My guest this week is Lucas Bissett [38:42], executive director the AFFTA, the trade association for the fly-fishing industry.  Lucas talks about the support they give to small, grass roots organizations for education and habitat protection—organizations that may not be able to apply for larger grants.  One of their current projects, which we discuss in detail, is how ocean fish stocks will be managed due to the changes in migration patterns due to climate change.  Lucas tells us that the federal organizations that set regulations for harvest and size lengths are very responsive to public input, so its something for which you can make a difference. In the Fly Box this week, we have some great questions and tips, including: I was told the river we fished had lots of 15-inch fish but all we caught were fish up to 12 inches.  Could the fish have been in the bottom of deep pools because of the warmer water? The Confluence is a very similar show, but they have made pretty dramatic changes, according to Lucas. 14:10 –  Lucas shares that AFFTA has partnered with TrackFly, a data collection company, to obtain more precise and real-time census data. Life In Celina is better when you have the likes of Clint Bissett helping shape the city's future. In case you don't know Clint Bissett, he is the President of the Celina Economic Development Corporation and sits on the steering committee for Leadership Celina. Leadership Celina accepts applications for Class 3 through June 30th, 2023. If you have aspirations to become a leader in Celina, Texas, taking part in the Leadership Celina Class is paramount to that journey. But we are interested in something other than just Leadership Celina; we also want to know more about Clint Bissett himself. For example, did you know that Clint Bissett has an office that looks directly onto the Celina Square? Or that he is heavily involved in the Celina Chamber of Commerce with the annual Wine Crawl?  In typical Celina Radio fashion, we have a little fun with Clint Bissett as well; nothing too crazy, but maybe he knows a thing or two about fighting dinosaurs!

Welcome to the 50th episode of the Neurons to Nirvana podcast. It has been one year since embarking on this journey, and for new listeners as well as those priceless loyal friends and listeners, you know this year has been a year of transformation for me. The word Amo in Spanish means "I love" and Ni in Chinese means "You."  Amo Ni combines some of the most potent energy healing practices from east and west, making it a holistic healing powerhouse to eradicate the programmed emotions controlling your day-to-day unconscious decisions and the direction of your life. In today's podcast episode we talk with the creator of Amo Ni Bo Bissett.  Bo was once seeking approval in all the wrong places and ways possible. As often is the case, he was lost and hit rock bottom with alcohol and other mediums of self-medicating.  For all of his youth and over two decades of his adult life, he struggled. He never really felt like he fit in. He had a nice family, friends, and grew up never really wanting for much. He excelled at the sports he played, got decent grades even though he never studied, and never had a problem finding a girlfriend. But a toxic brew bubbled under the surface. And when it did, anger quickly followed, and he'd instantly go from one of the best players on the field/court to one of the worst. That same pattern repeated in the classroom. He felt stupid, worthless and like a failure of immense proportions. Then he found the work of Dr. David Hawkins and the fantastic book Power vs. Force. And through muscle testing and beginning to pay attention to the negatively and positivity in his life that he had control over, his life began to change.
