Was bedeutet der Name Granö Beckasin? Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 107th episode of VideoFuzzy titled "Persons Unknown," reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. "Persons Unknown" was a short-run summer series in 2010 on NBC, archived across now three binders in my collection, including an episode that never aired, archived to my current collection, as well as a home-burned disc set I crafted while watching them for this feature, which has also been posted to VideoFuzzy's YouTube channel as my 15th ever VideoFuzzy the Video: https://youtu.be/X0j2mMfjFng In Cross Connections, I track connections through the cast of "Persons Unknown" as well as Barry Bostwick, Chi McBride, Aldis Hodge, Chris Gaultier, Colin Mochrie, Danny Strong, John Billingsley, Erik Charles Nielsen and Charissa Barton. Under Fond Reflection, I celebrate the life and work of Catherine O'Hara as a Golden Thread in my collection. In my Classic Collection [VHS-to-DVD transfers], this set covered discs 1951-1975. An extension of strange coincidence I outlined last time, this was just the craziest set of circumstances, a search for a couple of ads that turned up in my collection came up empty so they ended up on VideoFuzzy's Instagram. That search, however, did turn up the final two episodes of "Strange Luck," a mid-'90s FOX production, these two on the YouTube channel @OASMovies-gw5tz and also posted within the past year. Wild! Also, Isabella Rossellini explored the sex lives of bedbugs on the Sundance channel, which showed up as a clip and some commentary on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," a staticky copy of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," and Jensen Ackles lip-syncing to Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" in the credit sequence for a fourth-season episode of "Supernatural." https://bit.ly/3MkLSmd In my Current Collection [direct to digital], I added the two episodes of "Strange Luck" that I found, along with a classic production of Agatha Christie's "The Seven Dials Mystery" from 1981 on AcornTV as well as the three-part Netflix adaptation. Also, comments on "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery," issues with tubi's production of "Doctor Who," and Jack Smith's testimony to the House Judiciary Committee and comments from there. In Book Reports, I've been walking a lot more and reading a lot of authors through my audible account. I've read three by Sophie Hannah, a short story collection by Agatha Christie and one each by Riley Sager, Marthe Jocelyn, Maureen Johnson and this one I'll recommend highly, "Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death" by M.C. Beaton, which was absolutely delightful. Finally, in What I've Been Watching, my husband, Ralph, and I just finished watching "My Hero Academia," I've encountered a few episodes of "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries," and over new year's I took in "Marty Supreme." Fun! SPREADING THE WORD! "VideoFuzzy: The Video - Celebrating 100 Episodes!" is posted at https://youtu.be/eWfcCDiOZ2I. Please share as you're able to with anyone you feel might enjoy this production. For PROMOS, scroll all the way down at https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com. In this episode of Being Bookish, I am heading to the tranquil banks of the Thames to visit with Judith, Becks and Suzie as they investigate two unfortunate deaths in Marlow while dealing with personal issues in The Mysterious Affair of Judith Potts by Robert Thorogood. As the creator of the hit TV show Death in Paradise, Thorogood knows exactly how to craft a brilliant mystery. This latest release, which hit shelves on January 15th, 2026, marks the fifth book in the popular Marlow Murder Club series. As always, I will be sharing my personal thoughts as well as looking at other reviews to provide a balanced perspective because we cannot all like everything. I will also be keeping it completely spoiler-free because you may want to visit Marlow for yourselves at some point, and you know I don't like to spoil books for anyone! If you enjoy a classic cosy mystery with a sharp-witted protagonist, a touch of eccentricity, and a puzzling case that keeps you guessing, this episode is definitely for you. It is the perfect recommendation for fans of cosy crime and amateur sleuths looking for their next favourite read. Can you solve the mystery before the trio of friends does? To round things off, my second, shorter review is for Esther is Now Following You by Tanya Sweeney. This is a far more unsettling and contemporary read that not only explores the dark side of social media obsession and parasocial relationships but also tackles deeper, moving themes of mental health issues and grief. It offers a sharp contrast to the charming, community-driven sleuthing in Marlow and is a must-read for fans of character-driven stories with real heart. So pop the kettle on, get comfy, and let's talk books. In S5Ep9 of the PRP, Adam saddles up with distance-running drip lord, group run superconductor, enlightened suffer-well philosopher and consistently inconsistent marathon dreamer Jeff Tyrone Vito, who had been preparing for the Chicago Marathon on Sunday October 12th, 2025. Elliot Osoteo, proud Pinoy pacer, charismatic community conduit, and all around empathy engine of the Must Be Nice Collective, returns to the pod to reflect on finding purpose through loss, community through art, and joy in the slow miles that lead to self empowerment. The lads crack open conversations about structure, struggle, and showing up—especially when the mind tries to talk you out of your own potential. Vito reflects on stepping into Saddler's Saddles—his first time trading full running independence for coaching guidance—and discovering that sometimes the real growth comes from letting someone else hold the map while you find your own rhythm. From battling self-doubt to embracing accountability, he shares how finding more structure in training has opened up more freedom in life—reminding us all that forcing the process kills the joy, and at the end of the day, isn't joy the whole point? In other words, the less he tries to control the recipe, the more the universe seasons it just right.Things get vulnerable when Elliot opens up about running the Detroit Free Press Marathon on the one-year anniversary of his mother's passing. Instead of being paralyzed by grief, he's learned to run with it—letting memory fuel movement and presence soften pain. Together, the duo explores how identity can warp when you cling too tightly to performance, how slowing down can really be a form of strength, and why documenting the sport is its own kind of stewardship. You don't have to be the one pinning on the bib to build the culture—often times the lens, the support, or the vibe is the contribution.Must Be Nice mischief?! Saddler-certified?? Confusing showers?? Vito's vengeance? Married to the game? Booty call bedtimes?? Quiche, honey croissants and crumb-covered naps oh my!This and so much more in this hilarious, heartfelt and sneakily profound episode of the PRP.SponsorsUp & Running PerformanceAnn Arbor Running CompanyRecorded Wednesday October 1st @ 10:00AM EST

Brian, Blake, and Richard are back for Episode 580 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - The greatest guitar gear deal ever and is Brian working with the military?  Blake is cursing at his air conditioning and Richard is wearing heavy metal t-shirts while Brian is in an indeterminate state of undress. Yes, it is business as normal here at Chasing Tone. Brian has an idea for an amp and the fellers may just be on to something. Richard takes us through the un-boxing of his new drum Kit having completely forgotten he talked about elements of this last week because he is both old and an idiot but he has had an epiphany. What is the perfect ratio of amplifiers to guitars? Richard finds himself unusually short.Someone made a mistake and accidentally discounted a suite of plugins and the guys discuss consumer expectations and trying to get one over on the man. Somehow this involves some British folklore from the 1990s and the guys invent a dangerous new sport.Water cooled amplifiers, Hoover free flights, Quiche, Bad career advice, Vegetable wars, Eddie Vedder Tele, Subwoofer flatulence...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!Awesome TrueFire Offer for listeners! 14-day FREE All Access trial – Full access.
