Authors on the Air host Pam Stack welcomes gritty crime fiction author Dharma Kelleher to the show. About my guest: Dharma Kelleher writes gritty crime fiction from a transgender/queer perspective. She is the author of three thrillers including Chaser, the first book in her new Jinx Ballou bounty hunter series, and Iron Goddess and Snitch in her Shea Stevens biker series. She is a former journalist and a member of Sisters in Crime, the International Thriller Writers, and the Alliance of Independent Authors. She lives in Arizona with her wife and three feline overlords. About the Book: When Holly Schwartz, a children's charity poster girl, jumps bail after being charged with her mother's murder, Jinx Ballou is hired to return the young fugitive to custody after a veteran bounty hunter fails to locate her. Jinx chases conflicting leads that point in different directions. The police suspect someone's helping the disabled fugitive escape justice. Holly's family believes she's the latest victim in a string of kidnappings by a sadistic human trafficker. As Jinx closes in on her fugitive, the situation takes a deadly turn. The body count rises, forcing Jinx to push her body, her skills, and her luck to the limit-not only to claim the bounty, but just to survive.
