In this enlightening episode of "Father and Joe," hosts Father Boniface Hicks and Joe Rockey delve into the profound world of papal encyclicals and their significance in modern society. The conversation explores the importance of taking the teachings of God and applying them to contemporary issues through the lens of encyclicals, all while understanding their hierarchy in relation to divine revelation found in the Bible.Father Boniface elaborates on how encyclicals are structured to build upon one another, providing a rich tapestry of Catholic doctrine that demands thoughtful engagement. The episode touches on various well-known encyclicals, including Pope Francis' "Laudato Si," and discusses the layered complexities and common misconceptions surrounding these papal documents. The hosts address the broader purpose of encyclicals, which is to teach and integrate theological insights into everyday life while steering clear of simplistic interpretations that can dilute their deeper meanings. The episode transitions into an engaging discussion about Pope Leo XIV, a figure distinguished by his unique blend of North American, Roman, and South American experiences. Father Boniface highlights how Pope Leo brings a global perspective to the papacy, traversing cultural and ecclesiastical divides. His diverse background in administration, pastoral ministry, and missionary work positions him as a "bridge builder" in a world often fragmented by tribalism.Listeners gain insight into the authoritative role of the Pope as the Vicar of Christ, tasked with teaching, governing, and sanctifying the Church. Father Boniface shares personal reflections and stories that illustrate the Pope's profound influence as a spiritual leader and teacher, continually shaping the Church's mission to nourish the faithful through authentic doctrine and the sacraments.Tune in to this episode for a rich, nuanced exploration of the papal role in guiding the Church, the layers within Church teachings, and how the humility and humanity of its leaders continue to inspire believers worldwide. The dialogue wraps up with an invitation for listeners to engage further by sharing their questions and feedback via email.Tags:Father Boniface, Joe Rockey, Catholic Church, Encyclicals, Papal Role, Spiritual Direction, Pope Leo XIV, Encyclical Hierarchy, Catholic Doctrine, Divine Revelation, Laudato Si, Rerum Novarum, Church Teachings, Pope Francis, Papal Authority, Vicar of Christ, Bridge Builder, Global Perspective, Catholic Podcast, Spiritual Insight, Theology, Faith Exploration, Spiritual Growth, Relationship with God, Missionary Work, Pastoral Ministry, Religious Orders, Augustinians, Church History, Canon Law, Universal Church, Pope as Teacher, Papal Influence, Moral Doctrine, Deepening Faith, Sacred Tradition, Biblical TeachingsHashtags:#FatherAndJoe, #CatholicPodcast, #Encyclicals, #ChurchTeachings, #PopeLeoXIV, #SpiritualDirection, #VicarOfChrist, #CatholicDoctrine, #DivineRevelation, #PapalAuthority, #LaudatoSi, #FaithJourney, #GlobalChurch, #TheologyTalk, #FaithAndLife, #ChristianPodcast, #PopeFrancis, #FaithExploration, #SpiritualGrowth, #PapalInsights, #CatholicFaith, #SpiritualWisdom, #DoctrineAndFaith, #BridgeBuilder, #Augustinians, #UniversalChurch, #MissionaryLife, #FaithInAction, #FaithAndCommunity, #SacredTradition, #FaithfulWitness, #BiblicalLearning, #MoralAuthority, #ChristianUnity, #PapalTeachings, #FaithDevelopment, #CommunityOfBelievers, #DeepeningFaith

This talk explores the concept of prophecy and prophethood from a multi-faith perspective. Prophets existed before the Bible, as seen in ancient texts describing the Mesopotamian nabū, muhhum, and assinnu. Biblical prophets came in many forms—true and false, charismatic and solitary, loyal to kings or opposing them. The debate over prophecy persisted for millennia: Jews saw it as ending with the Hebrew Bible, Christians viewed Jesus as its fulfillment, and Muslims recognized Muhammad as the final prophet. Yet, prophecy endures in groups like the Mormons and Baha'is. The speaker will examine how different traditions understand prophecy, its historical evolution, and its continued relevance today. Speaker Reuven Firestone, Regenstein Professor in Medieval Judaism and Islam, Hebrew Union College

Questions? Comments? Text Us!What if God had another side?In this special revisit of Episode 26, Zoroaster Sees God's Other Side, we explore one of the most profound moments in God: An Autobiography- a divine encounter that reshaped both Zoroaster's understanding of the cosmos and God's own self-awareness.Zoroaster, the ancient Persian prophet, perceived not just divine light, but divine struggle. In this remarkable dialogue, God shares how this revelation was a growth experience for Him, as He unveiled His dual nature to one of His earliest great prophets.God candidly addresses the existence of evil, not only in the world, but within Himself. Through Zoroaster's story, the problem of evil becomes a spiritual revelation: God is not a static perfection, but a being evolving toward wholeness. The universe is shown to be a shared spiritual journey, where even chaos plays a role in the unfolding of sacred order.

He explains that biblical characters are not historical persons but eternal states of consciousness that every individual must pass through in the process of spiritual awakening.Goddard asserts that the Bible is a divine plan revealed through personal experience. The story begins in Genesis, where Joseph (representing human imagination) is placed in a coffin in Egypt, awaiting deliverance. This signifies the burial of divine potential within man, which must be awakened and drawn out.Key Themes & TakeawaysMoses Represents the Birth of Spiritual AwarenessThe name "Moses" means "to be born" or "drawn out."Moses initiates the journey out of Egypt (the world of limitation and material existence). The revelation of God's true name—"I AM"—is given to Moses (Exodus 3:14), symbolizing self-discovery.Elijah Represents the Power of God (Unrefined Power)The name "Elijah" means "My God is Jehovah."Elijah represents sheer, untempered power and divine might. He performs miracles but without love or mercy, calling down fire and destruction.Elijah is lifted up into heaven by a whirlwind, showing that this state must be transcended.Jesus Represents the Fulfillment—Power Tempered by LoveThe name "Jesus" means "Jehovah is Salvation."The state of Jesus transcends Elijah by embodying infinite love, mercy, and wisdom. This is the final state of awakening where man fully realizes he is God.Jesus' resurrection symbolizes the complete transcendence of the material world. The Journey Through These States is InevitableEvery individual must move from Moses (awakening), through Elijah (power), to Jesus (love). The process is not voluntary—we are all "drafted" into this spiritual transformation."Egypt" represents our material existence, from which we must exit spiritually. The True Name of God is "I AM"When Moses asks God for His name, He responds "I AM THAT I AM" (Exodus 3:14).This means God is not external—He is your own consciousness and imagination. To awaken, one must recognize and trust in the divine power of their own "I AM."The Transfiguration & The Ultimate RevelationMoses, Elijah, and Jesus appear together in the Transfiguration (Matthew 17:1-8), representing the progression of consciousness. After the vision, only Jesus remains, signifying that the final state is unity with God.At the culmination of the journey, "I and the Father are one" becomes a realized truth.Final MessageGoddard urges us to recognize that we are all destined to awaken as God. This journey involves moving through the states of Moses, Elijah, and Jesus, ultimately leading to divine self-realization. He encourages his audience to put full trust in the name of God—"I AM"—and to understand the Bible as a personal, mystical roadmap to enlightenment. ***Download the free Neville Goddard PDF Guide at manifestwithneville.com - Discover the transformative power of Neville Goddard's wisdom with this FREE 60-page guide on his 12 timeless principles of manifestation and reality creation.★ Follow the podcast for daily lectures from the mystic Neville Goddard ★FREE RESOURCES:• Join the FREE Neville Goddard newsletter• Join the FREE Telegram Channel• Feeling is the Secret • Full Audiobook* * *The James Xander Trip Podcast:• Listen on Spotify• Listen on Apple Podcasts• Listen on YouTubeDIVE DEEPER:• The Unlock God Mode Course• The Infinite Wealth Guided Meditation* * *ABOUT NEVILLE GODDARD:Neville Goddard (1905-1972), was an English writer, speaker and mystic. 23rd Ramadan 1446 AHMarch 22nd 2025- The last ten nights of Ramadan, particularly the 19th, 21st, and 23rd, are significant because Laylatul Qadr occurs during this time, a night worth more than a thousand months.- Laylatul Qadr is linked to the Quran's revelation, marking a personal honor for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and an important annual event.- The Quran was revealed gradually over 22 years, with its complete revelation (Inzaal) on Laylatul Qadr.- The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was unschooled (ummi), which challenges the notion that he learned the Quran from other sources.- Despite living in a region with limited interaction with Jews or Christians, no one accused the Prophet of learning the Quran from outside influences.- A brief encounter between the Prophet and a Christian monk during his childhood in Damascus is sometimes misused to claim the Prophet learned from him, but it is not a strong basis for this theory.- While the Quran shares some stories with the Bible, such as those of past Prophets, the Quran's unique details distinguish its accounts from those in other scriptures.- The Quran recognizes the Torah and the Gospel as previous revelations but also acknowledges that these scriptures were altered over time.- For example, the story of Pharaoh's drowning in the Red Sea is expanded in the Quran with the unique detail of Pharaoh's body being preserved, which isn't mentioned in the Bible.- The authenticity of the Quran is proven through its divine origin and preservation, refuting claims that the Prophet plagiarized from other sources.Donate towards our programs today: https://jaffari.org/donate/Jaffari Community Centre (JCC Live)

In this Thelema NOW episode, Harper interviews Joseph Peterson, about "Mysteriorum Libri Quinque: Dr. John Dee's Five Books of Mysteries." This book from the 16th century, remains to this day one of the most important core texts of occult literature and a comprehensive guide to Enochian magic, encompassing language, symbolism, rituals, and practical techniques. This deluxe Weiser Ankh edition is a compilation of John Dee's secret spiritual treatises and was prepared from the original manuscript (preserved in the British Library) in Dee's own handwriting. These secret writings were discovered long after John Dee's death (c. 1609); they had been tucked away in a hidden compartment of an old wooden chest and were remarkably spared from destruction—uncovered only a few years before the Great Fire of London in 1666. In these five secret treatises, John Dee, one of the most renowned scholars of the Elizabethan era, records in minute detail his research into the occult. Joseph discusses working with damaged manuscripts, Dee's Biblical references, and Divine Revelation. They also mention Esoeric Archives, which you can access here. Check it out!

Historical Background: After the translation of 116 foolscap pages of the Gold Plates (known as the Book of Lehi), Martin Harris pleads with Joseph to allow him to take the manuscript to Palmyra to convince his family of the genuineness of this divine project. After tireless pleadings from Martin and through Joseph, the Lord finally consents, but Harris was reckless with the document and it was lost. Immediately, in July, 1828, Moroni appears and reprimands Joseph and takes the Urim and Thummim and the Gold Plates, not to be returned until Joseph is filled with repentance. In September, 1828, Moroni returns the Urim and Thummim and the Gold Plates to a very humble Joseph, who resumes the translation. Recap: Joseph is reprimanded for fearing man more than God, and is counselled that the works of God cannot be frustrated by men. Joseph's father receives a blessing through revelation outlining the marvelous work about to come forth and the need for the faithful to commit to serving the Lord. Guilt-ridden Martin Harris also asks for a blessing through revelation, hoping he can be one of the three witnesses to the Gold Plates. He is granted his desire, predicated upon his sincere repentance.
