Unity in the Hill Country near Austin

What happens when you combine end-of year reflection, Unity metaphysics, and the principles of Kwanzaa? Some might expect a clash of traditions; but we know it is the convergence of deep and practical spiritual Truth. This final Sunday of 2025 gives us an opportunity to notice how collective intention shapes individual lives -- and how individual healing uplifts the whole. Guided by Dr. Tracy Brown we will celebrate our victories, release patterns that block our future, and prepare ourselves to rise together to reach new heights in 2026.

The birth of Jesus symbolizes the powerful awakening of consciousness that has touched all corners of the world. The honoring and realization that this Christ Consciousness lies in all of us, is truly the source of eternal joy.

In Unity, Advent is a season of inner preparation--not about waiting for something outside of us to change, but about awakening to the divine light already present within. The talk will explore Advent as a living, personal journey of transformation: how moments of breakdown can become sacred doorways to hope, faith, joy, and love when we turn inward and choose conscious change.

“There is a mysterious interplay between silence and time. Waiting in silence is the essential condition for experiencing the passage of time as gift, not as a threat.” — Thomas Merton For some, the holiday season overflows with activity and expectation; for others, it highlights a sense of introspection and quiet. Both can be comforting, and both can feel overwhelming. How we experience time — whether in busyness or in stillness — has the potential to create within us a sense of constriction or expansion. In these contrasting experiences, the spaces in between invite us to know the place within ourselves that is always luminous, forever undiminished, and eternally revealing Divine perfection. Here, in the quiet center of our being, Divine Love is not something we reach for but something that meets us. In this Advent week of Love, we remember that this inner spaciousness is often the quiet doorway through which Love reveals itself — not through circumstance, but through Presence.

How approaching life from a non-defensive position allows energetic paths to widen, creating space for highest and best outcomes.

Jill Carey - “Writing Your History” Your history is more than a list of the important events and roles in your life. It is an atlas of your heart. Let's check in on your atlas and explore ways to plot your journey.

Shane Elmore - “Unmasking Courage” In this talk, we'll dive into the idea that real courage isn't about always appearing strong or invincible. Instead, it's about having the bravery to take off the mask and let our genuine, vulnerable selves be seen

Escaping the Matrix of Fear Fear keeps us plugged into an illusion of limitation. It's time to wake up, let go, and live from the truth that's been there all along.

So often we go searching for the Divine, for God in the form of something outside of ourselves, that we forget to seek the eternal wisdom that lies in inside . Being a child of God means cultivating a relationship with and taking ownership of the Holy Spirit that is in each and every one of us.

Join us October 19, with Nick Giovacchini and his talk, " Beyond reason lies revelation." In this talk, he will wade through the waters of indecisio n and calculation to find the quiet current of true discernment.

From ancient prophets and sacred texts to the beauty of music, art, and nature, the voice of Spirit has never been silent. Spirit is constantly speaking, then and now. We will explore how we can attune our hearts to hear.

In this talk, we will unravel old assumptions about prayer and discover a more personal, prejudice-free way of connecting with the divine. If you've ever felt like prayer was out of reach, this is your invitation to see it in a whole

Often times we may feel that our prayer life is separate from our day-to-day existence. Imbuing our lives with our prayerful intentions will carry us to prosperous new spiritual, emotional and physical heights.

This talk explores the power of steadfast faith—Prayer that does not quit, strength that carries us through the dark night, and the joy of trusting God's unfolding good. Persistence is not rigid striving, but a steady, flexible alignment with Spirit that reveals blessing in its perfect time.

This Sunday, we will celebrate Unity's World Day of Prayer. We celebrate prayer by doing it , by being in the midst of it. How do you pray? Do you pray with your mind or in deep contemplation? Let's explore both types of prayer and contrast the differences. You can decide which type of prayer works best for you. All prayer is good , as long as you practice it regularly.

We are all imbued with the Divine, but far too often we look outside of ourselves for it. Fostering and raising awareness of this super power within, connects us to the vastness of eternal Spirit. with Michael Finn

Sunday Service with Shane Elmore “You Spot It, You've Got It” Why do certain people trigger us… and others deeply inspire us? What if judgment and admiration point to the same truth? In this lesson, we hope to answer these questions.

Sunday Service with Nick Giovacchini The Shadowless Relationship We often chase the idea of a perfect, painless relationship—but what if that's just a mirage? This talk explores how real spiritual partnership isn't about avoiding the shadow, but embracing it as a path to healing, growth, and wholeness.

Rev Judy Beach - "Breakfast on the Beach" Part 2 Our world today may be filled with challenges of relating to others and situations. We can be bombarded with all kinds of information. How do we respond? We may find ourselves comparing our lives to athletes, movie stars and any number of life stories. How do we relate to others? In John 21, we find a story about Jesus joining the disciples post ascension to cook them breakfast and have a little chat with Peter. This is part 2 of our message, “Breakfast on the Beach”, and we continue to explore this 1st century story with teachings for our 21st century.

Spiritual Freedom - Stillness : The Freedom from Egoic Thought In this lesson, we will explore egoic thought and how it manufactures crisis, confusion and fear. Eckhart Tolle says" Stillness is your essential nature . Stillness is the inner space of awareness . You are that awareness disguised as a person ". Let's see if we can uncover that awareness of stillness and begin to live from it day by day. The result is living in freedom , without self-imposed limitations.

Spiritual Freedom - Freedom from Attachments Attachments are the beliefs and objects the ego clings to for a sense of security. Letting go of them moves us toward spiritual freedom—not perfection, but progress. Simply becoming aware of an attachment is a powerful step. Jesus, our Way Shower, taught us to “wear the world as a loose garment”—and so can we. Let's explore what we're holding onto and learn how to release what no longer serves us.

We all experience fear; we would hardly be human if we didn't. It is possible to face your fear and ask Spirit for understanding. Becoming aware is a big part of overcoming fear and its deleterious effects. "Fear not saith the Lord, for I am with you always." In this lesson, we will learn that fear is normal, natural, and can be liberating when, through practicing awareness, we don't fight fear, but see it as a visitor, come to alert you of a spiritual lesson on its way.

As we honor our Prayer Chaplains this Sunday, we deepen our relationships and discover and acknowledge the vital role of prayer in our lives. We have many opportunities in this spiritual community to deepen our spirituality. Join Rev. Judy as we explore even deeper and wider ways to practice heaven

Spiritual realization isn't always a mountaintop moment. Often, it's a quiet return to the present—a deep rooting into the here and now. This talk explores the calm clarity found not in escape, but in fully embracing the ordinary

Most generally, people interpret this statement as meaning Jesus was pronouncing himself equal to and therefore God. Perhaps, but on this Sunday, as we celebrate Father's , let's dig deeper into the metaphysics underlying this profound statement. Was he stating " I am God" or was he referring to the spiritual principle of Oneness , that you are also one with God ? Through the power of your thought (Divine Mind) , you can connect with Father power and His guidance , especially in times of need.

We hear much in Unity about Divine Order, which simply means Spirit guides your lives and circumstances by Her orderly process. Did you know God also guides you through disorder, stressful times when challenges abound. Can you allow yourself to be subject to divine guidance during those inevitable times of chaos and disorder? Let's talk about this on Sunday.

As we evolve and grow on our journey, what is ours to do, may not appear as what we want to do. Pain may be inevitable, but suffering is optional and allowing spirit to lead, rather than self will open up a world beyond our imagination.

Spiritual transformation sounds exciting, and it is, however, it can also cause what the Fillmores called “chemicalization.” Chemicalization is the bubbling up of old ideas as we begin to practice Truth. These old ideas need to die off before we can see the light of the new day, a new dawn.

Truth transforms by revealing our true selves, offering freedom, and guiding us towards a more fulfilling life. It helps us understand our place in the world, see things as they are, and make informed decisions.

Paul McCartney wrote “Let It Be” about a dream he had that his deceased mother Mary came to him in his dream and said “Let it Be.” This Mother's Day let's have some fun with the idea that “Mother Mary” represents the archetypal Mother, full of love and grace for her offspring (you and me) . Will we heed the lesson and Let it Be? Would that bring us peace this Mother's Day?

Oftentimes we are our worst critic and greatest adversary. Opening ourselves to the compassionate truth of the Christ consciousness will raise our vibration and shine our light brightly into the world.

In this talk, we explore how the Divine reveals itself in every corner of life—through nature, conflict, clarity, and even the chaos of daily experience. With reflections from mystical teachings, sacred metaphor, and embodied awareness, we're invited to see life itself as our greatest teacher. Beyond logic and labels, we move toward a deeper realization: that everything is guiding us, if we're willing to listen.

In this service, we will try to create the environment for you to experience Easter, not just talk about it. This will be accomplished by readings from scripture ( lectio divina), meditation and centering prayer. Easter can be a spiritual experience of awakening to the Divine within you, just as Jesus did.

This is about moving forward bravely into your purpose with humility (reliance on God). It's also about returning home as Jesus did when he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey (humility).

In this lesson, we will explore Unity's beliefs around who you are from a spiritual perspective. Eckhart Tolle says, “It is more important to simply be comfortable not knowing who you are.” But, we still want to know! Becoming fully human, and fully Divine. Maybe it's not about who you are so much as understanding wholeness, our true nature.

For most of our lives on this physical plane we've been told "what we are," or "what we're not." True, everlasting joy comes from finding out WHO we really are and becoming congruent with the purpose of what we've come here to do.

You will be releasing the "weight of the world from your shoulders" when you learn how to pray throughout your day. Yes, friends, a simple thought can be a prayer when it is lifted into a higher realm. No more anxiety or stress, just being present.

Let's drop our facade of rigid independence and learn how to reach out to others for support. In this lesson, we will talk about releasing the feelings of isolation and fear, by inviting others to know the real you. It is in asking for help that we join with others in spiritual progress.

Discovering and Applying Self Compassion in your Life

In this lesson, we will explore living with a sense of spaciousness and peace. Most of us are living in our heads, planning, rehearsing, and going over dialogue. It is a spiritual practice to make room in your mind for a spacious quiet time. With that Inner Space comes the presence of God. The presence of Spirit. The presence of Peace.

Our blockages can be our greatest source of inspiration and motivation. There are two sides to a door, what we can see, and what lies beyond. Let us always be inspired to nurture our curiosity, in turn expanding our experience, ourselves and the world
