Therefore, know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying,"In you all the nations shall be blessed." So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.Galatians 3:6-9The Apostle Paul confronted the confusion created by the Judaizers in the Galatian churches by reminding them that the Gospel, preached to Abraham 2000 years earlier, had promised salvation to all who would believe, regardless of race or nationality. Today, 2,000 years later, we may need to hear that again. We hope you enjoy Pastor Ray's message: “The Gospel According to Abraham.”

Sad to say, many in the modern American church have never considered how this account prefigured God's sacrifice of His only Son 2,000 years later!“This is the only type in the Old Testament where God requires a human sacrifice; where God reveals the necessity for a human victim to atone for sin; for as it was that man had sinned, it must be by man, not the sacrifice of beasts, that Divine justice would be satisfied.”Arthur W. Pastor Ray focuses today on the wonderful gift of love from God. It's not sloppy or sentimental, nor does it have strings of expectations but it's real.

This means that the 7 distinct ‘separations' he experienced in the ‘flesh' represent 7 distinct separations we will experience in the ‘spirit'. Do you know what they are?“The life of Abraham, as recorded in Genesis, is not just an obsolete narrative of something which happened in the far distant past. It is a portrayal of the experiences of Abraham's children through the ages; a description of how God deals with his own in all time.”Arthur W. But many Christians have never considered the seven distinct decisions he had to make to develop his faith and demonstrate his obedience to God. We call these “The 7 Separations of Abraham”. They are the signposts that mark our way to the ‘Promised Land'. Do you know what they are?“Abraham is the father of all those that believe. He is a standing pattern of faith, even as parents are examples to their children. He is the precedent of all those who are justified by faith.”Matthew HenryWe hope you can be with us this weekend for Part 1 of Pastor Ray's message...“The 7 Separations of Abraham”

It is a commandment against depending upon anyone or anything other than our heavenly Father to provide all our needs. We must resist any antichrist/socialistic/Babylonian system of government that puts itself in place of God as our Provider.“The Bible tells us that God is our Father; but more often than not, the people make the State their Father, because the State supposedly can provide us all the financial aid we need.”Gary DeMar, “God and Government”“The Father is the symbol, not only of authority, but also of provision.” ‘Our Father who art in heaven...Give us this day our daily bread'. To look to the State for sustenance is actually an act of cultic worship.”Herb Schlossberg, “Idols for Destruction”We hope you enjoy Part 3 of Pastor Ray's message...“Nimrod and the Tower of Babel”

And they said, "Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name; lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."Genesis 11:4Nimrod, the wicked great grandson of Noah, set up a city that offered men a way to heaven without God. In such a system, the state sees itself as God; and to those foolish enough to fall for it, the government becomes God. Don't think it can't happen here.“The State is the Divine Idea as it exists on earth. We must therefore worship the State as the manifestation of the Divine on earth; the State is God, marching through the world.”Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel(1770-1831)We hope you enjoy Part 2 of Pastor Ray's message: “Nimrod and the Tower of Babel”

In today's message, Pastor Ray unpacked how the church in Acts 15 overcame conflict on the path to unity at the Jerusalem Council. First, we explore the cultural and historical context that led to the dispute before moving to the defense of Peter, Paul, and James for what God was doing among the Gentiles. We then unpacked James' Holy Spirit-directed decision that would promote unity between Jews and Gentiles. The legalists should lighten up and not lay too heavy a yoke on the Gentiles and the converts should be sensitive concerning their habits. Finally, we consider the direction-- what Holy Spirit might want us to focus today with "these three things:" Seek unity, Avoid offense, and Maintain a holy lifestyle. -Featuring Ray Grubbs

Today we start a new series by studying the longest recorded prayer that Jesus prayed in the Bible. In what we refer to as “The Lord's Prayer” Jesus was teaching the disciples to pray. In John 17, Jesus is hours away from the crucifixion, and He prays a prayer we will study over the next seven weeks. This recorded prayer gives us an amazing look into the relationship of the Father and Son. Our text is John 17. Questions?
