According to the FBI’s National Crime Information Center, there are now nearly 88,000 active missing persons cases in the US. Most of their stories have never been told — until now. Introducing Disappeared, the official Disappeared podcast from ID. Hear the stories of these missing people and the chilling details of their disappearances. On every episode, you’ll hear audio from episodes of the hit TV series Disappeared — and now, you can uncover the mystery while you’re on the go.
The Disappeared podcast is truly a gem for true crime enthusiasts. As a fan of the show on Investigation Discovery (ID), I was thrilled to discover that there was also a podcast dedicated to these compelling cases. It's unfortunate that the show on ID has been discontinued, as this podcast proves how valuable and impactful it can be in shedding light on missing persons cases.
One of the best aspects of The Disappeared podcast is its ability to bring these TV show episodes into pure audio format. It allows listeners to still enjoy and engage with the content even without the visual element. The narrator does an excellent job of captivating the audience with his voice, making it easy to get absorbed into each episode. The stories themselves are intriguing and heartbreaking, highlighting real-life missing persons cases that need exposure.
However, one drawback of this podcast is the lack of updates at the end of each episode. While it's understandable that many of these cases are still unsolved or have been ongoing for several years, it would be beneficial to provide current status updates or any advancements in the investigations. This would make the podcast more current and potentially help in solving some of these cases.
In conclusion, The Disappeared podcast stands out as a fantastic true crime podcast that brings attention to missing persons cases. Despite not having updates at the end of each episode, it remains a captivating listen for fans of the TV show or anyone interested in delving into real-life mysteries. It's a shame that the show on Investigation Discovery has been cancelled twice, but hopefully, this podcast will continue to shed light on these cases until they find resolution.
