One reason we lose our peace is that we quietly give room to fear. It sits in our hearts, grows in our thoughts, and steals our rest. But how do we deal with these fears so that real peace can return? We'll explore a peace that cannot be achieved by effort, but can only be received as a gift. Jesus, the Prince of Peace, tells us that in this world we will have trouble—yet he also promises a peace that the world cannot give and fear cannot touch.Come and discover how this peace can be yours in the sermon “The Peace That Fear Cannot Touch”.This is the first of two sermons in our Christmas series, “Peace and A God Who Speaks”, brought by Pastor Guna.
In a world full of noise, confusion, and competing voices, we gather to remember one central truth: our God is not silent. He speaks—clearly, faithfully, and eternally—through His Word. This sermon invites us to behold again the miracle that Scripture is not merely ancient text but the living voice of the living God.Today we look to the beauty of the Word as light in our darkness, truth in our uncertainty, and life in our wandering. Through the ministry of the Spirit, God not only reveals His Word but opens our hearts to see Christ in it, treasure Him through it, and be transformed by it.Key Points: 1. The Illumination of the Word 2. The Inspiration of the WordMay our hearts be soft, our minds attentive, and our souls stirred as we encounter The God Who Speaks.
In “The God Who Speaks,” Nick unpacks the story of young Samuel's first encounter with God and shows how God still speaks today, not just to prophets or pastors, but to ordinary people like you. Learn how to recognize His voice, what it sounds like, and how to respond when He speaks.
This Sunday, we look at Deuteronomy 18 and God's promise that in a world that clamors for our attention, his people will never be left without his word.
A Word in Season
From ancient prophets and sacred texts to the beauty of music, art, and nature, the voice of Spirit has never been silent. Spirit is constantly speaking, then and now. We will explore how we can attune our hearts to hear.

As we look to a new series on the attributes of God, we start with a questions: how do we know what God is like in the first place? Much of our lives is based on what we think about God, but how do we know? In Psalm 19, David celebrates the God who speaks—in the natural world, and in the scriptures, and in our own hearts.Application Questions: 1. How have you experienced the "silent" word of God in the natural world? What has it communicated to you?2. Why is the "silent" word of nature not enough? Why do we need a spoken word?3. What about scripture stands out to you from Psalm 19:7-11? Can you relate to how David talks about scripture here?4. Have you experienced the "searching" word of God? How can that lead you to the gospel more this week?

Christine Caine is a best-selling author, international speaker, justice advocate, and the founder of A21, one of the world's leading organizations combatting human trafficking. She's also the founder of Propel Women, a movement dedicated to empowering and equipping women to live out their purpose. But beyond the platforms and influence, Christine is someone who has walked through deep valleys - and emerged with a flourishing faith. In this episode, Christine shares her powerful story of identity, calling, and redemption. We talk about what it was like to discover - later in life - that she had been adopted, and how that moment created what psychologists call a narrative fracture, forcing her to reexamine the story she'd always believed about herself. But as she shares so honestly, that fracture became the very place where God's voice broke through: “Before I was born, the Lord called me; from my mother's womb he has spoken my name” (Isaiah 49:1).We explore the themes of suffering and calling, asking how God works through brokenness and how the darkest moments of our story often become the starting point of our purpose. Christine opens up about founding A21 and what she's learned from walking with people who had every reason to stop believing in God - and didn't.Podcast Links:Pursuing Faith
The God Who Speaks (Psa. 19), Andrew Evans
Psalm 50 begins with the LORD summoning His people before Him for a trial. He does not keep silence, but calls out so that His people will listen to Him. He acknowledges that they have made sacrifices continually, but they have done so without faith, as if God needed something from them. Instead, God calls His people to offer their sacrifices with thanksgiving, to keep their vows to Him with faith, and to pray to Him in their time of need. To those who ignore His Word entirely, God speaks with rebuke for their repentance before the day of judgment comes. To the one who hears His call in faith, the LORD promises to show His salvation. Rev. Luke Zimmerman, pastor at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, joins host Rev. Timothy Appel to study Psalm 50. To learn more about Calvary Lutheran, visit calvarymechanicsburg.org. Join Sharper Iron this summer to study selected Psalms. In the Psalter, God speaks His Word to us and teaches us how to speak back to Him in prayer. Even in the great variety of the Psalms, each one points us to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Sharper Iron, hosted by Rev. Timothy Appel, looks at the text of Holy Scripture both in its broad context and its narrow detail, all for the sake of proclaiming Christ crucified and risen for sinners. Two pastors engage with God's Word to sharpen not only their own faith and knowledge, but the faith and knowledge of all who listen. Submit comments or questions to: listener@kfuo.org

Psalm 19 reminds us that God reveals Himself in two powerful ways: through the world around us and through His Word. Nature is the universal book that shows off God's existence—His creativity, power, and presence. But it's the Bible that makes God personal—it gives Him a name, shows us His character, and reveals how we're meant to live. From the skies that shout His glory to the scriptures that guide our hearts, this Psalm invites us to stop, look up, and lean in. God is speaking—are we listening? (Talk by Don Baker)

Chris shares a powerful message on hearing God's voice, outlining stopping, listening, and beholding as three key ways to connect with God. He emphasizes the importance of stillness, actively listening to God's inner voice, like Ananias from Acts 9:1 - 19, and engaging with the Bible not just as a text, but as a meeting place for encounter.

Pastor H.B. Charles Jr. preaches a sermon at For the Valley Bible Conference, Session 3 from Psalm 19 on the God who speaks.
God speaks to us through the divinely inspired Scriptures. As such, Scripture is perfectly inerrant, supremely authoritative, and powerfully transformative. If we want to cultivate a right vision of God, we need to be a people of the Word.

Lies cause incredible destruction. Even the earliest people on earth struggled with deception. Yet we have a God who loves us enough to never lie to us. Jesus calls us to walk in truth-telling to keep in step with him. From Matthew 5.

Wherever the Word of God is spoken, you will find those who bring an alternate message. Pastor Colin talks about why this message can often seem so attractive.
You can't see God, or hear God, or touch God. So, how could you ever come to know him? Pastor Colin talks about the difference between speculation and revelation.
