Whether you're connecting with people who will influence your success a decade in the future or simply allowing yourself to be led by your gut instead of your head, trusting your vibes matters.    Your intuition is natural, but you have to awaken it. Slow down, get curious, and don't merely listen to your vibes. Be brave and act on them! Not quite ready to take action? Start in the smallest ways possible by simply taking a breath to check in with your vibes. Then acknowledge your vibes (even if you aren't ready to act on them). Hello to you listening in Corning, New York!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. One of the first signs of recognition a new mother looks for in her infant is - a smile. Look! She's smiling at me! Yes! Baby sees you. Baby recognizes you. From earliest days we are cued to the smiles of other human beings. Remember what we missed in the COVID time with masks masking our smiles? Sure, we crinkled our eyes to signal a smile but it wasn't the same as receiving a smile from another human. Sometimes the tone of our voice was a good substitute. The “music of the spoken word” stood in for our smile. We did the best we could with what we had.  Like a smile, the "music of the spoken word" brings written text to life with inflection, pause, tone, emphasis, and  cadence. Reading text alone is quick, cheap, and easy but the human voice lends expression and emotional meaning.I create each 60 Seconds episode with you in mind to offer a measure of hope, delight and imagination, as well as thoughts to ponder, stories to share, a practical tip to lighten and brighten your day. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my podcast episodes. My voice is me smiling at you.  You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" When you're unapologetic about your value, you stop negotiating with people who were never going to buy anyway and start attracting clients who recognize what you bring to the table. We dive into why women especially struggle with owning their worth, how to communicate your value without justifying or over-explaining, and what changes when you stop shrinking to make others comfortable. Your confidence in what you offer directly impacts whether people invest—if you're wishy-washy about your value, they will be too. In this episode of The People Dividend Podcast, host Mike Horne speaks with John Guaspari, an expert in organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. They discuss the critical human factors that drive business success, including trust, respect, and engagement. John shares insights on common mistakes leaders make regarding employee engagement, the importance of respect in leadership, and the impact of remote work on workplace dynamics. He emphasizes the need for genuine communication and understanding in fostering a positive organizational culture.   Key Points: The number one mistake leaders make is starting with the wrong problem statement. Leadership is about getting people to want to do what you need them to do. Engagement is about discretionary effort, not just mechanical interactions. Surveys can be misleading; direct conversations are more effective. Understanding employees' needs is crucial for effective leadership, as well as prioritizing respect as a fundamental humanistic value in order to drive engagement. The shift to remote work has changed how we interact with colleagues, since casual interactions are harder in remote work settings. Simple gestures like saying hello can have a big impact.   Links:  Learn more about Mike Horne on Linkedin Email Mike at mike@mike-horne.com Learn More About Executive and Organization Development with Mike Horne Twitter: https://twitter.com/mikehorneauthor  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mikehorneauthor/,  LinkedIn Mike's Newsletter: https://www.linkedin.com/newsletters/6867258581922799617/,  Schedule a Discovery Call with Mike: https://calendly.com/mikehorne/15-minute-discovery-call-with-mike     Learn More about John Guaspari: https://www.johnguaspari.com/    #peopledividendpodcast #podcastepisode #podcastrecommendations #LeadershipInsights #EmployeeEngagement #RespectInTheWorkplace #OrganizationalCulture #HumanConnection

Rather than rushing to fix or label what's happening, they invite listeners to consider that heaviness may be a soul lesson — one that isn't meant to be solved, but felt and integrated.Through personal reflections, spiritual insight, and energetic awareness, this conversation looks at how transitions, soul contracts, and inner shifts can change the way love feels. They speak honestly about the pressure to analyse emotions, the discomfort of not having answers, and the power of presence during uncertain phases. This episode is a gentle reminder that not every phase of love requires action. In this episode of “The Restaurant Prosperity Formula,” restaurant owners can expect to learn why motivation and willpower aren't enough, how habits and systems turn clarity into results, and what it really takes to create consistency, calm, and control in a restaurant. This conversation is about closing the gap between knowing better and actually running a better business.

Hello to you listening in Bethesda, Maryland!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories With Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. When I launched my communication consulting practice, Quarter Moon Story Arts, I established a uniquely forward-looking, story-based business founded on the power of story to profoundly and positively shift our awareness, our behavior, even our culture. Like magic, the sorcery of stories is this: they help each of us to be seen and heard, to understand and be understood. As the eldest of 7 children, an incest survivor, nurse, attorney, litigation consultant, and professional storyteller I had to teach myself again and again how to be seen, heard, understood, and listened to. How did I do that? I learned to tell my personal and professional stories in my own words with my own values in my own way. Always it was a now-or- never chance to become a stubbornly courageous speaker willing to give life to my authentic voice.  My mission is language. Language is power. Your stories, visions, ideas, and messages are powerful; but only if they are brought to life. What if you could tell the story that advances your business, creates clarity in life choices, persuades your clients, or produces effective results from your ideas?CTA: If you have a desire to say what you mean and mean what you say, come as you are and change inside Quarter Moon Story Arts.Book a Discovery Call and get your story going => Email me =>  Info@quartemoonstoryarts.netYou're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" In this episode, we're getting real about the standards you're currently accepting in your business—you will never scale beyond what you're willing to settle for. If you're tolerating mediocre client experiences, inconsistent follow-through, half-finished systems, or "good enough" marketing, that's exactly the ceiling you're building for yourself. We talk about how the version of you that got you here isn't the version that will get you there, why raising your standards feels uncomfortable (and why that discomfort is actually growth), and the specific areas where settling is secretly sabotaging your scale. Raising your standards means deciding what you're no longer willing to accept and then becoming the person who doesn't have to. If you've been wondering why growth feels stuck, this episode will show you exactly where to look. In this episode of The People Dividend podcast, host Mike Horne speaks with workplace strategist Penny de Villiers about the future of work, focusing on the importance of redesigning workplaces to prioritize employee wellbeing and sustainable performance. Penny shares her personal journey from experiencing burnout to advocating for a healthier work environment. The conversation explores the current state of employee engagement, the consequences of neglecting wellbeing, and the role of managers in fostering a supportive workplace culture. They discuss the integration of technology in the workplace, the potential of the four-day work week, and practical steps managers can take to enhance their team's wellbeing and performance.   Key Points: Penny de Villiers emphasizes the importance of workplace wellbeing and explains that burnout can lead to significant personal and professional consequences. Organizations are beginning to measure employee wellbeing more seriously since investing in this correlates with higher profitability. Workplace redesign should focus on creating environments where people can thrive. The four-day work week is gaining traction as a viable option as technological integration in the workplace is increasingly alleviating mundane tasks for employees. Understanding team dynamics is essential for effective management, yet there is still a gap between leaders' words and their actions when it comes to prioritizing employee wellbeing.    Links:  Learn more about Mike Horne on Linkedin Email Mike at mike@mike-horne.com Learn More About Executive and Organization Development with Mike Horne Twitter: https://twitter.com/mikehorneauthor  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mikehorneauthor/,  LinkedIn Mike's Newsletter: https://www.linkedin.com/newsletters/6867258581922799617/,  Schedule a Discovery Call with Mike: https://calendly.com/mikehorne/15-minute-discovery-call-with-mike     Learn More about Penny de Villiers: https://pennydevilliers.com/about  #peopledividendpodcast #podcastepisode #podcastrecommendations #FutureOfWork #WorkplaceWellbeing #SustainablePerformance #Leadership #BurnoutRecovery

In this episode of the Sales Maven Show, Nikki Rausch hosts an on air coaching conversation with Lizette Cloete, a Christian dementia caregiver advisor and podcast host. The episode focuses on strengthening a Discovery call framework for service based businesses, especially when the work is emotionally complex and deeply personal. Nikki guides Lizette through refining how she leads discovery conversations so they create clarity, confidence, and momentum without over coaching or giving away the solution too early. Lizette works with Christian family caregivers navigating dementia, and her approach centers on helping people feel grounded, supported, and informed during overwhelming seasons of life. Nikki helps Lizette translate that heart centered work into a clear Discovery call framework that honors both the prospect and the seller. When discovery calls lack structure, they often turn into long conversations filled with free advice, emotional labor, and unclear next steps. This episode addresses how to prevent that pattern while still showing compassion and care. Throughout the coaching session, Nikki reinforces the purpose of a Discovery call framework and what it is designed to accomplish. Discovery calls are not meant to solve the problem. They are meant to determine whether a real need exists, whether there is alignment between the prospect and the service, and whether the seller has earned permission to present what comes next. When these elements are clear, the conversation feels grounded instead of rushed or awkward. Listeners will hear Nikki explain how to ask the right kinds of questions that move the conversation forward. She breaks down the importance of asking questions that identify fit, decision readiness, and expectations, while also using thoughtful expertise based questions to establish authority without teaching the solution. When sellers rely on improvisation instead of a Discovery call framework, they often talk too much and miss important buying signals. This episode shows how structure actually creates more ease and confidence on both sides of the conversation. Nikki also emphasizes that discovery calls are not about proving yourself. When you trust your process and your Discovery call framework, you no longer feel pressure to convince or rescue the prospect. Instead, you guide them toward clarity and a decision, whether that decision is yes or no. This episode is ideal for service providers who feel emotionally invested in their clients and want a Discovery call framework that feels ethical, professional, and sustainable. When discovery calls feel draining or inconsistent, this conversation offers practical guidance for creating conversations that feel complete, respectful, and effective while protecting your time and energy. The Female Health Solution Podcast

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 19, 2026 31:42

If you are exhausted all the time and can't figure out why, this episode is for you. Today I'm breaking down the real truth about adrenal health, cortisol, and fatigue, and why so many women feel stuck, dismissed, or confused when it comes to their energy. Fatigue is not one thing. It is not always just stress, and it is definitely not something you should be told to "just push through." One of the most frustrating things about fatigue is that so many symptoms overlap. Low energy can come from nutrient deficiencies, blood sugar instability, thyroid dysfunction, estrogen or progesterone imbalance, adrenal dysfunction, or cortisol issues. This is why guessing rarely works. When women ask me: Why do I feel like this? Are my adrenals burned out? Is my cortisol too high or too low? Why does nothing I try actually fix this? The answer is not a guess. The answer is data. This is one of the reasons I love the DUTCH test so much. It shows us what your body is actually doing with cortisol, not just a single snapshot in time. I recently reviewed a DUTCH test for a woman whose main concern was low libido. She had tried every testosterone supplement out there and even changed her workouts to boost hormones. Her testosterone looked great. The real issue was her cortisol and adrenal function. This is incredibly common. Cortisol issues can shut down libido, energy, motivation, sleep, and even weight regulation, especially in women. High Cortisol vs Poor Cortisol Clearance Sometimes fatigue comes from producing too much cortisol. Other times, it comes from the body being unable to clear cortisol effectively. The DUTCH test shows us both. Elevated cortisol production can look like feeling wired but tired, anxious, inflamed, unable to sleep, or constantly on edge. Poor cortisol clearance can lead to puffiness, brain fog, inflammation, weight gain, hair loss, and a sense that stress just keeps piling up. These require different strategies, and this is where personalized care matters. Why Lifestyle Has to Be Part of Healing If someone is helping you with hormones but never asks about your sleep, stress, digestion, or daily life, you are not getting full care. Sometimes healing looks like: Supporting cortisol regulation with adaptogens and targeted herbs Improving protein and mineral intake Fixing sleep timing and consistency Supporting liver, gut, lymphatic, and kidney clearance Learning how to stop living in constant survival mode And sometimes the most powerful changes are surprisingly simple, but only once you know exactly what your body needs. How We Actually Fix This Once we know what's going on, the next question is always: "Okay, what do I do about it?" This is exactly what we do inside The Hormone Foundations Program. This is a six-month, one-on-one program where we: Run a DUTCH test at the beginning Create a fully personalized plan based on your results Adjust support as your body changes Address adrenal function, cortisol production, and clearance Re-test at the end so we can compare and confirm progress There is no cookie-cutter timeline. We focus on what your body needs, not what a generic schedule says you should work on. This is our most popular program for a reason. It gives you answers, a plan, and support every step of the way. With fear in her voice my climbing partner froze partway up her ascent and cried out: “I can't find anything to hold on to.” Time passed. From far above us a voice replied, “Grab it with both hands...” It worked! She trusted the guides, their advice and herself sufficient to climb all the way to the top and descend the rock face.
