In response to us kicking off a new series "Warfare" tonight, Charlie, Tate Ford, and Spencer Lee talk about spiritual warfare - how the enemy attacks you and what it looks like to run to the Lord so that He can fight our battles.

Kicking off a new series on Ephesians 6 called "Warfare," Pastor Zach breaks down verses 10 through 13 to find that we are at war against a formidable enemy. However, when we lean on Christ in the midst of the war, it becomes evident that spiritual battles aren't won by our strength - they're won by our surrender. 

In a night based on Deuteronomy 4:9, our panel of Seniors speak about remembering God's faithfulness in their lives, and reflect upon the lessons they have learned throughout their high school careers.

In this special edition of the Reckless Student Podcast, Charlie is joined by seniors Andrew Holcomb and Chloe Trottier. As seniors who are looking back on their years as high school students, they discuss future plans, fears, and leaving a legacy of being a Christ follower above all else.

In this episode, as Charlie is joined Ethan Davis and Judd Estes, the guys discuss what it looks like to reach your friends for Christ as a student. Based on our 5 in 25' initiative this year, the students discuss what it looks like to lift others up spiritually and walk with them toward Jesus.

In this one-off sermon based on our 5 in 25' initiative, we look at the man on the mat who is lowered down to Jesus in Mark 2 to find that everyone deserves an opportunity to be brought into the presence of Jesus. 

In a follow-up to our first message on a invitation to rest found in Matthew 11:28-30, Pastor Nate Galloway breaks down what it looks like, practically, to take steps toward rest. "Until Jesus is enough, we will never find rest." This powerful statement begs the question: "If Jesus was all you had, would He be enough for you?"

As we discuss kicking off a new series, Charlie is joined by Seniors Cole Hancock and Skylar Parker. They talk about their experiences to prove the fact that you can be physically drained while being spiritually revived. In our exhausting lives, the rest that the world offers pales in comparison to the Holy Spirit within us who brings rest to our souls.

As we kick off a new series on Rest, we dive into Matthew 11:28-30 to find an invitation to take the yoke of Jesus upon us. In the midst of a stressed-out world, we find that allowing Jesus to teach us His way of life see's that we experience rest for our souls in the way that we are truly meant to as followers of Him.

In this sermon, we are taken back to Genesis to look at the life of Sarah, to see that the Lord was faithful to through her most difficult times. Through learning to trust in Him, we see that Sarah was able to build her faith around the fact that God was writing her story even when she couldn't see it. In the same way, God is writing your story, today.

This week, we are joined by our young adults pastor Todd Hampton, who takes us through the courageous life of David - a man who was after God's own heart. Knowing that God fights our battles, we are reminded to identify the giants in our lives so that we can surrender them to Him. 

In this series, based on the "Hall of Faith" in Hebrews 11, we look at the lives of three different heroes of the Faith. Tonight, we look to the life of Daniel to see that a faithful walk devoted to God is a testimony to those watching. 

In this short sermon, we praise God for what He did through our high school missions team in Nicaragua, and look forward to the mission He has set before us. Like Philip in Acts 8, we are called to go and share the news of Jesus Christ with those who He places in front of us. Will you go?

This weeks topic of discussion was put to a vote amongst the students. In 1 Corinthians 6, Paul addresses a depraved church in Corinth with the same lessons that we look through tonight to find the importance and how-to in resisting sexual sin. Society has placed us at a disadvantage, but we have victory in Christ.

Based on 1 Timothy 4:7-8, students Charlie, Andrew and Bella discuss being broken down in repentance and built up in godliness for spiritual growth. They talk about the conviction of surrendering control, repenting of our worldliness, and committing to a reckless pursuit of walking with Jesus as a high school student.

After witnessing the Lord answer our prayers of renewal, our student team is committing to training ourselves for godliness and accountability as we walk toward Jesus together in 2025. 

Charlie is joined by Junior Tate Ford, and Freshman Jacob Barnes to discuss what it looks like to get off the throne of our own lives through the act of repentance. In response to Ken's message, the students discuss things like the culture and lack of reverence in it, what it looks like to genuinely fear God as a student, and what God's discipline looks like in our lives. As we continue in our Renew series, Ken Buwalda shares five key truths with us to reveal God's character as it relates to sin, justice and His holiness. The question now is: "How do we respond to this?" Our answer to this question determines the course of our lives. 

In this episode, Charlie is joined by Ethan Davis and Brennan Rice. The three guys talk about trying to "clean yourself up" before talking to God, and how He is the one who truly cleans us through Jesus. They further the conversation by also discussing seeking closeness to God, and what it looks like to consecrate ourselves as we seek closeness and intimacy with Him as a student. 

In week two of our Renew series, we take a deep dive in what it looks like for the Lord to renew the way that we approach Him. As we look at Scripture, we find that because of the hope that we have in Jesus, we can approach God with confidence. This hope is “a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God's inner sanctuary.” – Hebrews 6:19". We also find what happens when you approach God and remain in his presence: You become a friend of His. If we are to seek renewal, this is what we strive for: intimacy with the King of the Universe. 

In this episode, Charlie is joined by guests Chloe Trottier and Cole Hancock as they breakdown the sermon and go deeper into student-led discussion on what it means to be in awe of God. The students discuss things like: where they have personally experienced being in awe of Him, what it practically looks like to offer our lives to Him as students, and good places to read in Scripture so that we may meditate on how great our God is. 

In the episode as we kick off 2025, Reckless starts a new series called "Renew". Together, we are seeking a renewal of our hearts toward Jesus so that we may be prepared for whatever He has in store for us in the new year. In this sermon specifically, we look at God's interactions with Moses and the Israelites in the book of Exodus to get a better look at how great, how holy, and how awe-inspiring He truly is. God, renew the way that we view you. 

This week, as we continue in our Christmas series called "Joyful" based on Romans 15:13, we look at the Joy of Serving. Diving into Jesus' first public miracle in John 2 from the perspective of the servants, we find that serving sets the stage for the miracle. Yet, we also find the true miracle of Christmas, that is completely underserved by us, comes from the life and sacrifice of the one true servant, Jesus.

In this episode, Charlie is joined by guests Tate Ford and Judd Estes. The guys talk about subjects like: how they have experienced the Holy Spirit's power in their own life, aligning your life with the will of God, and overcoming sin with a band of brothers by your side. Brent Scott dives into the end times to see what the bible actually has to say about them. There can be so much fear and confusion surrounding around the time of Jesus returning and we want to provide a proper theology on how to discern this important topic.

In Week 5 of our series, we look at how sexual brokenness can happen to all of us through lust and pornography.  Why is this a big deal?  How can this pull us away from the plan God has for us?  How can we experience freedom from this struggle?

In today's Student Discussion episode, Avery and Charlie discuss Julie's message on gender identity and transgender.  They discuss lies that they can sometimes be susceptible to, masculinity and femininity, and talk about how teens can love those struggling with their gender like Jesus does but still help guide them towards the truth.They also discuss Charlie's trip to Scotland and whether he will ever become the next William Wallace.

In week 4 of our Christian Sexuality series, we talk about Gender Identity.  There is a growing number of kids and students who are questioning their gender, struggling with gender dysphoria, and are separating sex and gender as two different things.  How should we look at this topic?  What is God's heart for us?

In this week's Student Discussion episode, Avery talks with Lily, Tiffanie, and Caleb about the topic of same-sex sexuality in today's culture.  If we are going to have a Biblical framework for sexuality, how should we see same-sex sexuality?  How can we show love to others who are struggling with same-sex attraction?

What is love and who is it for? So often we go looking for love in all the wrong places. We must first receive God's love before we can start to love others adequately. In this message Sawyer talks about God's unconditional, transformational love.
