Ashley Hewin from Steffes Auction Group talks about the importance an auction can play in business development. It's not always an ending, but sometimes an evolution. He also highlights a big sale April 14th in Chippewa County that anyone can attend virtually. Kirk Scott with Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin says they're already noticing an uptick in retail sales as people become more comfortable dining out and capacity numbers go up. Twenty four stages all running at the same time. Who kept all that in order? Kirk for one.
Covid-19's impact on Wisconsin agriculture continues to be felt. County fairs and community festivals have been rolled back to 2021 in many areas and that's had a direct impact on Wisconsin's tractor pulling season. Josh talks to Greg Elsing, president of Badger State Tractor Pullers, about the decision to cancel the 2020 pulling season. Covid-19 also upended the entire dairy industry and the food distribution system. Making sure that the lines of communication stayed open and clear between dairy producers, processors, and grocery stores was critical. Kirk Scott from Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin explains why Wisconsin's reputation for quality dairy became a critical message for consumers stuck in their homes, sometimes cooking for the first time.
