We are honored to have Pastor Andy Lynn as he concludes our series called “The God Who Speaks.” We pray this message blesses and challenges you in a powerful way!
How do you feel about the Bible? Not what do you think about it, or what do you believe about it, but what is your relationship to the Bible? The Bible is the primary way God makes himself known. In its pages, God reveals his heart, tells the story of how he works in history, and announces the good news of Jesus. If that's true, our relationship with it matters more than than we think! This summer, we'll unpack Psalm 119 -- 176 verses of delight in the gift of God's word. Our hope is to see what the Psalmist sees in God's Word, join him in his joy, and give ourselves to running in God's ways!
Pastor Drew Steele starts our summer series looking at the Ten Commandments, by considering the The God who Speaks. He helps us see the nature of the God who speaks, and the message of the God who speaks, and shows how God Law, is a law of love, that gives us life. We've all made decisions we wish we could take back. But why is it so hard to recognize those moments before they become regrets? In this message, we explore a powerful encounter in David's life that reveals an often-overlooked way God speaks. What if some of God's most important words aren't about what's ahead—but about what to stop before it's too late?
Today we continued our sermon series entitled: "The God Who Speaks." "Sometimes the Prophetic Word God speaks is ordinary. Keep listening for the word of God. Don't expect it to be anything - just let God share whatever He wants to share."
05/24/2026 - Chris Randall - The God Who Speaks from the Fire (Deuteronomy 4:1-24) by Faith Community Church of South Boston, VA
There is perhaps no more foundational question in all of theology than this: Has God spoken? If God has not spoken, mankind is left to wander in the darkness of speculation, philosophy, tradition, and human opinion. Truth becomes subjective. Morality becomes unstable. Hope becomes uncertain. Yet the words of Hebrews 1:1-2 thunder with clarity and confidence: “God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son.” Christianity does not begin with man searching for God; it begins with God revealing Himself to man.
Today we continued our sermon series entitled: "The God Who Speaks." "Remember this - God will tell you how to say what He has given you to say."
We don't have to GUESS what God is saying, we know, because He speaks. The question is, are we listening and will we respond?
Today we started a new sermon series entitled: "The God Who Speaks." This Mother's Day, we talked about how we must listen for the voice of God because He is STILL speaking.
The God Who Speaks Preacher: Paul Shoemark Date: 3⧸05⧸2026 Series: Choose Life Reading: Deut 5:1-22, Hebrews 1:1-3 What actually shapes your life? In Deuteronomy 5, Paul explores the Ten Commandments, not as a checklist to earn God's favour, but as words of grace spoken to people already loved and rescued. Could it be that hearing and obeying God's word is where real freedom is found?

As we begin our new sermon series through the book of Hebrews, pastor Matt reminds us of a life-changing truth: The living God has spoken fully and finally by his Son. All that we need to know about the one true God, his plan of salvation, and his purpose for creation is found supremely in Jesus Christ, for he himself is the Word of God.

Carlos Lollett shares how God wants to be known and is still speaking to us today.
In a world full of noise, confusion, and competing voices, we gather to remember one central truth: our God is not silent. He speaks—clearly, faithfully, and eternally—through His Word. This sermon invites us to behold again the miracle that Scripture is not merely ancient text but the living voice of the living God.Today we look to the beauty of the Word as light in our darkness, truth in our uncertainty, and life in our wandering. Through the ministry of the Spirit, God not only reveals His Word but opens our hearts to see Christ in it, treasure Him through it, and be transformed by it.Key Points: 1. The Illumination of the Word 2. The Inspiration of the WordMay our hearts be soft, our minds attentive, and our souls stirred as we encounter The God Who Speaks.
In “The God Who Speaks,” Nick unpacks the story of young Samuel's first encounter with God and shows how God still speaks today, not just to prophets or pastors, but to ordinary people like you. Learn how to recognize His voice, what it sounds like, and how to respond when He speaks.
This Sunday, we look at Deuteronomy 18 and God's promise that in a world that clamors for our attention, his people will never be left without his word.
From ancient prophets and sacred texts to the beauty of music, art, and nature, the voice of Spirit has never been silent. Spirit is constantly speaking, then and now. We will explore how we can attune our hearts to hear.
As we look to a new series on the attributes of God, we start with a questions: how do we know what God is like in the first place? Much of our lives is based on what we think about God, but how do we know? In Psalm 19, David celebrates the God who speaks—in the natural world, and in the scriptures, and in our own hearts.Application Questions: 1. How have you experienced the "silent" word of God in the natural world? What has it communicated to you?2. Why is the "silent" word of nature not enough? Why do we need a spoken word?3. What about scripture stands out to you from Psalm 19:7-11? Can you relate to how David talks about scripture here?4. Have you experienced the "searching" word of God? How can that lead you to the gospel more this week?

Christine Caine is a best-selling author, international speaker, justice advocate, and the founder of A21, one of the world's leading organizations combatting human trafficking. She's also the founder of Propel Women, a movement dedicated to empowering and equipping women to live out their purpose. But beyond the platforms and influence, Christine is someone who has walked through deep valleys - and emerged with a flourishing faith. In this episode, Christine shares her powerful story of identity, calling, and redemption. We talk about what it was like to discover - later in life - that she had been adopted, and how that moment created what psychologists call a narrative fracture, forcing her to reexamine the story she'd always believed about herself. But as she shares so honestly, that fracture became the very place where God's voice broke through: “Before I was born, the Lord called me; from my mother's womb he has spoken my name” (Isaiah 49:1).We explore the themes of suffering and calling, asking how God works through brokenness and how the darkest moments of our story often become the starting point of our purpose. Christine opens up about founding A21 and what she's learned from walking with people who had every reason to stop believing in God - and didn't.Podcast Links:Pursuing Faith
The God Who Speaks (Psa. 19), Andrew Evans
Psalm 50 begins with the LORD summoning His people before Him for a trial. He does not keep silence, but calls out so that His people will listen to Him. He acknowledges that they have made sacrifices continually, but they have done so without faith, as if God needed something from them. Instead, God calls His people to offer their sacrifices with thanksgiving, to keep their vows to Him with faith, and to pray to Him in their time of need. To those who ignore His Word entirely, God speaks with rebuke for their repentance before the day of judgment comes. To the one who hears His call in faith, the LORD promises to show His salvation. Rev. Luke Zimmerman, pastor at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, joins host Rev. Timothy Appel to study Psalm 50. To learn more about Calvary Lutheran, visit calvarymechanicsburg.org. Join Sharper Iron this summer to study selected Psalms. In the Psalter, God speaks His Word to us and teaches us how to speak back to Him in prayer. Even in the great variety of the Psalms, each one points us to our Savior, Jesus Christ. Sharper Iron, hosted by Rev. Timothy Appel, looks at the text of Holy Scripture both in its broad context and its narrow detail, all for the sake of proclaiming Christ crucified and risen for sinners. Two pastors engage with God's Word to sharpen not only their own faith and knowledge, but the faith and knowledge of all who listen. Submit comments or questions to: listener@kfuo.org
