This morning was a rocky one with technology at Church on the Rock.  The podcast has a rough  beginning, but it is a POWERFUL teaching!  That being said; we are finishing up our Real Talk Series.  Our main text comes from Romans1:9-13. WHO we PRAY TO has ALL POWER!       b.)   Make REQUEST...But REMEMBER that the SUCCESS of your REQUEST...RELIES ON HIM! 4.)  Be REDUCED       a.)  God's answers to your prayers are about HIS WILL...and not YOUR WANTS       b.)  When we REDUCE ourselves in our Prayers the REASONS for our REQUESTS become CROSS FOCUSED (SAINTS and SALVATION)...not COMFORT                    FOCUSED (SELF, SAFE and SIN) 5.)  Be RECEIVING  RVs: Romans 1:1 - 13 (NASB) Philippians 4:6-7 (NASB) Psalms 127:1 (NASB) Colossians 2:6 -7 (NASB) Matthew 6:33 (NASB) Luke 22:41 - 42 (NASB)   ROCK RESPONSES: If your prayers are REAL…RECEIVE HIS RESPONSE to YOUR REQUESTS… what’s the point in going to God…if all you want to RECEIVE is YOUR ANSWERS not HIS RESPONSE Rock Response #1: When you REALLY want a RESPONSE to your REQUEST...you will be RELENTLESS.   Rock Response #2: Remember that the POWER of PRAYER is found IN, THROUGH, and FROM the ONE whom you are PRAYING TO...THE LORD YOUR GOD!   Rock Response #3: In prayer...Give God YOUR HEART and allow HIM to "speak what is true"   This morning's teaching was brought through Rashad Cunningham.

We made it!After waiting for four months to see if we could raise enough money to make it happen, and waiting for four hours on the tarmac to see if the airline could remove enough ice to make it happen, we made it to the National Youth Workers Convention (NYWC) in St. Louis! We set up our booth in the Exhibit Hall and spent the next 96 hours meeting people, giving away t-shirts, and hearing stories of what God is doing in youth ministries around the country. Nearly 5000 people were there. "These are our people."I don't think we've ever had more fun!While we were chatting with folks and hawking the podcast, we also set up our "studio" and asked people to join us for a few minutes. We recorded nearly 30 responses to questions we made up. The results are interesting, encouraging, and funny. Here they are for your listening pleasure.We're already excited for NYWC 2019 in Tampa.
