Main Topic This month we get into Project 90. Ted Linhart is with us and ready to go with this amazingly important and topical document put together by RCA. We start you off with the history of RCA, how they connected with Disney and what the point of this document is. You have to imagine that back in the late 60s & early 70s, Disney was embarking on an entirely new concept of vacationing with Walt Disney World. Now before you get to into this, you might want to look at the document, and we will make it very easy for you to look at on Ted's site.Click Here For The Project 90 DocThe plan, as you can see above, is incredibly in-depth and really is taking the hospitality industry to another level. Nearly every aspect of the RCA corporation is put into use with WDW, and it is all fully outlined in this doc and this episode. The communication systems, security, charging and so much - all linked up and it sounds so seriously 2013 with the invention of the Magic Band. We go through most of this and discuss, so you might want to have the doc pulled up to flip through the pages as we talk. If you imagine the era, what vacationing was like in the 60s/70s, and then also picture the commitment this would require by Disney, it is all super ambitious and neat for the era.We would like to thank Ted for joining us once again - he always brings something unique and fun to the show and what is great about his mission, you can all join him. Take a look at his site, Disney Docs, where everything is organized and cataloged for your enjoyment. We hope you enjoyed this month's episode and also wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I’m looking forward to sharing with you some of our community’s questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Let’s get started! Mat: Hello Dr. Cabral,Thank you for all the information you make available for free! For the past decade I have had dry patches of skin on my eyelids or arms during the winter. Usually this clears up by spring. This year it did not and only got worse during the summer, leading to a general allergies diagnosis and then an eczema diagnosis. After two rounds of topical and oral steroids I decided to try and find a root cause / actual cure rather than just treating symptoms. I tried Whole30 as a rudimentary food elimination diet, but didn't see any improvement, actually just further outbreak. A friend referred me to your podcast and I just completed the Parasite Protocol and I am in day 5 of the CBO Protocol now. I've cut out all histamine foods on the list as well after listening to one of your other podcast episodes on skin issues. I have been taking Claritin for the past 7 years due to being allergic to our dog and dust and dander. We no longer have our pup, but I've continued to take Claritin. I've listened to the 3 podcasts you have that mention Claritin, but I did not hear anything specific to Claritin itself. If you were in my shoes would you stop taking the Claritin? I'm reading through the Rain Barrel Effect and wondering if this is contributing to my rain barrel. Thank you! Meghan: Hi Dr Cabral,I wanted to say thank you for all that you do, you are such an inspiring mentor and creating real change and giving us all hope which is invaluable. My question today is around grains and inflammation. I understand that grains can be inflammatory however I would like to better understand why. When I eat grains in consecutive days I get an arthritic pain in my right shoulder and within a few days of going off grains it goes away. I have recently finished the CBO Protocol and currently on the heal and seal protocol but would like to know how can I get my body to a point to tolerate grains without inflammation? Why does this happen? Thank you Anton: Hi Dr Cabral!I’m a long time listener and follower of yours.I have listened to all of your podcast, I’m a IHP student, and I also used the search page on your website, but I couldn’t find the answer.Does in which way you cook your food affect nutrition values and digestion? Take an potato as an example, what’s the different between a steamed, grilled in oven or cooked in water potato?Keep up the great work, you are the GOAT!I hope you know what that means, it’s a compliment ;-)! Anton: Hi again Dr Cabral.Last question for today!I have a history of concussions and for me Craniosacral Therapy work by an Osteopath has been terrific for changing my fight and flight into calmness and peacefulness.I couldn’t find that you have talked about it before, I would love to hear your opinion about it.I will continue doing it no matter what you have to say about it though ;-)!Thanks again, you are the GOAT ;-)! Mo: Hi Dr. Cabral, its Mo again! Today I am reaching out in regards to my daughter. She is 3 years old and I wanted some advice on a children's multivitamin, probiotics and Omega 3. I usually give her MetaKids Multi Soft Chew by Metagenics, and a small amount of the Omega 3 supplement from EQ and I also give her the Genestra Brands children's Probiotics. Are these okay for her? Please recommend anything you think she should take, brands, supplements, anything. I wish EQ had more children products (hopefully soon?).As always, thank you for your time, efforts, advice, knowledge, and everything you do for the world.ps. some mornings she sits with me watches your new videos! Cheers Mo Anonymous: Hi Dr Cabral. I’m a male in the middle 20’s. I know I have gut issues and candida overgrowth, I have ordered the CBO protocol and the CBO finisher, and I will soon start it. I don’t diagnose myself, it’s not allowed on the Cabral concept, but I have literally zero sex drive. My scrotum is literally hanging down to the floor and it feels like my body is 100 years old in that area. Could candida overgrowth affect this situation or are there other things I should rebalance in my body? This has been hard emotionally for me because I had this issue many years. It’s not that fun to have no interest in dating when you are in your 20’s but I try to stay positive, one day it will get better. Thanks Stephen you are my hero. This week on the podcast, I talk to Stephen Bracket (a.k.a. Brer Rabbit) of Denver hip-hop crew Flobots! We talk about their hit “Handlebars”, how the group got its name, and how he uses comic books to educate people in prisons and classrooms. He also draws on his experience to talk about the group's switch from a major label to becoming independent, and ways bands can communicate better. We end with a discussion about the fallacy of blind optimism, and he shares some info on the group's upcoming projects. Thanks Stephen! Special Guest: Stephen Bracket.

Fast AM Nutrition for Kids [10:17] Stephen says: Even with all the importance put on sleep, schools still are having kids wake up at very early hours. My son is not eating breakfast because as he says, I am just not that hungry that early and I don't have time to make anything. Yes, he could get up earlier but then he is cutting into the limited sleep he is trying to maximize. Question: what quick morning nutrition can you suggest for kids 10-14? does it differ if they are highly active or not? for an "undersized" child as opposed to an average-sized child? I am open to homemade and "store-bought" options. Trying to find something he can run out the door with and even eat on the bus if he needs. Keep up the great work. Thanks Stephen 2. Difference Dietary Needs within Household [16:01] Emma says: Hi Robb, I just finished Wired to Eat and loved it! I am currently over weight and have struggled with my weight for about 20 years. I really want to try the paleo diet but struggle when trigger foods are in the house. My husband and daughter, however have very fast metabolisms. My husband is on his feet over 12 hours a day at work and cannot function without a high level of carbs at meals. How can I balance their need for carbs with my need to stay away from them without having an anxiety attack watching them eat all the things I wish i could have? Thanks! Emma Sutton 3. Hot Baths Vs Saunas (as an alternative) [22:16] Michael says: Greetings to you both! Can hot baths stimulate the system (sweating and activation of heat shock proteins) in a way that is comparable to a sauna? Because of distancing (very tired of that word), more people have baths at their homes than saunas (why I ask). PS Nicki has the best infectious giggle I have ever heard, ever. I laugh every damn time she does. -Michael McIsaac 4. Low Carb and Electrolyes While Breastfeeding [28:22] Katie says: Hi Robb! Love the podcast. Would love to ask a couple questions.. I follow low-carb and am currently breastfeeding. I am wondering if that makes it more necessary for me to take an electrolyte supplement? How does one know if they are low carb enough to need one? Also, wondering about insulin sensitivity and the best way to test this. CGM? Fasting insulin, c-peptide, A1c? Thanks so much! 5. Keto and Dopamine/Cortisol [35:09] Andy says: Good morning Robb and Nicki, I have been listening to your podcasts since March and recently joined the Healthy Rebellion. I really enjoyed the Ziva meditation broadcast and I greatly appreciate the Covid Salty Talk, I was out for a walk and laughing my ass off at some of the comments. Please keep up the dark humor, I greatly appreciate it. I've been a firefighter for 20 years or so, been eating paleo for the last 10 (one of my crossfit firefighters got me introduced), but have always had an issue with the weight around the middle. We work 48 hr shifts and sleep loss is a common thing. I do my best to take naps at work and am trying meditation to balance it out. I have also struggled with depression and recently found a good counselor. So, my question is, with the sleep and depression issues, does this cause a cortisol response, resulting in the weight around the waist and can a keto diet help to balance this out? Thanks for putting together the Healthy Rebellion, what a great resource!!!! Thanks, Andy Transcript: Download a copy of the transcript here (PDF)
Winning a recruitment award, attracting passive talent, and having a website to drive your 3Cs (candidates, clients, colleagues) is a key goal for recruiters, their leaders and their marketers this year. I’m delighted to be talking to Stephen O’Donnell. He has had such a relevant and varied career in recruitment, the content of this podcast has something to offer all levels of recruitment. This podcast will give you some tips on how to make your website award-winning, as well as tackling many other topics such as how to get the right candidates to apply for your jobs, job advert hacks and passive talent attraction tips. Recruitment Award Hacks, Passive Talent Tips, and Websites We discussed: • Which 3 things MUST a recruitment website be able to do in 2019 • Want to win a NORA? What do you need to do? What do the judges look for? • Why go for an online recruitment award – what is the point? • What is the point of a recruitment website in 2019? What is the ROI? • What is the one thing that a recruitment marketer can afford to “throw out” before the new year? • What do recruitment websites need to stop doing? • Any “best job advert” tips? • What does passive talent want? • Any thoughts on how to get super-passive candidates to apply for your job? Stephen gave some hacks about what to do if you win an award – ie. How to generate more fees / candidates etc… Stephen and I disagreed about whether a recruitment website should candidate or client-centric… another podcast for another day? Thanks Stephen for being such great guest on my Recruitment Leaders’ Podcast.
Today's tip comes from a question I got recently: Is there a simple way to type a single word and have it list the font name and display the word, so you have a sample of all your font styles? Thanks – Stephen Yes, Stephen, that is possible! A few years ago I did this in MS Word, [...] Read more » The post How to display all your font samples in one place first appeared on The Computer Tutor.Download Ashford for WordPress

Happy Halloween! Kenneth Hite's piquant conversation with Dottore noshes onward into the guts of pathological cannibalism. I'm excited to be back with our 2nd Cabral House Call of the weekend! Right now, we're going to answer 4 of your questions on: Chad: Is it a good idea to empty out contents of vitamins/supplements that come in capsule form, into say a smoothie, rather than consume the vegetarian capsule itself? Thanks so much Erika: Hi Mr. Cabral, My Dad just recently had a "growth" on his prostate which he had surgically removed. "it wasn't cancerous" so he thinks he now has nothing to worry about. I am sure a growth is a sign of an unhealthy body and more bad new to come? Is this true? He needs to know this was a sign to change his ways, and is very stubborn in changing his diet. He does eat red meat weekly and just recently stopped consuming cows milk. Please help is persuading him to realize this was a sign. And do you see it as a precursor to cancer from past experience? Is there anything else you recommend? Thank you for all that you do! Erika Tara: Is there a certain amount of carbs women should be eating every day, even if they're trying to lose weight? I've heard that you should stick to under 50 grams of "healthy" carbs for weight loss and none of those from grains or beans, but then I've also heard that women in general don't do well eating under 100 g a day, because of cortisol and adrenal factors. What does your experience tell you? Is it fine long term to eat only non-starchy vegetables for carbs, with no grains/rice, beans or legumes? Thanks! Chloe: So I started using pure magnesium oil spray and I got an itchy sunburn like feeling from a few sprays on both arms and legs. I couldn't wait to wash it off! Apparently this reaction could mean a magnesium deficiency, wondered what your take is on this and should I stop using it? Thanks Stephen! I hope you enjoy the community Q&A and all the tips thrown in along the way! - - - Show Notes: http://StephenCabral.com/253 - - - Get Your Question Answered: http://StephenCabral.com/askcabral
