Prayer Series - The Harmony of Prayer Niall Presland-White Prayer is not one voice but many, woven together in harmony. Through Hezekiah, Moses, and Jesus, we see that prayer is not about perfection, but relationship. We bring God our imperfect offerings, trusting that He sees the heart behind them. We seek His glory above our own desires, believing that His purposes are good. And in both joy and hardship, we learn to pray as Jesus did: “Not my will, but Yours be done.”The harmony of prayer is found in bringing every part of life before God - our praise, our struggles, our questions, and our hopes - trusting that He is present, listening, and at work.
Prayer Series - Pentecost Sunday Lyndon Reiff Pentecost reminds us that God does not leave His people alone. Through the Holy Spirit, He fills ordinary, imperfect people with His presence and power so they can carry the mission of Jesus into the world. The same Spirit that came in Acts 2 is still at work today — bringing life, courage, unity, healing, and hope through people willing to say yes to Him.Prayer is not reserved for the spiritually impressive; it is woven into ordinary life and ordinary people. As we consistently turn our hearts toward God in the everyday moments, we become more aware of His presence, His voice, and His work around us. Pentecost is the reminder that God's promises are true: He writes His love and purposes on our hearts, empowers us through His Spirit, and invites us to join Him in bringing His kingdom into the world.

Prayer Series - Formed Through Prayer Peter Jenkins Prayer is not about getting the words right or having a perfect routine, but about being connected to God in every season of life. Whether through liturgy, journaling, Scripture, silence, or simple honesty, prayer forms and shapes us over time. Even when we don't know what to pray, God meets us there — through His Spirit, through His Word, and through the presence of others who stand with us.

Here is the unshakable truth of God's love - nothing, no circumstance or failure, can separate us from Him. We don't need to have it all together to come to God; we simply come as we are, and He meets us with grace. Prayer is not a formula, but is a deeply personal, honest relationship with a good Father who knows us fully and never forgets a single prayer. Even in seasons of silence, we're invited to trust His goodness, draw near with authenticity, and partner with Him as His kingdom continues to break into our world.

There is both power and pain in prayer, which invites us into a deeper, more honest relationship with God. Prayer is a place we become aware of God's presence in everyday life, but we all know that we often face seasons where prayer seems to be unanswered - and this is when silence, disappointment, and doubt can take hold. The story of the road to Emmaus, reminds us that Jesus walks with us in our questions and struggles, and that God's silence does not mean His absence. We are called to bring our unfiltered, real prayers to God, discovering that the goal of prayer is not just answers, but relationship with Him.
Challenge your assumptions and broaden your perspective on 'Perspective with Pastor Aaron' as we explore the big questions of Life and Faith.Episode 5: Jesus' Prayer
This is the first installment of our new Prayer Series. Prayer is not as a task to master, but as an open invitation to come home to God's presence. Prayer can often feel difficult, distracted, or inconsistent, but let's be reminded that this is a shared human experience - even among the most mature believers. Prayer is a relational journey of returning again and again to a loving Father whose arms are always open, regardless of where we begin. Rather than striving for perfection, we are encouraged to start simply, persevere through distraction, and allow God to grow in us a deeper intimacy that shapes our lives with hope, presence, and purpose.

In Part 2 of our Prayer Series on the City Rev Life podcast, Pastor Craig Stephens sits down with Norma Fouts to hear her powerful testimony and why prayer is the foundation of her life. Norma shares the moving story of leading her father to Christ on her 30th birthday, the lessons she's learned about trusting God's timing, and the role of prayer in overcoming anxiety and finding true purpose. From honoring parents to living authentically as salt and light, she unpacks how seeking God's presence transforms not only your own heart but the lives of those around you. This conversation is a heartfelt reminder that prayer is more than words—it's a way of living in step with God's guidance and love.
In the second message of our Prayer Series, Pastor Robey unpacks the story of Mary and Martha to highlight the one thing that matters most—being with Jesus. While Martha was distracted by doing, Mary chose to sit at His feet, receiving what Jesus calls “the good portion.” This sermon challenges us to stop measuring our relationship with God by how much we do for Him, and instead prioritize simply being with Him. Discover what it means to build a prayer life centered on presence, not performance.
