What does it actually mean to be healed by the blood of Jesus? Recovering from leg surgery, Fr Columba reflects on the slow, hidden work of physical healing as a window into how the soul is healed in the Eucharist and confession. Do you ever feel like God is irrelevant to your actual daily life? We spoke about his life growing up in Colombia, his early years in a Catholic monastery, how a chance encounter with Terrance McKenna and ingesting yagé changed the course of his life and work, and the extraordinary life he lived and created as one of the pioneers of researching the idea of plant intelligence and how indigenous groups of the Americas used plants to shape their cosmosvisions. In October of 2015, 21 year old Dutch medical student Sophia Koetsier vanished inside Murchison Falls National Park in Uganda, a place with strong river currents and dangerous wildlife.
