Surfside Tower Collapse/Tuesday Women's Class: This weekly women's class was presented on Tuesday, Parshas Pinchas, 19 Tammuz, 5781, June 29, 2021, live from Rabbi YY Jacobson's home in Monsey, NY. It happened 88 years ago, in 1932. The Lubavitcher Rebbe came from Berlin to Riga to spend Sukkos with his father-in-law, the sixth Chabad Rebbe. On Chol Hamoed, the Rebbe farbrenged all night in the Sukkah of the yeshiva. But nobody ever had a record of the words. After the Rebbe's passing in 1994, his personal journals were discovered and published as the "Reshimos." There they found the Rebbes transcript of that 1932 address, a major part of it dealing with the Torah laws about searching for people trapped in the rubble of a collapsed building. As the Mishna states (Yuma 83a), we never give up hope and never stop searching for anyone who might be alive. The Rebbe spent a few hours analyzing all the details of this halacha (which will be studied in the Daf Yomi this week), and then explaining it from an emotional and spiritual perspective, applying these laws to people living in a chaotic N What does it mean that a person is emotionally trapped under a collapsed building? How do we extract them? Do we ever give up? What are the signs of life we are looking for? Was the rebbe perhaps also addressing what would become his mission following the greatest catastrophe in Jewish history?

On this episode of finding Her, Julia introduces Renee Jones to the Finding Her community to discuss what she calls being in charge of packing your own bag with things you need to experience your own journey in this life. Renee shares how she works with clients to overcome emotional eating, disordered eating and so on. Renee has shared her journey through her work and through the TedX community about this topic. Julia and Renee openly talk in a highly sensitive area as both men and women struggle to lose weight and keep it off through their lifetimes. Renee shares that it is important to recognize that we live in a diet culture world and we must get to the real issue that is hidden under the surface as to why we overeat and continue to put food into our mouths instead of working through personal issues. Renee also pointed out her acronym that she uses in her business and with clients: H- Am I hungry right now? A- If I'm not hungry what is the attraction to food I am having right now? N- What do I need instead? Replace with something that you actually need instead of food. G- Go and get what you need that will actually be fulfilling for you.  To learn more about Renee and to get in touch with her including a freebie for the Finding Her Community: www.packyourownbag.com Freebie: www.packyourownbags.com/friends. Welcome to this 7-part series on creating consistent balance in your life.Did you know that 2 out of 3 people believe their lives were out of balance? That is not a fun statistic. As someone that can get out of balance and put too much focus on work, this statistic hits home for me. Because of this, I think it's important to me to keep a pulse on how I'm doing at maintaining a reasonable balance in my life. Realistically, we will never be fully balanced for long periods of time, but we can be aware of where things are off. In this 7-part series, we will look at seven ways to create consistent balance in your life. Realistically, I understand there will always be ups and downs, highs and lows but I expect of myself (and hopefully you do for yourself as well) a moderate level of consistent balance in my life. I use the word BALANCE to give you seven topics to think about and for you to focus on to help you maintain a reasonable balance in your life. The first is behavior.B is for BehaviorIf you want to improve balance in your life improve your behavior. The problem is most people really struggle with self-awareness. In fact, research shows 95% of those surveyed believed they had great self-awareness but when this was evaluated only 10-15% actually have great self-awareness. But this can be fixed. It starts by asking great questions. For great self-awareness, you have to ask yourself great questions. I want to show you how to do this. There are many ways to do this but I want to share two with you. The first way is to focus on the WIN. This first approach to paying attention to your behavior helps you to reflect on specific situations in the moment or shortly after. How To Create A WIN In Any SituationHow does WIN work? I'm glad you asked. It's simple. WIN is another one of those wonderful acronyms that I love so much. W - What went well?I - What could be improved?N - What could you do differently next time? Or Where can you apply the new learning? It only takes 2-minutes to ask yourself these questions. But the impact is life-changing. For example, the next time you're hanging out with a friend and get irritated by their behavior and then say something stupid, take some time to reflect. Turn the loss into a WIN (credit to Dr. Keith Webb for this concept). What went well? Don't dwell on the fact that you said something stupid. Evaluate yourself. What went well? Find a nugget of good in the situation. Then ask yourself, what could be improved? Finally, ask yourself, what could you do differently next time? You can also use this in a situation that went well. For example, you leave a business meeting and the meeting went smoothly, people were civil, and there are clear action steps. Okay great, now take 2-minutes to review and make this an even bigger WIN.Using this approach is for in the moment type reflection. Now I want you to learn about weekly reflection to help you modify your behavior and work toward more balance in your life.Modifying Your Behavior With Weekly ReflectionA simple way to make a huge impact on balance in your life is to do a 30-minute weekly reflection. How do you do that? Great question!Every Saturday I do a weekly review. I look at my to-do lists, my goals, and also complete a MOLO. I want to teach you the MOLO. The MOLO is a powerful set of questions that have literally changed my life in just a few weeks. Here are the 5 questions. What do I need to do More of?What do I need to do Less of?What do I need to Start doing? What do I need to Stop doing? What do I need to keep doing?Take 30-minutes every Saturday (or your day of choosing) and reflect on the behaviors of your week and what changes need to be made. I can tell you that after 5 weeks or so of this, you will see some amazing changes. I created new habits, stopped old ones, got new clients, improved relationships, and more. It's not too good to be true. It's just smart behavior modification. Improve Your Behaviors -  Improve BalanceRemember, to improve balance you have to improve your behaviors. The best way to do this is to do self-reflection but this self-reflection needs to be done right. These two steps I shared with you give you an opportunity to evaluate your experiences in an almost unbiased way. Evaluated experience is the work we need to do to create the wisdom in our lives to maintain balance. As we go through this acronym, each letter will give you simple ideas you can immediately apply to your life. I want to encourage you to start today with using the WIN and MOLO. You'll be amazed at how simple and effective these questions are for your life.  Music in this episode by:We Feel by tubebackrhttps://soundcloud.com/tubebackr

Billionaire lifestyle with Emmitt Muckles - Conversations with conscious entrepreneurs, solopreneurs and life changers

Ginny Scales Medeiros [caption id="attachment_2590" align="alignleft" width="292"] Ginny Scales-Medeiros What is Norman (W.I.N)[/caption]   The Billionaire Lifestyle is about living it's about living life.  Some of us on this planet come into the world with all the resources we will ever need for success.  On the opposite side of that coin are those who are born with limited access to the basic resources succeed.  Ginny Scales-Medeiros’ had limited access to resources which was no deterrent for her success. She is a born survivor and person who thrives. Stating during our podcast interview, it was a kind of blessing having her parents because she did not know what not to do. She had raised with no boundaries or limitations.  With the perspective of no boundaries, Ginny discovered that the sky is the limit and it is all up to us as individuals to create our own destiny. Not Domesticated but Thriving When you have something that's in alignment with your authenticity …….. somebody could look at my life and go you didn't have any parenting. I like to say I wasn't domesticated, which means that I didn't get,  you can't do this, you can't that. You have a teacher preaching “I'm a teacher you have got to do this, and this is the only way you can do that. I didn't get any of that Jenny Scales-Medeiros (W.I.N) What is Normal on Amazon Real women do sell cards From the Interview: I finished only the ninth grade I was on my own at 15. I lived way out in the middle of nowhere. Where we lived there were a thousand acres and our little trailer. Our house/trailer was eventually turned into a chicken coop later. My parents were teenage High School dropouts I moved out on my own at 15. Ginny felt like I was better off raising myself and I had a natural god-given talent and that was selling. The Kitten Lesson I actually started by finding homes for the kittens that were dropped off in abandoned fields near my home. I just felt like that it was my responsibility to find them (the kittens) homes and I remember taking them and walking 3 miles down the street to the store to get rid of the kittens. In order to actually find them(the kittens) homes, my initial approach was speaking to the parents and they would just say no, no, no and walk by. Then I realized if I talk to the child or children of the parents and showed them the kitten, then the child would sell the parents. The Evolution of Ginny She really began polishing her sales ability, so when Ginny moved out at 15, she was not old enough to sell cars but got in the Auto industry at 18.  She states, "I sold the car my first day and every day for a month making top salesperson 6 years in a row". I made the headline of the newspaper where the headline read ”real men may not eat Quiche but real women do sell cards”   Ginny's bio: Raised in upstate New York she resides in the San Francisco North Bay. Ginny is an entrepreneur with multiple patent's/trademarks. Appearing on NBC, CBS, FOX, news and written about in many National magazines. A record-breaking salesperson in the auto industry, making front page news. Speaker and Pioneer for 100% Electric Transportation, landing in a current Documentary about electric autos and co-author of “what is the Electric car?” along with other celebrities like Jay Leno. Ginny's first novel "What Is Normal?" made the top 40 Most inspirational 2012 via Gladys. Scales-Medeiros has been on Radio and TV talking about her book. Recently on ABC morning show "Believe in Yourself" * Currently Ginny's focus is on landing a movie deal for the Screenplay "WIN" based on her novel "What Is Normal? " an edgy feature-length drama, she Pitched “WIN” and  made Finals @ the “Napa Valley Film Festival” Ginny is an animal lover, on her own at 15 finishing only the 9th grade her "intention is to motivate and inspire people to remember their God-given gifts and talents." and use them.
