We're once again grabbing our uwabaki (more on that later) as we're joined by Matt Stuertz to talk about The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift! Matt begins by dispelling Joey's expectations of his F&F experience and tastes before sharing his rankings and when he thinks these movies work best. We dig deep into Lucas Black's age in this movie, once again worry about breaking this down minute by minute, and wonder: who's the target demo for this movie? Matt shares some thoughts on what he'd like to see upcoming F&F movies cover. Joe brings a splash of Twilight Slumber Party to 2F2F. We try to find the "why" of the Hulk car and discuss the Mona Lisa and Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. Matt gets an exciting result in the F&F Character Quiz before we discover Mr. Tweet made BDWHAPFY harder. Again. Extra special shout-out to Alex Elonen, Nick Burris, Brian Rodriguez (High School Slumber Party), Michael McGahon, Lane Middleton, Jason Rainey, Wes Hampton, Mike Gallier, Josh Buckley (Whole Lotta Wolves), Michael Moser, Christian Larson, Terra New One, and Aaron Woloszyn for joining at the “Interpol's Most Wanted” level or above! At the 1999 box office, the Dennis Rodman action vehicle Simon Sez came in at... Well, actually, we don't know, because Box Office Mojo's rankings end at #200, which was American Movie, which made $1,165,795. Simon Sez made $292,152 (somehow) on a budget of...well, quite a bit more than that, probably. You've probably never heard of Simon Sez, and we hadn't either, until Joey came upon it accidentally and it was just a movie we couldn't pass up. Simon Sez is a very strange relic of its time, a Eurotrash martial arts action movie, directed by the guy who wrote the Iron Eagle trilogy, that keeps switching genres, featuring an unbearable performance by an unbearable human being (Dane Cook) that was meant for Robert Downey Jr. It is, to use a variation of a phrase we often use on the show, a movie that could only be made at the time. But it's so bizarre and bad that it's impossible to not be fascinated by. We watched it so you don't have to, but we had a great time talking about it with filmmaker Matt Stuertz. No, it's not the song by The Cars. Matt Stuertz wrote and directed an epic horror comedy mashup called Tonight She Comes that is equal parts The Evil Dead and Friday the 13th ... but throw in 20% American Pie and 1000% more period blood and you start to get an idea of what makes Matt come. It's extremely bloody, extremely funny, and extremely inappropriate for all audiences. If you thought the My Bloody Valentine remake featured a whole lotta labia, strap yourself in and crank the volume for Tonight She Comes because things just got weird. Catch up w/ Matt .. he's @MattStuertz at both Twitter and Instagram. The movie is available super cheap, or in some cases for free, at the usual sites: https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/tonight-she-comes. No US blu ray yet, but there are some European discs floating around. Keep an ear to the ground b/c I'll definitely be talking about this one again once that happens. And be sure to tune in next week for the start of a very special series that is one week late in the making because I am a complete fucking idiot! After a week off so that Luke could check out Fantastic Fest (presumably), we're back and this time we've added a co-host! Matt Stuertz, director of RWD and most recently TONIGHT SHE COMES, joins the madness for the entire episode. Heading into the news feed we have to mention the original HALLOWEEN is coming back to theaters. SYFY channel has gotten away from sharks being paired with weather patterns and is giving us NEVERKNOCK and TRUTH OR DARE. Surprisingly, we are excited for both. Netflix continues to champion the genre with horror-comedy THE BABYSITTER and the acquisition of THE RITUAL. And finally, since we have the man himself on the show, we talk about TONIGHT SHE COMES and the one-night screening it is having. Early listeners to the show will get a chance to see it Thursday, October 5th. As a sorry for missing a week, we decided some bonus content was in order. Luke interviewed the minds behind RUIN ME, Preston DeFrancis and Trysta A. Bissett. You won't want to miss this film. This week's review is another from Netflix, GERALD'S GAME. Mike Flanagan has been a busy man, with a fair amount of success, but how does he fair with a movie that most claimed to be impossible to film? You not only get our usual opinions, but the insight of someone who knows what it takes to direct. Finally, we finish up #ASKMODERNHORRORS. All of that and a whole lot more in this whopping two hour episode!

After stopping in for a guest appearance on the CinemaSins Sincast, Luke and Jacob were eager to get back to business and do what they do best: talk about horror movies in extremely colorful language. So what's on the docket? So much. Jordan Peele's GET OUT trailer took over the internet late last week and left us with very little doubt as to how it will perform at the box office... but will it be any good? The folks over at STARZ have given ASH VS EVIL DEAD the green light for season 3, and that's pretty groovy. The SYFY network is premiering their new original series titled CHANNEL ZERO, and we have some first impressions to share. Robert Englund is once again making headlines in the NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET universe, but this time as a writer? And last, but not least, Matt Damon's ass is on top of a giant wall fighting off monsters in the new trailer for THE WALL... and people are pissed. Then we switch gears for our review this week where we're taking on THE ALCHEMIST COOKBOOK. Then we switch gears again and are joined by writer/director Matt Stuertz to get the latest on TONIGHT SHE COMES. But wait! There's more. We follow all of that up with yet another entry into our spin on 31 DAYS OF HORROR discussion. This week we're talking about Home Invasion flicks, and Mr. Stuertz hangs around to share his pics!
