The Avalanche are on hiatus due to covid after going without Nathan MacKinnon for one game. Again. Plus, our MVPs and surprises of the season so far, a role found for Tyson Jost, and, regrettably, the Avalanche chose to play He Who Must Not Be Played...

We don't talk about Nathan MacKinnon's injury in this episode because it hadn't happened yet. We do try to figure out how the Avs can find cap space to call up players, marvel at Bowen Byram, and complain about Martin Kaut's demotion, though.

We open the season in busy fashion by bidding adieu to Ian Cole, welcoming Bowen Byram to the lineup, shaking our heads at mystery injuries and the goalie pipeline, and wondering where the second line is!
