Title: The Deity of ChristPassage: The Book of JohnSeries: JohnSpeaker: Rev. Dr. Jeremy BowerDate: February 22nd, 2026 To connect further with Countryside Covenant Church, please visit csidecov.com.
Hebrews began with the author reminding them that the living God has spoken fully and finally in his Son. The God who speaks has made himself known in his Son, and in vv. 3-4 we learn he is the Son who sits. In this sermon, pastor Matt helps us see that God's Son sits enthroned because of who he is and what he has done. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became a man in order to cleanse us from sin, and who now reigns in victory as the exalted Son of God.

In this episode with all five pastors we gather around the table for a wide-ranging, honest, and often hilarious conversation that moves from Super Bowl reactions and Winter Olympics highlights to the far more important question: Who is Jesus, really?Along the way, the guys chase a few classic rabbit trails—awkward mic moments, Seahawk debates, Olympic sports that defy logic, and church event cancellations—but eventually land on a thoughtful and timely discussion about cults, world religions, and the truth claims of biblical Christianity.A significant portion of the conversation centers on Jehovah's Witness beliefs, the reliability of Bible translations, and why the deity of Christ is not a side issue, but the foundation of the Christian faith. The pastors reflect on Sunday's sermon, explore how subtle changes in Scripture can lead to massive theological shifts, and offer practical guidance on how to engage Jehovah's Witnesses (and others) with grace, truth, and thoughtful questions rather than arguments. The episode closes with a pastoral reflection on why the resurrection matters, what it means if Jesus truly is God, and how that reality transforms faith from religion into relationship—and authority into hope.As always, expect laughter, honesty, and gospel-centered conversation as we chase the rabbit together.New episodes drop every Tuesday.Recorded at First Baptist Church of the Islands, Savannah, GA
As we begin our new sermon series through the book of Hebrews, pastor Matt reminds us of a life-changing truth: The living God has spoken fully and finally by his Son. All that we need to know about the one true God, his plan of salvation, and his purpose for creation is found supremely in Jesus Christ, for he himself is the Word of God.

John Collins and John McKinnon explore the destructive evolution of William Branham’s “little gods” doctrine and how it reshaped the nature of Jesus into something unrecognizable to historic Christianity. They trace how Branham’s shifting revelations, internal contradictions, and reliance on mystery-language gradually moved his followers into Arianism and deep theological confusion, creating a belief system where multiple versions of Jesus circulated at the same time. This discussion highlights how these teachings fractured families, eroded biblical clarity, and set the stage for modern charismatic excesses rooted in Branham’s ideas. Together they examine the internal logic of the doctrine, the manipulation of John 1:1, the diminishing of Christ’s deity, and the way Branham’s ideas empowered authoritarian leadership models that continue into today’s New Apostolic Reformation. With careful clarity, they unpack how these heresies developed, why they were historically rejected, and how they still shape ministries, identity, and belief inside and outside the movement. ______________________Weaponized Religion: From Christian Identity to the NAR:Paperback: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1735160962 Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCGGZX3K ______________________– Support the channel: https://www.patreon.com/branham – Visit the website: https://william-branham.org

In recognition of the upcoming 1,700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, we are presenting a special episode from our Navigating the Classics series. Dr. John Snyder is joined by attorney and elder Steve Crampton and pastor Jamie Crampton to discuss Athanasius's classic work On the Incarnation. Together, they trace the historical context of the writing, the theological debate that prompted it, and its influence on the Nicene Creed and the broader Christian tradition. They also walk through the content of the work itself, considering Athanasius's central arguments concerning sin, the incarnation, redemption, and the defeat of death. This episode is for listeners who want to understand why On the Incarnation has endured for centuries as one of the most important works in Christian literature. We pray it is a blessing to you this Thanksgiving season. To read the book and C. S. What makes a proud man preach a crucified Christ? In this episode of Light + Truth, John Piper opens Acts 9:19–22 to show how God overturns pride with a vision of his beloved Son.
We gather not to serve ourselves but to serve the Lord and learn of Him. A god shaped by personal preference is an idol. True worship is never about what we want—it is about honouring the Lord the way He wants to be honoured as revealed in the scriptures.Scripture shows that only God is worthy of worship—yet Jesus received it, forgave sins, and claimed equal authority with the Father. His disciples confessed Him as God, prayed in His name, and ascribed to Him divine titles. Every witness affirms the same reality: Jesus is not just Savior—He is God.Listen to this edifying message on the diety of Christ and be blessed.
Aug 17, 2025 John 8:13-20
The Bible shows that there is a unity within the Godhead where the Father, the Son and the Spirit exist in perfect oneness. Jesus has always been present from eternity and Scripture affirms His divinity. He called Himself I AM and the First and the Last, titles that belong only to God.He forgave sins, gave life and declared Himself the Messiah, which the prophets had already described as Mighty God and Everlasting Father. Though He humbled Himself on earth and submitted to the Father's will, this was in function and not in essence, for He remained fully equal in nature with the Father. The consistent witness of Scripture is that Jesus is not only Saviour and Messiah but truly God the Son, exalted as Lord forever.Listen to this sermon and learn about Jesus as revealed in scriptures.
