A California native, Jenna came to New York to study acting at the world class program offered at NYU. She spent time in London thanks to be selected for the exclusive program at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Now she's acting, writing, and producing. We talk about what all of that is like while negotiating a day job and being a young woman living in New York City.Support the show (https://www.facebook.com/ReallyLegalPodcast)
Why the f*ck did we stop posting podcasts? Producer Jenna got busier at the golf course because people can’t do anything else with their time but golf right now. David made the transition from VaynerSports to Grit Player Services, a major leap of faith that will now turn our apartment into our company headquarters. It took a lot of time, a lot of hard work and a lot of midnight texts saying, “You up?” But in the end, we joined forces and brought on four new clients and are ready to hit the ground running again with this podcast by bringing on more guests with awesome job titles and even more awesome stories. We appreciate anyone who cares enough to listen and read this.
In this episode I’m chatting with the remarkable Jenna Segal, who is a Tony Award-winning producer and founder of Segal NYC. Jenna has also recently become the Co-Founder of Get in Shape Grrl (Broadway COVID Series), which offers free dance classes led by some of Broadway’s top dancers. Through her prolific career Jenna has learned so very much, and she shared some great insights during our conversation, including: Sometimes the worst circumstances can bring out the best in humanity. If something is making you uncomfortable because it’s out of your wheelhouse, embrace it – it’s a learning opportunity knocking at your door. When it comes to measuring success, ask yourself whether you feel fulfilled. As a means of self-care, it’s important to stand up for yourself and your needs. Healthy living is learning to recognize what is anxiety-inducing and finding a way to assuage the feeling. If you want to learn more about Jenna and the amazing work she does, you can connect with her via her website (https://segalnyc.com/), Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/jennasegal/), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Segal-NYC-Productions-1309750902371669/), and Get in Shape Grrl (Broadway COVID series)’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/658670808299060/).

Infiltrate Their Infrastructure! So, thanks for listening! Okay listen, after the last director series of Richard Kelly, we are bouncing absolutely back with a new old-fashioned episode! You ready for some segments? Segment city here we go! *We start off with a welcome back to my friends and some BAAAAD Stand-Up which is a segment of exactly what it sounds like. You were warned. *Alright next we got the pilot presentation for an all new segment called The Tru Tru with Simone where friend of the pod Simone Owens and I just gather together to ponder questions and tell the truth. Can we move on after the blatant lack of pizza etiquette we experienced? Was Legends of the Hidden Temple hiding some hidden racism? Also, Simone encounters her worst fear in: the drive-thru fiasco. We also answer the question: have we been Taken: the movie: starring Liam Neesons? And somewhere in there we talk about our boys Kenan and Kel! Simone is a local photographer but make it art but make it fashion who curates an amazing travel blog but make it chic! Links below >>>>>> *Next we have a gripping mini audio docu-drama called ‘Mallory Hates W*** ****h’ and its actually like I shouldn’t talk about it, so you should just listen, because spoilers! Mallory hates something, listen to find out what! But a thing I can talk about is that if you live in Pensacola, FL you can catch Mallory at Shirley’s Café for their From Scratch: Art Market next month! Stay tuned for updates! *And last but not least Producer Jenna’s Cubby Corner for this episode is all about Netflix’s Bird Box starring Sandy B herself. *SPOILER ALERTS FOR NETFLIX’s BIRD BOX STARRING SANDY B IN THIS SEGMENT ---- (TW; movie discussion that includes death, suicide, violence, John Malkovich etc) I also have a feeling that this isn’t the last time we have spoken about Bird Box.. Something tells me that we have somewhere around two hours of audio on Bird Box for some reason, and actually now BIRD BOX SQUAWK is a segment! See how you can invent things when you have a podcast! Bird Box is baffling and is on Netflix and worth watching. Machine Gun Kelly is an actor now! Jenna is not an actor, but she is a musician and like a scientist slay go off science, check out her band yall! On today’s podcast we talk about a woman who copied and pasted another person’s linked in profile and actually got four different good paying jobs because of it! Sandy went to Nashville for her birthday, she had a goal to hook up with a cowboy but this happened instead… We also talk about Marcus and Producer Jenna sending Sandy a birthday amenity while Sandy was in Nashville for her birthday this past weekend. Marcus called the hotel and had the woman who worked in amenities write the most inappropriate card, we recorded the entire call. It’s the Best. Call. Ever.

Sandy thinks her parents are over her. She feels like she is trying to buy their love; she explains. They even cancelled on her tonight! How long should sex take? We cover that and it’s not very long. FYI Canadians and Americans take the longest… Producer Jenna gave Marcus and Sandy a really weird, gross fact about dolphins that Sandy can’t deal with it.

The first feature film Jenna Edwards produced was April Showers, a film that explores a Columbine-like school shooting from the perspective of the survivors. The film lacked the resources of a big Hollywood production, but Jenna and her colleagues were able to bring in a full SWAT team and some notable names like Tom Arnold.
