At first the crowds cheered, then later in the passion week they jeered. Why did the cheering stop? In today’s message pastor Alexander will identify three reasons why the cheering stopped then, and why the cheering stops now in our lives. Observe when Christ saw the city He wept over them. But the question remains: When he sees you, will he weep over you?

Singing and music in general is big part the Advent/Christmas season. But why do we sing? Why do we celebrate freely in this month of December? A local FM station has been playing only Christmas music for the past several months. And do you know what most Christmas music is all about? It is about Jesus – The Savior of the World!! Yes, we sing of a baby, but we also sing of the salvation of the World. We sing of God's involvement in the world. Our Text for today speaks of the reality of uncontrolled singing. Mary sings and rejoices in song and teaches us much about our God and just how He breaks in on our reality! The call is to sing! Yes, to sing with Mary, to SING, to CELEBRATE, and to WORSHIP. It is a call to change our focus from merely our circumstances and ourselves to our lovely and caring God. So, what is Mary's Song? Mary's song is a song of Praise (vs 46-49). Mary's song is a song of Purpose. Mary's song is a song of Promise. It is time to sing! It is time to celebrate. God is to be praised. God has a purpose. God has fulfilled his promise. Are you singing! Are you rejoicing? Sing Mary's Song!!

Our Text here today is found in Psalm 24. This is the last Psalm what has become to be known as the Shepherd Psalm Trilogy. We get these glimpses of Jesus as our Shepherd in different roles as they are described for us in Psalm 22,23,24. In Psalm 22 we saw Jesus as the suffering savior and we need not fear because Jesus already suffered the curse of sin for us. He is the shepherd who laid down his life for the sheep. In Psalm 23 we saw Jesus as the guiding shepherd and we need not fear because it is Christ who gives us everything we need and it is Hi who guides His sheep. Psalm 24 is the last of the trilogy of these three Psalms. We see Jesus here as the Chief shepherd He is the king of glory who rules and reigns with all authority and power. It is only when we get an accurate view of who Christ is that fear, doubt, and faithlessness succumb to His ruling presence in our hearts.

If it is human to say a dumb thing at a crucial time, and it is, then Peter was indeed human. Here is Peter on a mountain top in the presence of the divine and eternal, and he says, "Let’s us make three huts." Our Text is Matthew 17:1-13.

We aren't given much information on the life of Jesus before the three years of his ministry, but we can be certain that there was much preparation. Our Text is broken up into two categories: 1. John the baptist (vv. 1-22) 2. Jesus' genealogy (vv. 23-38)
