at the same time... and the other Guy (Endore-Kaiser), who is no stranger to twitter, really brought the funny. Other questions... How did Damien and Guy meet? What special "Celebrity" softball game did Nuzzy play in? What's it like sitting in on a television show's table read? And once we answer all those questions we begin end the show with another game of the Favstar game with disastrous results, but not until we get in to a heated debate and have fun, fun, fun, fun over Rebecca Black's viral song "Friday."
Writer, twitter king and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane's former slave, Artie Johann joins the mayhem on this episode of Decently Funny. After fixing a technical glitch, the boys turn to Artie aka @DearAnyone to find out how he got started and what it's like to work on Family Guy and his new animated FOX show "Allen Gregory". Nuzzy and The Guy argue over Family Guy's lyrics "effin cry vs. laugh and cry", then play their new hit contest "Favstar or No Favstar" and decide who had the funniest tweet that week. Later, topics digress to talks of everyone's "grooming" habits, Guy picking his quit smoking date and reality television.
Podcast duo Nuzzy and The Guy welcome comedy writing duo Kevin Biggins and Travis Bowe to their show. Biggins and Bowe are 2 writers from the hit FOX comedy, The Cleveland Show and over the course of the podcast we discover what celebrities they hang with and what it's like, as white guys to write for black cartoon characters. How'd they meet? Who does stand up? What is it like to work with Seth MacFarlane? Where do their ideas come from? What suggestion from Nuzzy will Biggins & Bowe bring up in their next writer's meeting? Finally, because Biggins and Bowe are big on twitter we all played the DecentlyFunny.com signature tweet contests, "Best Tweet" and "Favstar or no Favstar"... whose tweets made the cut and which tweets should never have been written at all? Tune in to find out on this super hilarious episode of Decently Funny.
