In this episode we see teenage Roger saving Jed from a bullet. It is an act that set Jed's live in motion. Through flashbacks we see the brothers experimenting and testing Rogers powers. A next step is need. Jed connects them with Hugh Bathory. He is a powerful and driven person with a vision. He coins the term Tomorrow People, because he is one. He has grand plans to help the world with the powers of the Tomorrow People. But Jed demands part of the research go to helping to give humans powers. This sets the two on a adversarial path. Jed convinces Stephen the only path to end the war is killing Bathory, The Founder.  They need John to kill him. It takes some hard conversations between Jed and Stephen and Jed and John, but they move forward. In the end it takes Jed & TIM hacking The Founder's security, Cassie distracting her dad, and a battle for John & Stephen to get to him. But in the end The Founder says all of this was Jed's plan to drive a wedge between them. He says he and Roger built the machine to help the Tomorrow People move forward. Cassie pushes Stephen out of the way and John fire the gun. The Founder deflects it and it hits and kills Cassie. Jed is on the run, and we don't know who to trust. Cara is getting flashes of a new Breakout. She is in her head just like Stephen was. Tim helps narrow down the location to Lincoln Center. Cara and Russell find her. The ballerina breakout is Cara's sister Sophie. Sophie is talented and has been working hard to shine as a ballerina. The powers are nothing that she wants. The sisters reconnect and with the help of Astrid, Sophie sees who Cara really is. Cara cannot crush her sister's dreams and imprison her in the Tomorrow People's life. SUMMARY In this month's episode of The SpokenWeb Podcast, ShortCuts is taking over the airwaves. ShortCuts is the monthly minisode that takes you on a deep dive into archival sound through a short ‘cut' of audio. In this fifth season, ShortCuts producer Katherine McLeod has been presenting a series of live conversations recorded at the 2023 SpokenWeb Symposium – and in this full episode, we're rolling out the last of those recordings. You'll hear from Moynan King, Erica Isomura and Rémy Bocquillon. You'll also hear the voices of our then-supervising producer Kate Moffatt and our then-sound designer Miranda Eastwood, who was there behind-the-scenes recording the audio and who joins in the conversations too.  Listening is at the heart of each conversation, and each conversation ends with the question: What are you listening to now? That ends up being quite an eclectic playlist and do check the Show Notes below for links. If you like what you hear, check out the rest of Season Five of ShortCuts for conversations with Jennifer Waits, Brian Fauteaux, and XiaoXuan Huang. Rolling Stone magazine took their moniker from the obvious place. We recently learned that CREEM mag did indeed borrow their name from the legendary Cream. So we realized there were a lot of artist's names that would make magazine titles as well. So this week we compiled our own list whose names fit the description of a cool magazine. "Jimi" would be a great guitar mag. "Doro" would be a cool for Ms. type mag for the ladies of the scene. How about "Bathory" for the Black Metal crowd? I'd say we came up with great choices. In our "News, Views and Tunes", we crank some new + used from Cloven Hoof, Necrot, Chaos UK, Oxygen Destroyer, Killer (80s), Tarot (Swe.) While still nowhere near the sound of classic Sabbath, “Tyr" is the closest we've been since "The Mob Rules." If nothing else, the 1990 sound of the band was unique from what other guitar driven bands were doing at the time. It's not the Pixies or Jane's Addiction or Bad Brains or Alice in Chains and it's certainly not Cannibal Corpse, each of whom released significant records that same year. What it is is a band that sounds fully in belief of the music that they're making and along with Bathory's “Hammerheart,” also released in 1990, it could be argued that “Tyr” helps invent Viking Metal (for better or worse).   Recommended Listening:    Khrunagbin “Hasta El Cielo” https://open.spotify.com/album/0CCC2ksZMrvRVXf9F1NADZ?si=WUk4n6zbRC6au_ANIsYQnQ   Spotify Playlist:  https://open.spotify.com/user/1298220429/playlist/4gy1wWwypkoFS2lUztvZ44?si=waSq07DBQlq3x9G1_nK0pg   Contact us at:  huntsmanhillpodcast@gmail.com   Our Music manhuntsman:  https://open.spotify.com/artist/7tFBWn0UFkdOEMf67TRD6W?si=vzllkbDwSEmfZFlj02GLRw Academy O.C:  https://academyoc.bandcamp.com/album/academy-o-c   Omertà 68:  https://open.spotify.com/artist/6dfiCa0qTlbPQUrqtIkStS?si=6SCjNtXbSO2xRBDuBKJelQ MidCityThree:  https://open.spotify.com/artist/2LW7wWSHd9bi3n3Q5N8i35?si=4UnUthYNR4K9FMv2dqFOVw   instagram.com/huntsmanhill https://twitter.com/HuntsmanHill

Austrian capital Vienna has a long history, dating back to the 1st century CE Roman military camp of Vindobona. It's been home to some pretty big names over the centuries. Mozart, Beethoven, Sigmund Freud, Gustav Klimt, Hedy Lamarr, Marie Antoinette and Erwin Schrödinger, among many others, have all lived in the city. Yet it's also got a darker side. Its vast Central Cemetery is a testament to the Viennese fascination with death. Empress Elisabeth of Austria, nicknamed Sissi, apparently had a fascination with the supernatural, and some say she still roams the hallways of the Hofburg palace. Original Airdate 3/22/2016Cooper and Radulich are working overtime to bring you an extra dose of that MHOD you love. This week we are review Destroyer 666's Widlfire!New 2016 album from Aussie war metal legends bringing classic Bathory & 80s thrash influenced hellfire anthems.DESTRÖYER 666 have no need to prove anything. The band originally starting out as a solo project of BESTIAL WARLUST guitarist KK in Australia in 1994 has already delivered four highly acclaimed and influential albums that cemented their excellent reputation within the metal scene. Now 'Wildfire' makes a complete fist that goes straight into your face. These nine heavy hymns are made of the essence of metal. There is no core, no post, no bullshit on this album – just great hard hitting song. Each track is hammered out rough and gritty, yet at the same time they all are intelligently arranged and massive in sound.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsoFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76

The debut full lengther from the almighty Venom "Welcome To Hell" is one of the most influential underground albums ever. Not only in the Black Metal realm but thrash and NWOBHM as well. Its also the album that turned Snowy to Metal full time. We've often said "No Venom, No RAM". Turns out though, Aaron wasn't familiar with this classic (!). So we decided to take a deep dive into this amazing album. Not only all the stand out tracks but the artwork and passages on the jacket as well. We enjoyed  dissecting this record so much we decided to make this concept a semi regular. Stay tuned. Musically, we crank some Bathory, Holocaust, Full of Hell, Into Eternity, Savaged, Arkham, and Suburban Hypocrites.   Horns Up!
