En medio del caos y del fuerte despliegue militar, la pregunta central gira en torno a quién ocupará el vacío de poder. RFI entrevistó a Salvador Maldonado, investigador del Colegio de Michoacán, para analizar el reacomodo interno que enfrenta el cártel. Los habitantes del estado mexicano de Jalisco intentaban retomar su cotidianidad con cautela: salieron a comprar comida, llenar tanques de gasolina y abastecerse de lo indispensable, todavía asustados por la cruenta jornada de este lunes en la que murió el narco Nemesio Oseguera, líder del temido Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG). Bloqueos de rutas, quema de vehículos, ataques a gasolineras, comercios y bancos, enfrentamientos con autoridades y miedo generalizado: el caos se vivió en varios lugares de México tras el anuncio de su muerte a manos del ejército. El gobierno desplegó aproximadamente 10.000 militares para proteger a la población, mientras que la presidenta Claudia Sheinbaum afirmó que el país "está en paz, está en calma". La pregunta ahora es quién tomará las riendas de la poderosa organización criminal. Ante la ausencia de su líder, el cártel se enfrenta a varias hipótesis, explicó a RFI Salvador Maldonado, doctor en Antropología e investigador en el Colegio de Michoacán. "El Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación es un grupo bastante diferente porque el liderazgo de Nemesio mantuvo controlado y centralizado a gran parte de la organización. [con su desaparición ] se va a generar, a nivel de la dirección, un reajuste. Lo que me parece más importante son estos reajustes que la organización va a experimentar a nivel de alianzas regionales y locales. Esos reajustes van a ser lo más significativo en cuanto al sostenimiento de la estructura y eficacia de la red criminal, la cual se había sostenido con el liderazgo de El Mencho". Según Maldonado, el Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación podría mantener sus operaciones intactas sin un claro cabecilla, aunque solo a corto plazo, ya que una organización de ese calibre necesita un líder sólido que maneje los aspectos económico, social y político que le permitan mantener su enorme infraestructura. "El CJNG está fracturado"  "A corto plazo es una organización que va a estar tratando de sobrevivir a la nueva realidad que está enfrentando. Pero en el mediano plazo es importantísimo recordar que estas organizaciones, en su propia configuración socio-histórica, siempre han requerido de la figura de un líder que medie entre los liderazgos emergentes, los nuevos liderazgos, entre las decisiones a las alianzas, y un líder que más o menos sea como el equilibrio en los arreglos a nivel económico, político y social. Creo que eso se va a ir definiendo quizás en el mediano plazo. Es importante recalcar que en este momento esa estructura está fracturada, pero no creo que el funcionamiento de la economía ilegal vaya a sufrir afectaciones. Éstas podrían llegar a partir del momento en que se empiecen a reacomodar las piezas. Es ahí cuando se va a ver hasta dónde están dispuestos a seguir sosteniendo una organización de este nivel". Para la mayoría de los analistas, la ausencia de El Mencho no significa el final del grupo delictivo. Candidatos para cubrir su puesto no faltan. El cártel enfrenta ahora un delicado proceso de reacomodo interno que podría derivar en disputas por el poder o incluso en la fragmentación de sus células regionales.

Across the world, our legal systems are crumbling, the rule of sane law dismantled in real time. Yet at the same time, rivers, mountains, bees are being granted legal rights in ways that would have been thought impossible even a few years ago.  And in boardrooms around the planet, C-suites and businesses are increasingly looking to the natural world for guidance on how to be in ways that heal the web of life. So how do we make this work? How do we ensure that it's not just another layer of corporate greenwash? Our guest this week, Alexandra Pimor is Director of the Nature Governance Agency (NGA) within the Earth Law Center. Increasingly, she is acting as a proxy for the Voice of Nature in corporations and organisations, in professional practice, project management and organisational cultural evolution. For many years a legal scholar and academic, her practice, studies and research are anchored in a quantum-based ecology of law paradigm, espousing a critical, reflective and multidisciplinary approach. She has a deep passion for people and planet, and, as you'll hear, she now sees it as her mission to promote the facilitation of conscious governance and leadership, at individual, collective and organisational levels, to advance the emergence of an anthropo-eco-logical system of harmonious living. In our conversation, she lays out what it means to take Death - and Life - as our Witness; to evolve a Sacred No and a Sacred Yes; to speak as the web of life, not for it or to it.
