I Did It Again" im Jahr 2000 ihr zweites Album herausgebracht. I Did It Again" raus. I Did It Again" hagelt es Platin- und sogar Diamantauszeichnungen. I Did It Again" für viele Jahre ein Fundament im Musikgeschäft gegossen. I Did It Again" wird im Podcast gesprochen: (15:33) – "Invaders"(16:00) – "Oops!... I Did It Again"(38:44) – "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction"(46:36) – "Stronger"(57:09) – "Lucky"(01:01:33) – "Dear Diary"__________ Alle Shownotes und weiterführenden Links zur Folge: https://1.ard.de/britney-spears-oops-i-did-it-again __________ Ihr wollt mehr Podcasts wie diesen? "The Amazon directly influences global climate stability. If it collapses, the consequences will extend far beyond Brazil – disrupting weather patterns, increasing extreme events, and accelerating global heating."Visit https://Genn.cc for more information.View the related article: https://monicapiccinini.com/2024/03/06/the-br-319-highway-a-scientists-call-to-action-for-the-amazon-and-beyond/In this Climategenn episode we are taking a closer look at conflicts of interest in Brazil, threatening the Amazon rainforest, an essential global ecosystem. As well as the indigenous communities that live within the forest regions and it also threatens all of us around the world. A common phrase we hear these days is: what goes on in the Arctic doesn't stay in the Arctic. We also know that what goes on in Antarctica does not stay in Antarctica. It is the same for the Amazon. If it is allowed to collapse – and this is the policy trajectory Brazil is on – then the outcome will be catastrophic for the global climate system. Two years ago I interviewed a Chinese climate scientist, professor Jingfang Fan, working with the Potsdam Institute, who identified a teleconnection between heat from the burning Amazon and the Tibetan Plateau. The transported heat to the Tibetan Plateau, via stratospheric jets, is accelerating the melt of the ice in a region often referred to as the third pole. The heating of the Amazon directly threatens the water security of 1.5 billion people on the other side of the world. To bring us up to speed on the conflicts of interest between what the Brazilian President, Lula da Silva, says is policy and the projects he is green lighting, is journalist Monica Piccinini. Monica and her colleagues are covering these issues in depth and as the spotlight is shot on Brazil for COP30 in Belem, a city within the Amazon region, we get a glimpse of what is really going on. Links to Monica's related articles are also in the notes. In the next episode I am speaking with Professor Raymond Pierrehumbert from University of Oxford. Professor Pierrehumbert coauthored an article in The Guardian very recently with Professor Michael E. Mann from University of Pennsylvania, specifically criticising the UK government for their research grants into solar radiation management geogineering techniques. This is a topic I have covered for about 15 years and – far from fading away – geoengineering is being seen by a growing number of people as humanity's escape route from continued burning of fossil fuels. Thank you to all subscribers and members for supporting this ongoing series of interviews. I have many more in the pipeline and episodes are available in the members area before going public. If you like, you can also support my work by ordering my book 'COPOUT - How governments have failed the people on climate' available worldwide in paperback and from a multitude of online retailers not owned by Jeff Bezos. A simple act of kindness on the open road can turn into a nightmare – these true stories of hitchhiking horror will make you think twice before picking up a stranger… or thumbing a ride yourself.IN THIS EPISODE: The open road is a beautiful place where you can make friends that you'd otherwise never meet and have adventures that will change your life. But there are also extreme dangers to traveling with strangers on highways and backroads. No matter how trustworthy or well-intentioned a driver might seem, it's nearly impossible to tell if they are actually a predator or murderer, preying upon innocent hitchhikers. Creepy, true hitchhiker stories can make you think twice before picking up that stranger at the side of the road - or trying to "thumb it" yourself.SOURCES AND RESOURCES FROM THE EPISODE…“The Hitchhiker” original story at the beginning of this episode was written by HoneyBunny00: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/2p8b53e2“Hitchhiking Horror Stories” by Isadora Teich for Ranker.com: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/3yj8t3ka, by Jacob Shelton for Ranker.com: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/2s4a2wkz, Eric Redding for ThoughtCatalog.com:https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/hk8pn8rf, and from ScaryCarries.com: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/2aead59t“Phantom Hitchhikers” posted at Anomalien.com: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/y4dxkv7m, Kelly Agan for Medium.com: https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/36wucpzm, Paul Adams for The History Press:https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/2p8z538u, and Krystal DeCosta for ScientificAmerican.com:https://weirddarkness.tiny.us/mr29nkpa=====Darkness Syndicate members get the ad-free version. https://weirddarkness.com/syndicateInfo on the next LIVE SCREAM event. https://weirddarkness.com/LiveScreamInfo on the next WEIRDO WATCH PARTY event. https://weirddarkness.com/TV=====(Over time links seen above may become invalid, disappear, or have different content. This movie is a case study in how a generic title combined with a bad poster can sink even the best of movies into obscurity. How this thing isn't talked about CONSTANTLY is a downright tragedy.

»I´m on a Highway to Hell«, tönt es aus dem Fenster.

Program publiceret i DR Lyd d. 8/12.

Fifty years ago, in the fall of 1974, Bon Scott and AC/DC joined forces. They began building the foundation for what would go on to become one of the world's biggest rock and roll bands. With Bon, they reached the height of their commercial success thanks to the multi-platinum-selling 1979 album Highway To Hell. After Bon's untimely death, Brian Johnson stepped in as lead singer, and with 1980's Back In Black, the band was even bigger. The album topped the charts and went on to sell 27 million copies. It ranks as one of the biggest-selling albums in music history. Here to talk about the amazing story of AC/DC is author Susan Masino, who wrote the book Let There Be Rock: The Story Of AC/DC. Originally released in 2009, the updated edition was released through Omnibus Press in 2020. This week is very special, Jef, Josh and Brian made it to their 300th episode! What better way to celebrate than to dive head first into that big old demon dumpster and pick a film most have never heard of and or seen! That's right, The FM3 decided to grab "Highway To Hell" out of the grease and grime and give it a little spit shine as well as a spirited chat regarding this forgotten foray into the netherworld. The crew were excited to stand at the gates of hell and take in all this wacky wonky movie had to offer. While Josh seemed to love everything this flick delivered, Jef drove his nitrous VW down the line between love and hate leaving Brian in a 90's purgatory filled with every member of the Stiller family and not even a hot ass Kristy Swanson couldn't shake him free. Kick back and listen as The Forever Midnight crew churn out a meaty 300th for all you wonderful listeners! Thank you to everyone that has tuned in and supported these spooky dudes over the last 300 episodes!

Barry Taylor is a former priest with a PhD in theology and pop culture, who was once a touring sound technician for legendary soul artists Marvin Gaye, Gladys Knight, and The Stylistics. But it was hilariously working on the Highway To Hell tour in 1979 with AC/DC that Barry converted to Christianity, ushering in a new immersive phase of his life. HIs book Sex, God, and Rock 'n Roll is a wonderful collection of essays based on the “random magic and mystery of life”, recently riffed upon by comedian Pete Holmes in his Netflix special I Am Not For Everyone (2023). Though AC/DC are one of the most revered and successful bands in the history of rock n roll, in 1979 they hadn't cracked the Top 100 in the US. The killer riffs laid down by Malcolm Young had gained them a strong following in Europe and their native Australia but they had yet to breach the great big U-S-of-A. So in 1979 they brought in a new producer, Robert John "Mutt" Lange to give them an edge. And though they were all skeptical after giving Eddie Kramer a shot, once Mutt showed them he knew how to sing, how to get the most out of Angus's guitar and how to put together songs, they were all on board. However, though this would be their big breakthrough in America with Highway To Hell reaching the Top 20, the celebration wouldn't last as lead singer and primary antagonist Bon Scott would soon die while living that rock n roll life. But before he left he gave us some of his patented sexual innuendo (Walk All Over You, Love Hungry Man, Touch Too Much) and his description of his lifestyle in the title track. Cliff Williams had settled in on the bass after Powerage and the live album If You Want Blood You Got It and Angus Young came of age with the help of Mutt Lange in the studio. The result is some of their greatest riffs (Highway To Hell, If You Want Blood (You've Got It), fan favorites (Girls Got Rhythm, Shot Down In Flames) and controversy (Nightprowler). It marked the end of an era with Bon Scott but the start of working with Mutt Lange who would help their next album become the 2nd biggest selling album of all time. When Jesus died on the Cross He showed us that there is a hell. If there isn't a hell then Jesus made the biggest mistake a person could make by dying to save us from a place that doesn't exist. Yes, the Cross of Calvary tells us that there is a place called hell. In this message we look at six flashing red lights that are on the highway to hell.

Melissa Huray has dedicated the last two decades to helping people with addictions find freedom. Radically delivered by the Lord Jesus 20 years ago, she is a masters level addiction counselor with degrees in communications and exercise physiology. Her many writings have appeared in local magazines, Steve Bannon's War Room forum, and in Charisma Media publications. She is also the executive director for the Lindell Recovery Network. Prior to entering the field of addiction recovery, Melissa was an on-air radio personality and Emmy award winning news reporter and anchor. But at the time, she was a television news reporter by day, blackout drunk by night – no one suspected that capable and competent Melissa Huray needed alcohol to survive. In spite of her public persona, the squeaky clean girl from small-town Minnesota spent years carousing seedy bars – shockingly drunk with no hope of remembering anything the next day. With surprising candor and raw emotion, her new book, Blackout to Blessing – How the Perfect Love of Jesus Saved Me From the Highway to Hell invites the reader into Melissa's journey through childhood dysfunction, the fleeting relief of alcohol and empty relationships, and the dreadful daily grind familiar to the functional addict. #alcoholism #addiction #addictionawareness #counseling #faith #jesus #inspiration #motivational #melissahuray #highwaytohell #blackout

Summary: AC/DC's follow-up to Back In Black, 1981's FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK (WE SALUTE YOU), seems to have a heavier, darker, and doomier vibe than its legendary, multi-platinum predecessor. FTATR (WSY) is all about dynamics, as Robert John “Mutt” Lange's production masterfully blends the sounds of Highway To Hell & Back In Black with just a touch of the old school Bon era, resulting in an album that's louder, crispier, crunchier, and overall, pure FIRE! (Not to mention, it's got frickin' cannons on it!). And similarly, as with Back In Black, there is almost an interchangeable quality to it, as you could just as easily listen to Side 2 first and then listen to Side 1 (though, to be fair, Side 2 might actually be better than Side 1). Always remember that there's no such thing as “fat vampires” and “you can't change your name once people are used to calling you what they're used to calling you”. Get ready to do some “binge listening”, try to avoid doing “all that weird flippity stuff”, be sure to “have a nice June” while you're “rubbing the canyon” and JOIN US as we dive into what may just be the finest album of the Brian Johnson era of AC/DC with FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK (WE SALUTE YOU). In this episode, we chat with philosopher and historian Dr. Émile P. Torres about the dystopian fantasies of ecologically-blind tech billionaires – transhumanists, longtermists, and effective altruists – of defying nature, transcending humanity, and colonizing the universe. Highlights of our conversation include: how transhumanism is built on the idea of creating God-like AI to reengineer humanity to achieve immortality, sustain capitalist growth, and colonize space; how the effective altruism's utilitarian approach to philanthropy is not only blind to systemic change, social inequalities, and moral integrity, but it also perpetuates neoliberal ideology that further contributes to inequality and exploitation, e.g. Sam Bankman-Fried's ‘Earn to Give' fraud; the intersection of capitalism, longtermism, and the proliferation of global catastrophic risks in the age of AI, and the ethical implications of unchecked technological progress and environmental destruction; the stark differences between the indigenous long-term-thinking approach and the impoverished and hubristic longtermism philosophy put forward by William MacAskill and Nick Bostrom, which prioritizes the existence of trillions of future disembodied people living in computer simulations over the suffering of current day people and nonhumans; their dangerous rhetoric around ‘depopulation panic' based on the underestimation of environmental destruction and anthropocentrism, and how some people like Malcolm and Simone Collins are repopulating humanity with their own seemingly superior genetic material. See episode website for show notes, links, and transcript: https://www.populationbalance.org/podcast/emile-torres ABOUT US The Overpopulation Podcast features enlightening conversations between Population Balance executive director Nandita Bajaj, researcher Alan Ware, and expert guests. In this chapter, Solomon provides a stern warning against the dangers of adultery, using the narrative of a young man seduced by an adulterous woman to illustrate the severe consequences of succumbing to such temptation. The chapter emphasizes the importance of adhering to wisdom and moral discipline as safeguards against destructive choices. It depicts the young man's path to ruin as inevitable, likening him to an animal led to slaughter. The Rev. Stewart Crown, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Palo Alto, CA, joins the Rev. Dr. Phil Booe to study Proverbs 7. Step into the spiritually rich landscape of the Book of Proverbs, a text divinely inspired and attributed to Solomon, the sage king endowed by God with unsurpassed wisdom. This ancient scripture begins with heartfelt lessons from a father to a son, laying a foundation of moral and ethical guidance before unfolding into a collection of timeless proverbs. It uniquely personifies wisdom and folly as two paths that stand before humanity, offering a choice between a life filled with virtue, fear of the Lord, and understanding, and one marred by shortsighted pleasures and foolishness. Proverbs serves as a compass for those seeking to walk in righteousness, offering insights that resonate deeply with the human experience, guiding us toward a life of purpose and discernment according to God's will.

If you're like me, you love a good road trip. The open road, listening to your favorite music, chasing suspected serial killers, picking up sinister hitchhikers, making sadistic enemies on your CB radio, taking the backroads to hell. Good times!Stacy Keach and Jamie Lee Curtis are the token Americans, obsessed with the pursuit of a driver in a green van, who they suspect may be a homicidal maniac, in the Australian trucker suspense classic Road Games (1981). C. Thomas Howell makes the terrible mistake of picking up kill-crazy hitchhiker, Rutger Hauer, and then becomes the prime suspect for his crimes in The Hitcher (1986). A young couple eloping to Las Vegas, leave the interstate, only to end up in a struggle to escape the underworld on the Highway to Hell (1991). And then from there, a CB radio prank becomes a nightmare for two brothers, who are targeted by a psychotic trucker out for revenge in Joy Ride (2001).
We are on the last March Madness episode and we're a little late, but it's worth the wait because we are joined by the lovely ladies from the Histories & Mysteries Uncovered Podcast. We are joining forces to cover I, Tonya starring Margot Robbie as Tonya Harding the infamous figure skater who was blamed for the assault against fellow Olympic hopeful Nancy Kerrigan. But this movie shines all kinds of light on the abuse Tonya faced from her mother Lavona, played by Allison Janney and her ex husband Jeff, played by Sebastian Stan and (arguably) from the public and media. In this episode: our guest Jess asks 'who wrote this?' After she's forced to say Daddy Harding, our guest Ash describes the person in this movie that she would let lick her face, Corinne suggests Tonya could have rifled through the dumpsters at Hooters for potential ice skating outfits and Tamara gets ice skating judgemental. We thoroughly enjoyed having the Histories and Mysteries Uncovered Ladies on this week's show and we hope that you lace up and skate by to experience I, Tonya with us.
