Philippians 1:1-6 NLT1 This letter is from Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus.I am writing to all of God's holy people in Philippi who belong to Christ Jesus, including the church leaders and deacons. 2 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. 3 Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. 4 Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, 5 for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. 6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. • • •1. An Affectionate Love • • •Philippians 1:7-8 NLT7 So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News. 8 God knows how much I love you and long for you with the tender compassion of Christ Jesus. • • •2. A Pattern for Prayer • • •Philippians 1:9-11 NLT9 I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. 10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ's return. 11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God. • • •1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NLT4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. • • •Galatians 5:22-23 ESV22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.Add your private notes...• • •Matthew 5:16 ESV16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. • • •Application:As our love for others grows, may it compel us to pray diligently for them.
This week, Pastor Sean Steinke guides us through "Jesus' Prayer School" as we explore the gift of prayer that connects us directly to the heart of God.Jesus often retreated to lonely places to pray, establishing a rhythm of communion with the Father. He emphasizes that prayer isn't about performance but participation in the Trinity's eternal fellowship. You'll discover how prayer transforms us from independence to submission, from commitment to love, and from fear to faith. Pastor Sean provides practical insights on incorporating prayer into daily life and highlights forgiveness as the crucial key that unlocks us from spiritual prisons.Whether your prayer life feels vibrant or you're struggling to establish consistent rhythms, this message offers fresh perspective on approaching God with the simple but profound invitation: "Here I am."Scripture ReferencesMatthew 6:1-15 (The Lord's Prayer)Philippians 2 (Christ's nature song)Matthew 18:21-35 (Parable of the Unmerciful Servant)Genesis 1 (Evening and morning rhythms)Psalm 32

Anxious? let's pray..
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. – Philippians 4:6
Rev. Brad Franklin talks about spiritual disciplines and why they are important. Watch this episode on our YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/CC6qBOlF4xw Sermon Notes: If you have time to worry you have time to pray. Prayer invites God to unleash his power in our lives Mark 9:29: "This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer." Acts 9:40: "But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, 'Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up'".James 5:14-15: "Is anyone among you sick? ... Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. ... Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. ... And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." John 16:33 “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Prayer for Daily Living: Heavenly Father,I'm praying with faith and submitting to your purposes. Teach me to believe. All things are possible with you. I humbly bring you issues that are beyond change without your intervention. Help me to persevere until you reveal your answers. Give me wisdom to ask for the right things and trust your timing. In Jesus name, Amen!
