Join us this week as Pastor Scott continues through Romans 8 verses 35-39.
Paul emphasizes that nothing—whether trials, spiritual forces, or anything in all creation—can separate believers from God's love, which is secured through the work of Christ, not by human effort.

Weekly Kingdom Outlook Episode 172: God's Unconditional Love: A Personal Desire for Connection Frequently, we assume that God's love is unconditional and automatic. However, Scripture presents a more profound truth: God's love is not passive but actively seeks to reveal Himself to us. Since this is His divine will, we can rest assured that His love remains steadfast and unchanging.
God defines love by the things that He does, and what He does for His people spans the entire arc of history—from His predestinating love, in eternity past, to His ultimate glorification of the believer (Rom. 8:28-30). Nothing can separate God’s elect from His everlasting love: not tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword—nor the threats or accusations of any enemy (vs. 31-39). Thus, as His redeemed, God’s unfailing love for us should stir our hearts to love Him more!

When we're facing hardships or sorrow, it can be hard to see where God is working in our lives. Creators of Reverend Mamas, Victoria Robb Powers and Cameron Mason Vickrey, encourage us that God is around us whether we feel Him or not: in the wind, in the song of little birds, or in a child's laughter–and they talk about teaching children how to recognize that God is always near. Quotes “As parents, I think sometimes we put this pressure on ourselves to have all the answers for our children. I'm learning more and more how appropriate and helpful it is to actually tell your children the truth about the things that you don't know, particularly when it comes to faith.” - Victoria Robb Powers “Faith isn't necessarily about a right set of beliefs, but is about surrendering our trust in a God that we believe is good and faithful.” - Victoria Robb Powers “I think it's really important that we understand and embrace the fact that faith evolves. That will help us, so as our children's faith evolves, we don't panic. Let's celebrate that they're thinking and being thoughtful about who God is and the way God works in the world. In a lot of ways, that's a sign of faithful engagement.” - Victoria Robb Powers “It's really natural to kind of ask, ‘Where is God in this? Where is God in this experience that I'm going through, and these emotions that I'm feeling, in the suffering in the world? Where is God?'” - Cameron Mason Vickrey “No matter what you go through, no matter where you are, no matter what you've done, God is with you. So this persistent presence of God in the world, in the midst of your struggles and all of your feelings, is something that you can never get away from and something that you can always rely on.” - Cameron Mason Vickrey “When you start noticing and start recognizing and naming that God's presence is in all these things around you and all the people around you, you'll see God everywhere.” - Cameron Mason Vickrey Guest's Links Reverend Mamas Instagram Victoria's Instagram Resources Mentioned in This Episode Royal Lane Baptist Church My Love, God Is Everywhere by Victoria Robb Powers & Cameron Mason Vickrey Connect with Sally Lloyd-Jones Jesus Storybook Bible Facebook Jesus Storybook Bible Instagram Sally's website Sally's Facebook Sally's Instagram *Episode produced by Four Eyes Media*

In this episode we talk about one of Benjamin's favorite passages, Romans 8:38-39.
These days we feel deeply fragmented from one another, from ourselves, and from God. This week Pastor Juan invites us to remember that no matter how difficult, how fragmented, how negative it all seems that nothing can separate us from love. Accepting that reality, begins to shift our perspective, begins to free us towards a life of flourishing for us and for our neighbors.

Over and over again in the Scriptures, we discover stories of God's enduring faithfulness and love even in the face of faithless people who flake out. It's God's repeated mercy on the wayward ancient Israelites. It's God's unconditional love for Abraham and Sarah, and even scheming Jacob, despite their failures and doubts. It's the generous father running out to meet the lost son while he's a long way off. It's Jesus restoring Simon Peter, even after the disciple had denied knowing Jesus on the night of his arrest. And it's Saint Paul insisting that "nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus." So it's no surprise that there are classic hymns that bring this enduring love of God to the fore. And in this episode of Crazy Faith Talk, as pastors Sarah, Erica, and Steve continue exploring well-known hymns and their rooting in the Scriptures, we turn to a beautiful text called "O Love That Will Not Let Me Go." We invite you to listen in to the conversation and explore both this hymn text and the recurring promise of the Scriptures that God's love holds onto us... no matter what.
Do you ever feel separated from God? Ever feel like your past keeps you at a distance? On today's episode, we are diving into understanding that SOME things come and go but nothing can separate us from God but us!
How much is your life characterized by loving Jesus and all that He's done for you?
