Choose the Hard Way is the show about how hard things build stronger humans who have more fun. — One of my favorite comedians is Johnny Hilbrant Partridge, aka The PE Guy. His comedy operates at the intersection of private equity, hyper-conspicuous consumption, and radical insecurity. He is hilarious, and if you don't know his work, you soon will. — If you want to laugh go to @johnnyhilbrant, if you want to know who Johnny is, you're in the right place. This conversation is about the decade-plus Johnny spent working to become a comedy pro that preceded him blowing up as The PE Guy. We talk about the way life events and the sudden death of his twin sister shaped who he is, what he makes, where he is headed, and more. — A quick personal update. After three rounds of chemo, my cancer treatment took an unexpected turn last week. A PET scan showed we were successfully killing cancer. But my doctors told me it wasn't killing cancer fast enough to cure me. I'm going back to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for another biopsy later this week and when we get those results back, they'll figure out what my new course of treatment will be. — I'm confident we will cure it, and being in this limbo is scary, for me, and for my family. Whatever the road ahead is, we will get to cured, and I thank you for all of your love and support. — Please hit five stars and subscribe to Choose the Hard Way everywhere you listen. — The media landscape has changed. Every principal I know is starting to play around with AI, using it to write faster, produce more, get more off their plate. And most of them are walking away disappointed. In this episode I'm talking about why AI keeps falling flat for principals — and what the actual line is between what AI should handle and what it should never touch. We tried to teacher-proof teaching for decades. Smart boards. Scripted curricula. Packaged observation frameworks. Every single one ended up in a supply closet. Now we're reaching for AI with the same hope. And it's failing for the exact same reason. If you've ever felt like AI was creating more work instead of less, or like something important got outsourced that wasn't supposed to, this episode is for you. In this episode: Why principals in both the "barely using it" and "all in" camps are struggling the same way The graveyard of tools that were going to change everything (and what AI has in common with all of them) The one question to ask before you open any AI tool What a 100% Principal never outsources to AI (and why)
Jack and Nikki tackle allegations that ALL sports are as scripted as professional wrestling, look at research from Ohio about why people have accents (not why you think) and mercilessly ridicule jackasses singing in fast food drive thru's. When is this going to stop?
Mike Mulligan and David Haugh were joined by Chicago Sports Network analyst Ozzie Guillen to discuss the White Sox's thrilling 6-5 win against the MLB-best Braves in 10 innings Tuesday, when outfielder Braden Montgomery hit a walk-off two-run homer in his MLB debut.
Deputies found it during a medical episode. A six-page letter inside an LSAT prep book in Kouri Richins' jail cell. The letter scripted her brother's testimony. When they confronted her, she didn't deny writing it. She said it was part of a fictional novel about a Mexican prison. That answer is Kouri Richins in one sentence. Every threat produces a story. Not a planned lie — a reflex. Something that fires automatically under pressure before her brain decides to fire it. Every call was recorded. Every letter was monitored. She was facing life in prison. And she still couldn't stop. Her first attorney withdrew citing ethical issues. She told an admirer from jail she'd "expose this county, the prosecution, the judge, the Richins." She turned Eric's grieving family into jealous competitors in her version of events. Each new threat produced a bigger story. The stories kept making everything worse. She kept producing them. Then her attorneys told her to stop. Zero witnesses. No defense case. Three weeks of a murder trial where Kouri Richins said nothing while the prosecution's witnesses tore her apart. Her housekeeper described the fentanyl transaction. Her boyfriend broke down crying on the stand. A forensic accountant proved her success was a lie — approximately $4.5 million in debt underneath the image she'd built. For a woman who runs on narrative production, being ordered to say nothing isn't strategy. It's suffocation. The stillness the jury saw wasn't composure. It was a system in overload — a brain that doesn't have a setting for accepting reality without first rewriting it, forced into silence while reality was being read into the record one witness at a time. Every piece of testimony should have triggered the reflex. The reflex had nowhere to go. What looked like calm was collapse. The jury convicted on every count in under three hours. The speed told Kouri something nobody in her life had ever communicated: she wasn't even a hard question.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Ballroom Blitz: Distraction or Coincidence? Why This Political Chaos Feels Scripted Was it chaos—or calculated? Just as pressure mounts politically, another shocking moment takes over the headlines. Coincidence… or something more strategic? In this episode of The Karel Show, we break down the timing, the media response, and why events like this instantly dominate the narrative. The White House Correspondents' Dinner turns into what can only be described as a “Ballroom Blitz”—and suddenly, the conversation shifts. Again. So why does this keep happening at key moments? Why does the media move on so quickly? And why are so many people questioning what's real versus what's being presented? Karel dives into the patterns, the public reaction, and the bigger question: are we watching random events unfold—or something far more coordinated?

In this episode of Be Truly Heard, Anne Leatherland is joined by email strategist Katie Skelton to explore the powerful link between written voice and spoken voice. Katie shares how redundancy during maternity leave pushed her to start her own business, how she gradually found her niche in email strategy, and why the way we write and the way we speak are not separate at all, but two expressions of the same identity. Together, they unpack authenticity, improvisation, practice and trust, showing how finding your real voice on the page can strengthen your confidence everywhere else too. Katie reflects on building a business through many small evolutions, discovering the creative freedom of email writing, and realising that her most authentic work comes when she writes close to the feeling of the moment. The conversation also moves into public speaking, where both Anne and Katie discuss why rigid scripts often kill confidence, how improvisation can unlock presence, and why truly connecting with an audience matters far more than delivering a perfect presentation. Key TakeawaysWritten voice and spoken voice come from the same place.Katie explains that the voice people hear in her emails is recognisably the same as the one they hear in conversation. When your writing sounds like you, it creates authenticity and connection. Sometimes your business direction becomes clear through doing, not planning.Katie's move into email strategy was not part of a grand masterplan. It emerged through experimenting, noticing what felt natural, and listening when someone pointed out a strength she had overlooked. Authentic writing needs the right conditions. Katie talks about “ideal conditions” for creating work that feels real. For her, that means writing close to the emotion or thought she wants to express, often with a little bit of pressure and immediacy, so the words stay alive rather than over-rehearsed. Templates and formulas can make people lose their voice. In a world full of blueprints and frameworks, Katie believes many people become disconnected from what makes their writing theirs. Authenticity often comes from noticing your own natural rhythm, not forcing someone else's system onto it. Improvisation can be more powerful than scripting. Katie discovered through stand-up comedy and speaking experience that heavily rehearsed presentations do not bring out her best. She is far more effective when she trusts her expertise and responds in the moment. Trusting yourself is central to speaking well.Anne and Katie both reflect on how public speaking becomes easier when you stop trying to perform perfectly and instead trust your knowledge, experience and ability to connect with people in real time. Slides do not create authority, presence does. The conversation makes the point that anyone can research and build a presentation, but that alone does not create trust. What builds trust is knowing your subject and being able to speak about it with confidence, energy and connection. Audience connection comes from speaking to people, not at them. Katie adapts her voice by imagining one specific person when writing emails and by staying responsive to individuals in the room when speaking. That sense of real conversation keeps both writing and speaking human. Practice builds clarity as well as confidence. Katie says that writing every day has not only strengthened her style but also helped her understand her own opinions, processes and teaching more clearly. Repetition turns instinct into something you can trust and share. Best Moments “Our written voice and our spoken voice are not separate. They're two expressions of the same identity.” “I was forced into it through redundancy.” “I thought, well, if I'm going to do it, I'm going to have to do it now.” “People would reply and say, ‘I heard you saying this in your voice.'” “That's how people lose their voice.” “Scripted, rehearsed, rigid speaking does not work for me.” “I just perform much better under improvisational circumstances.” “The more secure you are that you are an expert… the easier it is to just stand up and talk.” About the guestKatie Skelton is the founder of Little Green Duck Ltd, where she helps solofounders and small businesses grow through clear, consistent email strategy and copy. She writes the daily newsletter ALTITUDE, read by ambitious businessowners for practical email and sales insights. With a background in winning multi-million-pound broadcast industrycontracts, she brings real-world strategy to founders looking to turn words into predictable revenue.About the HostWith over 28 years' experience, Anne Leatherland helps clients develop vocal confidence and personal growth. In a world filled with bold voices, breaking headlines, and rising "heroes," how do we discern what is real… and what is being carefully shaped? In this episode, we explore the growing reality of scripted deception—where appearances can be convincing, opposition can be controlled, and hope can be strategically redirected. From political narratives to prophetic voices, many things today sound right, feel urgent, and appear to align with truth. But Scripture warns us that in the last days, deception would not come dressed in darkness—but in light. Together, we'll walk through: • The danger of false hope attached to human figures • How controlled opposition can shape public perception • Why not every urgent voice is a trustworthy one • The difference between discernment and fear • And how the remnant can remain steady, grounded, and unshaken This is not a call to paranoia or withdrawal—but to clarity. Because in a world of shifting narratives, the question is not simply what is happening… It's whether we are anchored deeply enough in truth that we won't be moved.

Logan Jayson April 8th, 2026, Wednesday, 4 PM ET Topic: Cosmic Timelines, Escaping Reality, and The Scripted Nature Of Life BIO: Logan Jayson is an independent researcher, metaphysician, and creator of the platform CosmicSugar.org, where he explores the deeper architecture of reality, consciousness, and human existence. Through his writing and teachings, he examines themes such as the illusion of free will, the nature of polarity, spiritual awakening, and the hidden systems that shape perception and behavior. Logan's work blends elements of philosophy, spirituality, symbolism, and esoteric knowledge, often challenging conventional narratives around religion, society, and identity. His perspectives invite readers to question ingrained belief systems and consider the possibility that reality operates within a structured, coded framework influenced by both internal and external forces. At the center of his work is the development of the SpotLite system -- a multi-layered decoding framework that integrates over eight esoteric disciplines into a single cohesive model. This includes True Sidereal Astrology, Human Design, Numerology, Tarot, Cosmic Playing Cards, the Totem Pole system, and Alchemical elemental correspondences. SpotLite is designed to help individuals decode their identity, relationships, and life path through a unified lens rather than fragmented systems. It represents Logan's effort to move beyond isolated interpretations and into full-spectrum awareness of the human blueprint. In addition to his articles and teachings, Logan is the author of several ongoing works that synthesize science, symbolism, and spirituality into a unified field of study. His writing includes projects such as Cosmic Forensics, Forensic Synthesis, and Alchemical Theology, where he maps connections between language, numerology, scripture, chemistry, and geometry. These works do not argue causation, but correspondence -- emphasizing that when independent systems repeatedly converge on the same numerical and symbolic patterns, the convergence itself becomes the subject of investigation. Logan is also known for his work in decoding patterns, numerology, and archetypal symbolism, offering insights into what he describes as the “scripted” nature of reality. His approach suggests that life unfolds through a structured design -- one that can be observed through recurring mathematical, linguistic, and symbolic signatures across time. Through this lens, his work points toward a path of greater awareness, where understanding the system allows for a more conscious relationship with it. Logan Jayson is an author and independent metaphysical researcher whose work sits at the intersection of consciousness, symbolic systems, and the underlying architecture of reality. https://www.youtube.com/@DecodeYourReality https://www.spotlite.life/

On The Coaching 101 Podcast, Daniel Chamberlain and Kenny Simpson recap returning from Boston clinics, then discuss how they script plays and drives. Simpson explains that because their offense is unique, early plays aim to both score and gather information by showing motions, shifts, empty, trips, and unbalanced looks to confirm defensive alignments, rotations, and player keys, revealing advantages and matchups. Chamberlain adds scripting can also create future scouting complexity while avoiding rigid adherence to long 15–20 play scripts that can ignore hot plays, rhythm, personnel groupings, or standout athletes. Simpson uses a “3 plays for each of the first 3 drives” approach plus additional first/second half calls, and also scripts third-down and red-zone calls as tools to rely on under pressure. They note scripts evolve weekly based on opponent strengths, their own personnel, and tendency breakers without overthinking.00:00 Podcast kickoff in Boston00:44 Family trip and Bruins stories02:46 Clinic tour and spring prep04:18 Head coach time management05:48 Quote of the week setup07:32 Sponsor shoutouts10:52 Scripting plays overview12:27 Early script to gather intel17:36 Daniel's scripting philosophy20:22 Breaking the old script rules22:06 Script as a flexible tool23:08 Call Sheet Mindset24:26 Scripting Three Drives25:57 Personnel Rotation Planning27:38 Situational Scripts29:41 When to Go Off Script32:14 Evolving Weekly Scripts38:05 Wrinkles and Tendency Breakers41:32 Overthinking Tendencies42:45 Wrap Up and SponsorsDaniel Chamberlain:@CoachChamboOKChamberlainFootballConsulting@gmail.comchamberlainfootballconsulting.comKenny Simpson:@FBCoachSimpsonfbcoachsimpson@gmail.comFBCoachSimpson.com
46: Chapter 44. A Message from El-ahrairah Scripted by John Ruths and Newell Fisher and is narrated, recorded and edited by Newell Fisher. The pre-chapter quote is from a fairly well-known book about crusader castles. So, not 'normal' European castles but those built or occupied mostly in the Middle East. The quote clearly lines up with what's going on at Watership Down. As our heroes have essentially dug themselves in, they are kind of stuck listening to the activities above. The chapter opens after the passage of some time from the end of the previous chapter, with the Efrafan attack on WD having started. Speedwell is reporting to Hazel-rah that he no longer hears the sounds of digging. We then switch and get the point of view of the Efrafans who are surprised to see how many holes there are at this warren. Woundwort counters his unsettled rabbits with his own brand of logic. The WD rabbits have left themselves open to attack with so many holes, rather than the other way around and are not in a position of dominance. Vervain is starting to stand out as a rabbit who is used to being the bully at home rather than the bully far away. Only Campion and Groundsel seem to be holding up well. Two of Vervain's rabbits meet with the stalwart Silver and the oft-wounded Buckthorn underground and are lucky to get away with their lives. Trying to set the example, Groundsel digs his way in only to meet Blackavar who, much like Silver and Buckthorn, comes out on top. The descriptions of the altered conditions and advantages of close-quarters combat in a narrow run are fascinating. Blackavar is the smaller rabbit, but a good holding bite, and knowing when to let go, are all he needs to drive the larger rabbit back injured. Woundwort discusses things with Campion, who has advocated starving the WD rabbits out. This is rejected because of the risk of staying on open downland for the time needed, which not many rabbits could handle as well as Campion. Determined to have a fighting victory, Woundwort wishes to draw upon the past success at Nutley Copse, the last warren the Efrafans succesfully attacked. They find another rabbit, Ragwort, who was also on that mission. Woundwort learns what he has to. To make this work, the Efrafans will have to dig their way in straight down. Hazel listens for a bit and realizes that the Efrafans have stopped digging at one point. It means they're slowly figuring out the best way to get into the warren. Fiver is also listening but not to the omnipresent sound of the digging but to those things that only a rabbit such as Fiver can 'hear.' He's dropping off into some sort of stupor but he first makes a fearful unnatural sound and speaks sentences that strike fear into our heroes. For, while Fiver now lies unable to be roused, Hazel's mind is processing things and it seems like he too has a vision. Suddenly Hazel knows what to do. We readers don't yet and this makes this part very intriguing. In the form of Blackberry and Dandelion, he'll take both brains and speed with him. Hazel's instructions to those that he'll take with him are to get out of the warren. To get away no matter what and to link up with him at the iron tree at the foot of the scarp slope of the Down. He instructs Bigwig to block a run and not to give up. He intimates that El-ahrairah has given him a plan. And with that, Hazel and his two companions are gone. Hazel's vision Just a couple more thoughts on this chapter from John Ruths that pertain to Hazel's 'vision.' Was it a vision akin to one of Fiver's or does the trance that Fiver is in at the end of the chapter bring this onto Hazel? The relevant passage is from page 385 in my Kindle edition and begins: "In Hazel's mind, green branches were straining in the wind."

Here's some real news that will shock the normal people. Scripted world events are happening that the MSM won't touch. Subscribing to rigid ideologies generates worldwide problems. Russia's balancing act on energy is looking shaky. They lose, we don't. Eurasian struggles occur over power issues. Control the tap and call the shots. The huge geopolitical lessons of the day. Real wars occur that aren't on TV. The geographic chessboard is real. Let's start with the recent history of Yugoslavia. It got help in falling apart. Regional power struggles in action. Find fault lines and wire them to explode. History's extraordinary ironies are showing. The Ottoman Empire represented the beating heart of Islam. Turkey created Sharia law. Yes, our intel people were involved. No American citizens are dying for Israel. Geography provides unreal dynamics, and genocide. Cyprus was always screwed. The world's throat is the Bosporus Straight. Who are the new Ottomans? Erdogan is playing big cards. China's Belt and Road project produces political pressures. We needed Turkey, so that changed NATO's game. Don't forget the Saudi Turkey shadow war to control Sunni Islam. For those understanding the puzzle, the pieces are fitting together in an alarming way.

In this episode, Ryan Gable break down the claim that the 2026 Olympic Gold Medal hockey game between the U.S. and Canada was rigged for a Jack Hughes overtime goal. From Hughes' physical "sacrifice" of his teeth to his ties to the New Jersey Devils (a team named after a cryptid), we examine why some are branding the victory "Disney on Ice."We also look at the the closing ceremony of the Olympics which received no critical analysis over its two-hour airtime, which when combined with the opening produces over five hours of content—from this came a single image of a red knot and star that people called satanic or Baal. We connect these dots to a larger trend of "lazy" conspiracy theories that ignore the documented history of gambling and point-shaving in favor of mystical rituals. Roman Poet Juvenal famously wrote about panem et circenses, or bread and circuses. What most assume is a method of state-control was actually a demand of the public, Juvenal's fellow citizens. Conspiracy theories have become lazy, and many could probably do with bread and pageantry; instead, they choose to live parallel to reality into an echo-chamber that only gives them the authority of a blind and selective all-seeing eye. In this episode, we also dissect:The NHL & The Devil: How Jack Hughes' overtime winner for Team USA is being linked to his "mythical" NHL team and his kosher roots as part of a "grand distraction."The Kash Patel Connection: Analyzing the "uncomfortable" viral video of the former official drinking beer and celebrating with the team. The Magic Number 33: Why the U.S. finishing with exactly 33 medals overall has sent the "selective all-seeing eye" into a frenzy.NBA & NFL Scripts: Why the "NBA uses magnets" theory (born from old TV commercials) and the "NFL is scripted" marketing campaigns have made fans stop believing in reality.*The is the FREE archive, which includes advertisements.
