The Daily Squeal's Tracey Stewart Guests Wife of Jon Stewart (former Daily Show host), Tracey Stewart is our guest. She reveals that Jon was behind her decision to leave the corporate world for animal welfare. She even says Jon has a special bond with their pigs. She's just released a brand new book exploring compassion towards all animals. Wildlife Docs Host of ABC's Wildlife Docs, Rachel Reenstra guests. She'll tell us about her unscripted TV show following the antics and rescues at Busch Gardens. Maybe we'll even find out what she's getting her pets for the holiday. Darwin's Dogs Dogs were the first animals people domesticated. Sadly, they also suffer from many of the same difficult-to-treat psychiatric and neurological diseases we do. Researchers from the Darwin's Dog Project put together a series of short surveys about everything from diet to behavior to personality. Any dog can participate and it's free. Once an owner has filled out the survey, they send you a kit to collect a small saliva sample from your dog for DNA analysis and they share any information they find! Dog Returned After SEVEN Years Once again you can thank a microchip for reuniting a lost pet with its owner, only in this case the dog had been missing for 7 years. Little mixed breed Mishka was only 3 when she got out of her yard. She was found late last month and turned in to a shelter in Ohio where the owner used to live. She now lives in Tennessee. The shelter says it was difficult to find the dog's microchip because it is normally located between the shoulder blades, but over the years Mishka's chip had migrated to her side. Read More…

Today's Guest: Rachel Reenstra, comedian and host of the ABC-TV weekend series "The Wildlife Docs," which is filmed at Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida.   Watch this exclusive Mr. Media interview with Rachel Reenstra by clicking on the video player above!  Mr. Media is recorded live before a studio audience full of animal lovers who are brought to tears by stories of the love between a woman and her kangaroo… in the NEW new media capital of the world… St. Petersburg, Florida! Rachel Reenstra’s got a great job: she hosts ABC’s “The Wildlife Docs,” a Saturday morning not-just-for-kids TV series. RACHEL REENSTRA podcast excerpt: "I got my first gig working with animals in 2006 on the Animal Planet series 'Ms. Adventure.' I thought it was a dream come true. I got to entertain and be in a personality-driven show where I traveled the world and compare animal-to-human behaviors. There was so much comedy material there! You never knew what was going to happen." You can LISTEN to this interview with comedian RACHEL REENSTRA, host of ABC-TV's THE WILDLIFE DOCS, by clicking the audio player above! Filmed at the Busch Gardens amusement park in Tampa, Florida, she gets to interact with all kinds of endearing and unusual critters as the show presents stories of animal interaction, medical intervention and recovery. The show is sweetly presented and Reenstra gives it an element of amusement and wonder, appearing between segments to make introductions and act as behind-the-scenes ringmaster for Busch Gardens creatures and veterinary staff alike. And that voice of hers – think Téa Leoni or Ellen Barkin -- will keep adults hooked as it announces her arrival even before we see her, slightly scratchy and a little gutural in a sexy but unthreatening manner. RACHEL REENSTRA podcast excerpt: "The more you discover who you are and what you really love, the more opportunities will find their way to you. This is a hard business, full of rejection. I was always an entertainer, but I always loved animals. I never thought these two could come together." Reenstra has been in show business for many years as an actress but seems to have found her niche with animals; in addition to “The Wildlife Docs,” she also starred in “Ms. Adventure” on Animal Planet. Key interview moments: • 5:35 Rachel Reenstra recalls her first TV series, "Ms. Adventure" on Animal Planet; • 15:30 Show business is hard, Reenstra says, but if you stick with it, you'll eventually get your chance to shine; • 25:20 "There were these mealworms -- like worms on crack -- crawling up my arms..." Whether swimming with sharks or standing in bat guano, the show must go on. Travel has brought many things to comedian/actress/TV host Rachel Reenstra, and they all seem to be a little out of the ordinary. As host of Animal Planet's "Ms. Adventure", she traveled as far as the jungles of Borneo to film interactions with animals in their natural habitats. She repelled into bat caves, wallowed ears-deep in mud pits, and battled temperatures that would make most showbiz divas fire their agents. But Rachel is cut from a different cloth. Needless to say, her stories veer to the "extreme" side of the tourism spectrum. Stick around for the whole episode, when Rachel unexpectedly reveals her true colors and talks about taking a Rick Springfield fan cruise. Is she secretly Jesse's Girl? Listen and find out!

OK, so I am frankly a lousy audio engineer.  Even with my new fancy set-up, this episode turned out to be recorded from the mic in our laptop and not the mics we were holding.  I tried to compress the file the best I could, but well, it may be hard to hear.  But Rachel Reenstra was amazing, so if you can gut through the audio problems, you'll hear some terrific stories of Ducey and Rachel's past.  Rachel is a TV host (HGTV's Designed to Sell, and Animal Planet's Ms. Adventure), and vlogger.  And a holder of a $2000 bottle of wine! Audio issues ironed out next episode.  Sorry Rachel and Ducey.  DON'T JUDGE ME!
