Do your kids (under 13-15) watch graphic paranormal movies?... You would be surprised even shocked. Kids as young as 5 are watching graphic horror and paranormal content, more often than you think and there can be detrimental effects on your kid's mental and emotional health. In this episode, I am answering Angela's question: Can my children be affected long-term by watching paranormal horror movies from an early age? We explore the effects of psychologically challenging and horrific graphic scenes on young minds. We look at how the detrimental content can possibly damage their psychological, mental and emotional health from my perspective as an energy worker and my personal and documented client-based experiences. Hello and welcome to Castle Talk where we talk to writers and creators of today's genre worlds, I'm your host Jason Henderson, PUBLISHER AT CASTLE BRIDGE MEDIA, HOME OF THE CASTLE OF HORROR ANTHOLOGY SERIES. Tonight we're chatting with Director Patricio Valladares and Screenwriter Barry Keating of the new film INVOKING YELL. Patricio Valladares' films have been showcased at festivals like Sitges, Fantasía, and Frightfest. In 2022, he directed three feature films, including the sequel to "Hidden in the Woods" for Germany and "Invoking Yell", acquired by Welcome Villain for release. Barry Keating has written 9 produced feature films, and has worked with genre icons such as Robert Englund (A Night On Elm Street), Ken Foree (Dawn of The Dead), Franco Nero (Die Hard 2) and the late Julian Sands (Naked Lunch) in one of his final roles.Set in 1997 in the south of Chile, INVOKING YELL is a love letter to black metal that follows a trio of metalhead twenty-something girls who venture into the woods to shoot the demo tape for their black metal band, Invoking Yell. However, things take a sinister turn as they document their disturbing and unorthodox process of recording paranormal phenomena to be used in the album's final track.INVOKING YELL will be released on 9/20 and available via Fandango at home and AppleTV. It marks the fifth collaboration between Barry Keating and Patricio Valladares. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/castle-of-horror-podcast--4268760/support.

For all the talk of video games on our humble little podcast, we have never talked about Minecraft. And for one really good reason. Neither of us have ever played it. So the news of a new movie was a complete shock to us. The latest casting news from the new Masters of the Universe movie also caught us off-guard, though we were much more impressed.Broken Bird recently made its world premiere at the U.K. Frightfest to positive reviews. The film sounds like a dour affair. A lonely woman works at a funeral parlor and escapes in daydreams and poetry. Adding to the bleakness is the story of a single mother mourning the loss of a child. Not only is the movie surprisingly funny (darkly so, obviously) it is also filled with charm and life. It would have been something really special if not for some odd decisions. Sometimes an ending can be a little too wild, especially when you choose not to have a payoff for some of your movie's most important moments.Wolves Against the World gets off to a great start. For a while it seems like it is going to be a badass rock and roll horror movie involving werewolves. It is not long before the film becomes something else entirely. In the process, it does away with any compelling characters or interesting story. Adventures in Movies! is a part of the Morbidly Beautiful Podcast Network.
