We wrap with another 2015 moment, when Maple Leafs' Nazem Kadri was actually sent home for being late, proving even the pros aren't immune to a rough morning.

0:00 - Friday was NHL trade deadline madness! The deal was dead, and then it wasn't. The Colorado Avalanche brought back Nazem Kadri! Then, the Avs beat both the Stars and Wild in a shootout. What a truly wild weekend for the Avs. One downside - Landy suffered an extra-unfortunate injury in the Dallas game and will miss some time.20:24 - The Broncos gave TE Adam Trautman a 3-year x $18.5 mil contract. Take that, DragonSlayer69. Brett's a little confused by the deal, though. What DOES he want to see the Broncos do in Free Agency as this so-called "legal tampering" period opens up?35:15 - The thrill of victory. The agony of defeat. The Nuggets got absolutely OBLITERATED and embarrassed by the New York Knickerbockers at Ball Arena on Friday night. They lost by 39 POINTS. Oof. And to make matters worse...David Adelman's postgame press conference was drowned out by the sounds of the Knicks blasting music in the locker room.
0:00 - Welcome back to Denver, Nazem Kadri! How fun was that seeing Naz set up Mack for a goal against the Wild? It's like he never left. The Avs roster is set and it is STACKED.12:43 - The NFL's "legal tampering" period will open shortly! Will the Broncos chase anyone on the open market? Maybe? Please? Can they go get someone for bolster the offense?31:38 - Oh, by the way...The World Baseball Classic has been ELECTRIC. Hold this L, Moser. The tournament has been a blast. Oh, by the way...someone choked at the finish like of the Los Angeles Marathon. Can you imagine blowing it after running 26 miles in the lead?
0:00 - Ain't no rest for the wicked. The Nuggets have to lick their wounds then head to OKC tonight. They might not have Jamal Murray (as we await the updated injury report). It's gonna be an uphill battle. Against all odds. Other cliches. What are the keys to a Nuggets victory tonight?14:24 - Moser said he enjoyed seeing all the #91 jerseys at Ball Arena yesterday for Nazem Kadri's return. No one threw away or burned their Kadri jerseys. Which begs the question...when DO you chuck a jersey after someone leaves? Did Avs fans burn Mikko jerseys? Did Nuggets fans trash their Melo jerseys? What's the protocol?34:32 - The Nuggets have lost the benefit of the doubt. We no longer believe this team can win a championship, at least not the way they're playing right now. How can they change our minds. Tonight, go look like you belong against OKC. Play with confidence. Make a statement. Don't bet blown out of the gym.

A relatively quiet trade deadline was highlighted by the surprising move of longtime Capital John Carlson to Anaheim, where the Ducks leaned further into building an offensive identity. Calgary GM Craig Conroy provided late day drama by sending Nazem Kadri back to Colorado as he chases another Stanley Cup. The Flames also moved Mackenzie Weegar earlier in the week and now sit on a large stockpile of draft picks as they rebuild with a new arena waiting in the wings. Several notable names stayed put, including Robert Thomas in St. Louis and Colton Parayko who declined a trade to Buffalo. Nashville’s Ryan O’Reilly and Steven Stamkos, and goalies Sergei Bobrovsky and Jordan Binnington also stayed with their current teams despite the rumour mill. Toronto sold off pieces like Bobby McMann, Scott Laughton, and Nic Roy while keeping Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Montreal held firm despite exploring a bigger hockey deal as their young playoff window opens. Edmonton added Connor Murphy and Jason Dickinson earlier in the week, but with Colorado loading up and Dallas and Minnesota looming, whoever survives the Pacific could still face a Western Conference buzzsaw.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
