Rev. Dr. Beverly Dale, also known as “Rev. Bev,” is a sociologist-turned-pastor who has made a career of teaching a pleasure-centered, justice-focused, and sex-positive Christianity as an ecumenical campus minister at the University of Pennsylvania, as faculty at Lancaster Theological Seminary, and as a local pastor. Her latest book is Who Told You That You Were Naked? Meditations on the Sexual Body from PIlgrim Press. It is a book to help people heal from the problematic teachings about sexuality from the Church by offering tools to help people feel comfortable about their body and pleasure. Before the featured conversation, co-hosts Robin Renée and Wendy Sheridan share Timeline Cleanse info on an uplifting environmental book and a cat with (at least) two names. The arrest of Ras Baraka and the upcoming June 14th protests are the focus of the Pièce de Résistance segment. Robin reads their new essay, "Fool Me Twice" and Wendy puts forth another principle outlined in On Tyrrany. Things to do: Read Who Told You That You Were Naked? by Beverly Dale. Keep up with Rev. We are back with a brand new edition of the podcast, and we are sharing with you a very interesting and insightful interview we had with Christian Filmmaker Michael doesn't make “cheesy church films," he makes authentic films that not only the church relates to, but also the secular world could relate to while receiving the universal message of Love. Michael has three movies out on Tubi. One is a Christian superhero movie called “The Keys of The Kingdom” and his other two movies are Christian drama's “The Wages of Sin” and “A Mother's Daughter.” Him and his wife Desireé Chin, also have a Christian book out called “Almost Not Born” available on Amazon. In addition to our interview with Christian Filmmaker Michael Kleos Chin, we also share some exciting news about our next slate of shows we have coming up including our Thanksgiving show, which drops Saturday, November 25th at 8pm. PLUS, we went back into our ministry archives and we are sharing with you an excerpt from the message that inspired our first book entitled, "Who Told You That You Were Naked?" This is a powerful message about identity that has already been a blessing to so many. And, it is still available in hard copy and e-book form on Amazon. Who Told You That You Were Naked?
Do you really ask for what you want? Do you even know what you want? My friends Compton (Nicole) and Marimba join me today and talk about how easy it is to never ask for what you want, and how hard it can be to start asking for-and receiving- the cheese. What's your cheese? Some of "my cheese" is fidelity, love, financial security, a healthy body and a healthy mind. Listen to this episode and then grab a pen and paper and start thinking "What is my cheese?" Save the date for "Who Told You That You Were Naked?". It's an in person talk with me, Ree-Ree, scheduled for August 25, 2021. I'd love to see you there! Follow me. on Instagram @GoReeReeGo.

And, we have another dynamic throwback message excerpt from a message entitled "Who Told You That You Were Naked." This is the message that our first book is derived from. Needless to say, we have another great show in store that you cannot definitely afford to miss.
Episode 2: What is Petty Today’s guest is my friend Crystal. Her ex-husband gained custody of their two young girls in the divorce process. She was unprepared at the way the court viewed home educators and stay at home wives. She believed that because she invested so much in taking care of the family, she did’t think she needed a good lawyer. She relied on her Christian background and believed that simply telling the truth would be of benefit to her. We go through the official definitions of some of the words used to describe betrayed women. Words like petty, un-dignified, and bitter. We compare these definitions with the reality of the circumstances. Crystal's contention is that it is people that load more into the meaning of bitter and petty than the definition describes. During the discussion we also unpack our feelings as to how these negative labels are generally directed toward women. Connect with Ree-Ree at www.goreereego.com. Download the free ebook "Who Told You That You Were Naked?" and purchase her new book "Not Bitter. Just Petty."
